I have been going to this pain management for quite some time now. On April 2nd I went in for my normal appointment and I didn't go back May29th due to someone in the office couldn't get the paperwork right concerning my knee injection. So on May 29th, I went to my appointment at 8:30, my doctor Rebecca Mitchell (IPA) accused me of doing meth. I was blown away because I know I don't do drugs. Rebecca Mitchell was sitting there looking spaced out like she didn't believe me. I left the office went home to settle my nerves. I called up there to file a complaint, but Shay claimed they didn't have anyone like that in the office, but like I told Shay everyone has a boss. So she put me on hold to speak with Supervisor Latrina (if that is how to spell her name). I explain to the supervisor the issue and she claimed she would look into it on Thursday 29th, and call back on Friday or Monday. Today is June 1st, I didn't from her all day. I decided to call at 3:45pm to see if Latrina was available, but Lisa answered the phone stating that Latrina(supervisor) would call me back before they closed today. It is 5:50pm and the office has closed. Let me, say this on the 29th, I went to AnyLab Test and paid out of pocket for a 10-panel drug test, and on June 1st all my test came back negative. This IPA is not to be trusted at all. Be careful when you are dealing with them. I don't know what the motive was behind it, but I don't use drugs. I asked to be retested which Rebecca Mitchell said she could not retest me. read more

This is Michelle Beard in temple. I've paid an outrageous amount of money everytime I went for procedure. All my payments are not there, they made me pay 25.00 a month for amount they say I owed. It's back to where it started from and I haven't been there. My insurance I had,sent me tons of paperwork saying I don't owe anything, IPA didn't turn all the paperwork in on time and it says on my insurance print outs patient owes zero. The Insurance said IPA is making me pay because insurance didn't pay them until they resubmit it. I have the paperwork and conversations printed out. They still taking 25.00 a month out after me explaining this to them. Insurance said they will cut a check to them when info is resubmitted. They also charged me when I met my deductible. I am sending a letter of ceasing my payments, they are not Authorized to take money from my debit card under this act, Any transaction attempted or processed after receipt of this notice shall be considered unauthorized, unlawful, and subject to dispute, and may constitute a violation of the Electronic Fund Transfer Act (15 U.S.C. § 1693 et seq.) and applicable state and federal law. This needs to stop now. If the certified letter doesn't make them stop, I will take it to court and ask for all my money back. If they stop now, I won't ask for the money they ripped me off of!!! Look at these stacks and stacks of papers since 2023 they been charging me, for something they didn't turn in on time. I talked to insurance, they said all my balances are zero because insurance didn't pay all that because IPA didn't turn in on time. They rip you off here, sketchy. Drs are fine, the office don't know their crap. I'm going to go to the bank also and give them a copy of certified letter. IPA can get into big trouble taking that out of my card after I went up there with paperwork and told them I do not Authorize my card to be used. I wanted them to make copies of what I brought, lady said take a seat 30 min later my dad come in and said he's going to be late to an appointment. We left. I've called them several times they argue and say I owe all that!!! Insurance says no I don't. Here's the stacks of proof and letter from IPA. IPA again I do not authorize you to take anything out of my account by my card. Do something now then I won't go on, if not y'all, my bank and attorney will get copies. Unlike other pain clinics interested in a payout, IPA Integrated Pain Associates in Killeen is Fantastic, totally 5-Star Service... Sometimes they are behind on their appointments, but it's because they, IPA Providers, Nurses and the Staff Members are extremely attentive to all their Patients, Customers ensuring all their needs are properly and completely addressed.... The this Company, Business seems to always dot their i's and cross their t's ensuring all their Patients, Customers always get greatest care possible. And Although some of the Patients, Customers don't appreciate my Registered Service Dog accompanying me to my appointments, we, myself and the Staff fix it so they can bypass us, myself and my Service Dog in a professional manner keeping the other Patients, Customers from freaking out. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE WACO IPA OFFICE, they get a 0-Star Rating. Their Female Phone Person, whom refused to give me her name, forcefully told me, verbally tried to make me go to her Waco Office, versus going to Killeen Location for my appointments, which I have been going to for years. She was Highly, Totally Disrespectful, Rude, Crude and Unacceptable as a Representative... I told her, They, the Waco Clinic, although had never stepped in to this Clinic, are fired. No one tells me, especially a paying customer via my insurance companies at what location, where I will be seen at, or who will see me...period! With the exception of the Killeen or Waco Locations, I cannot give a valid review regarding the other locations. My First visit with IPA they referred me to get MRI/Xrays for my lower/upper back pain, that's fine with me and sounded like a good idea. On My second visit to IPA it all went downhill....they told me I need to get another MRI as the first set of MRI orders IPA sent thru were incomplete and the orders they sent thru didn't mention my upper back, I told them I would do it but they need to cover the bill as I could not afford a second MRI bill as i just received a 2k bill for my first MRI. They called me back a few days later and said they would not cover it. So here i am with a messed up back and a 2k MRI bill and no progress on my pain due to their mistake. Also on the Second Visit the PA there on duty was acting unprofessional in the office , made me uncomfortable, if I stayed with IPA I was going to ask not to see him anymore. read more

This place is ridiculous. My doctor sent a referral over to this place over a week ago. I tried calling the number and nobody ever answers the phones All you get is a recording and that recording is telling you to go to their portal. I am not going to go through a portal that I don't have access to to send them the message and ask when they're going to schedule me for my appointment. I had to physically go into the building and there was four girls sitting in there in the lobby behind the desk doing nothing. There's no excuse absolutely none for not answering the phones and doing their jobs I don't know what the heck they're doing over there but they're not doing their jobs. I went in there and I gave him all my information and I gave him my insurance information and then this it will call you since referral comes in and we'll schedule It's been over a week going on two weeks and nobody's bothered to contact me back and I sure in the heck can't contact them. I don't have a car I have to pay people to take me wherever I need to go. I'm going back to pain management where I got my referral from on Tuesday and I'm going to let them know right away that I'm not going to be going to that facility where this place is because it's a waste of my time. I'm going to have him refer me to someplace else, no wonder this place only has two star review and I'm giving it a one if I could give it a zero I would give him that. Therefore I have never seen a doctor over there and I don't intend to because if this is the communication issue that they have with this facility, I'm definitely telling everybody not to go there. I was referred to this clinic to discuss the pain stimulator, I thought I was going to be pain free after hurting so badly for 3 years. I met with Dr Delgado first and then Dr. Lowry. On 25 November 2020 I went in for my trial stimulator, it worked perfect for the 7 days, no PAIN, also doing this time Zack from Abbott Lab called and checked on me. I was very happy with the success, it was removed on 2 Dec. On 17 January 2020, I went in at 6:40am for the permanent stimulator (BIG MISTAKE). I woke up paralyzed with no explanation given to me as to why, NONE I was still sedated when I ask Dr. Delgado why can I not feel my legs, all I remember was, he to someone to call and have me sent to Seton Hospital ER. I remained in their ER until 2:30am (what time was I sent there, I do not know). I woke up and as for something for pain, someone told me, we can not do anything for you, we are going to send you to BSW in Temple, at 2:30am I was on my was to Temple. This was 18 January I was fully awake and confused by the time I arrived in Temple. A Neurologist spoke with me and informed me, we are getting ready to take you to surgery, we HEB got to remove those items out of you back right now. In surgery 17th and 18th January. Remained in Temple iCU from 18 Jan to the 24, was transported to Round Rock to Encompass Rehab where I remain today, no feeling in my lower extremities and can not walk. All from a nerve stimulator surgery, 3 different doctors at 3 different times to me the same thing and it was nothing I did and it was not my fault. STILL PARALYZED WILL GO FROM INDEPENDENT TO DEPENDENT IN A WHEELCHAIR. WALKED INTO INTEGRATED PAIN CLINIC ON 17 Jan, have not walked since. read more

Greedy folks here!!! Always waiting 20-30 mins past my appt time. If you can't see the patient in the allotted time make appt longer... yes you might miss out on some money but maybe your patients won't be so upset with the service they receive. If I were late they would cancel my appt, my time is important too. I'm through being stuck in the middle. I have photocopies printed, ready to hand out to everyone in the waiting room that has my insurance (Medicare/TFL) who intends to get an RFA. I intend to discourage everyone from getting an RFA until this is resolved. Tricare covers RFA's (handout), has been for the last 11 years, until your office changed the billing code. read more

Insurance paid $700 and now they still want $200 from me so a total of $900. Going to IPA was one of the worst mistakes I have ever made. The doctors and staff were nice at first. Then, the nurse practitioner started making suggestions that they might stop my meds. No reason why. I did everything they told me to do. The urine tests were all good. Then toward the end, the head doctor started making negative remarks to me, subtle things like, "we used to get people like you here, but now they are all gone." Don't go to IPA if you have a chronic pain situation. You might regret it. read more

I had emergency gallbladder removal on 3/5/23. They gave me three days worth of pain medication and a referral to Integrated Pain Associates. I wasn't able to get in until 10 days later. I spoke with the office staff that Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, before the appointment, just to see if they had any cancellations. I show up for the appointment, had to take an Uber, only to be told that they cannot prescribe anything for my surgical pain. Not once did anyone mention to me that they do not prescribe for things of this nature, I never would've went there. It just confirmed my feelings about pain clinics, they really don't care, they are just getting your insurance money. The doctor wouldn't even suggest anything for me. I cannot take Tylenol products or NSAIDs, I am allergic. You would think that a doctor, after seeing your medical record, and, seeing the incisions on my belly, would have some sort of suggestion on what I could do. This is one reason why I don't take pain medication. Because when you really do need it, no one will give it to you, But go to an emergency room and they're shoving it down your throat... Or through an IV. Thankfully, I did find a pain clinic that wants to help. Even made an appointment for an in-house nerve block! Anyway, in summary... Integrated Pain Associates is a racket. If you don't have something that is chronic, meaning, you only go to see them one time, don't bother because they will not help. Ascent Pain Solutions, Dr. Thomas Burgess, have been wonderful. It is the first time I actually felt heard by a doctor. Just kind of sad that he's not a primary care doctor! read more

Everyone beware, you'll be charged for both integrated pain, and day surgery center for getting any shots. They won't tell you anything until a year later when they will no longer see you because you noww you owe more money. They didn't send me a bill for a year, and now want to argue about it's the insurances fault. The front desk, DRs and nurses are all nice, but the billing side are nothing but scammers. Also, good luck getting ahold of them, wait time is either 10 minutes, or never. Just go to the building if you need to get ahold of them. And good luck cancelling your appointments. Don't waste your time and money with these idiots. I've been going to the Temple, Texas location for months with ZERO improvement in my pain levels. They keep prescribing medications that haven't worked for me in the past, despite my telling them that they didn't work. I told them today that I needed something to get me through the next couple of weeks until they could do the surgery on my back. But they went right back into wanting to prescribe the same medications that didn't work. They kept telling me "we're here to help, " and "what do you want us to do?" I told them I wanted something that actually helped with the pain until my surgery. This went on for awhile until I told them I felt I was wasting my time and money with them. It was about that time that Dr. Irvine made his appearance and inyroduced himself as the Fpunder and CEO of IPA and informed me that I was being discharged from their care and to not come back. You can bet your life I'm not going back. They don't listen, They care, & they don't help! I found out today that IPA agreed to repay over $800,000 in overcharges in order to avoid a lawsuit. I regret not doing my research about IPA before we started having issues. A simple google search would've been enough. I can't say one good thing about my husband's care that he received while going to IPA. I honestly believe their surgical center is putting patients at risk. I have never seen patients treated so poorly. Complete incompetence at every level. From answering the phone, to procedures and finally billing. It is apparent that they are only in it for the money when you're told they have quotas to fulfill and goals to meet for surgeries. (I was told that 4 days after my husband's spinal stimulator placement.) I wouldn't take a stray dog here. They fluff the billing for insurance and then send an astronomical bill, once you call they'll say "oops it was a mistake." If you need your records, you'll be forced to file a grievance with the Federal and State governments to get those. They are the worst kind of crooks. Taking advantage of those in pain. read more

I wish I had read these reviews before choosing Integrated Pain upon my arrival in Texas. (This review is regarding the Waco office). I have been dealing with chronic pain for 12 years and have never been treated with such suspicion and disdain. If you like to nod and smile, this office may work for you. If you learned to advocate for yourself as a patient and speak honestly about how you feel, do not bother. Many errors were made by the office staff in my case, as well. I waited at least an hour for every appointment. In two out of four visits, I was forced to return to Hewitt because the scripts were written wrong. The nurses closed the window to gossip about me and took over 10 minutes to rewrite the script even though CVS had already called them to report the error. Clerical errors are forgiven if the care is good... but the care was even worse. Those of us with true chronic pain know there are dark days. In trying to speak with the nurse over the phone regarding my current state of pain and mood, I was berated and told to retract the statements or be dropped as a patient. I waited 3 weeks to express my feelings until I saw the actual Dr, who I thought would be disturbed by someone in distress being scolded over the phone for reaching out in a time of need. He instead agreed that I am a "red flag." He literally raised his voice at me, told me that expressing my dark emotions were a way to manipulate him for more medications, and revoked the only meds that have helped me in 12 years. Apparently this practice has never had someone with true chronic pain. They are oblivious to ebbs and flows of this horrendous life and to the depression and anxiety that come with debilitating and life-altering pain. The lack of empathy in treating someone on the brink due to life disruption from pain was truly astounding. Since when is telling your dr you are struggling the wrong thing to do? If you would like to be heard and helped, this is not the place for you! read more

Linda White I can truly give the highest rating to this medical group. All of the Physicians are patient in listening to you describe where and how your pain affects you. They will immediately start researching what the root cause of the problem is and start treating you as needed in order to relieve the pain and if possible bring you back to a normal functioning level. The ancillary staff are also wonderful. Kind, friendly. They also move about quickly. They are always busy with clinic tasks. It makes me feel as if they are concerned with the quality of care anymore coming into their patient care rooms will perceive they will receive, just by what they see, even before the doctor comes into the area. read more

Very poor quality website and service. My wife went multiple times for back pain issues and they gave her numerous treatments that were ineffective. They revealed information about her back that they had kept from us only after treatments failed and we were several 1000s of dollars in debt. Then they give you the run around, making you go to several appointments that are pointless but cost a good 100 bucks each time. So yeah, I'm not impressed. Then, to make matters even better, their website is impossible to navigate. I looked for a good while in order to pay my bill and never managed to find where to go. I've been going to the clinic for several years now . My doctor is Scott Irvine and he's so compassionate about his work. The staff are so friendly and helpful. I feel so comfortable when I enter those doors and that I've come to a place who cares about my pain and are going to do everything in their power to help me . I saw my doctor, Dr. Lowry, once, and he seemed really good. But I haven't seen him since. I only see nurses. I am having the worse experience here and am going to get a referral to another place. I asked the doctor and a nurse if I can communicate electronically or over the phone any medical updates. That way I didn't have to continuously come in for no reason and pay my copay. They said I could. But no one at the front desk is letting me do that. I am out of medicine, in pain, and they are making me wait a week from now to come in. My biggest issue is a bill I got for a urinalysis of 900$. Apparently during a short time period they decided to mail off urinalysis tests to a California company, out of network, that I now have to pay for. I've been overcharged for a tens unit and had a credit on my account, but no one bothered to tell me until i was complaining and trying to speak to the office manager and doctor. Who, I never got to speak with. I left a message for the doctor on their website 2 months ago with no response. I left a phone message a couple of weeks ago and I doubt I'll ever get a call back. When I do go in for an appointment, they just ask if everything is the same and that's about it. This place has caused me so much grief and money. I would not recommend going to this business. It feels like they take advantage of those that are chronically in pain. read more

My first experience wasn't bad due to the fact being a truck driver there wasn't really much they could do for me. It was my second visit, after my body forced me to stop driving, that was a nightmare. The nearest location is 3 hours from me. This would be well worth it if I was getting the treatment I needed. I had my appointment with Krista Strawser FNP-BC. She is a absolute quack! She first decided that she couldn't treat me for my back unless I have an x-ray (that part is completely understandable) and then do several sessions of physical therapy. While I agree with the many benefits of physical therapy, when you're in so much pain one can't move it should NEVER be the first step. What angered me the most is her refusal to treat and complete ignorance in regards to my fibromyalgia. She preceded to lecture me on how simple diet and exercise is the only treatment. This lady has quite obviously not done her homework nor has ever experienced chronic pain. While diet and exercise always help, this is not a way to handle someone with fibromyalgia. I discovered years ago sugar makes things worse for example, however, simply cutting out sugar does not control fibromyalgia. There are many additional treatment options and anyone unwilling to explore such options and treat such patients is an absolute moron! She should not be working in a pain clinic! So after months I'm left with no real treatment, still unable to work, and in search of a new pain management clinic. read more

I HAD MADE A FORMAL COMPLAINT TO THE OFFICE MANAGER THE LAST VISIT I HAD BEFORE BEING LET GO WITHOUT EXPLANATION. I am writing this review to warn anyone who is referred to or chooses this site called Integrated pain associates management center to run the other way. I have been a chronic pain patient for 20 years. I had been going to Scott and White in Temple the whole time. I tried everything imaginable and thatv was suggested to ensure to help my excruciating back pain. I finally had surgery in 2004 after being treated like a drug seeker/faker etc. It just happened to fail. I continued to try everything to help me get through each day..my last resort wasnt easy. It was to have a pain pump implanted. Thatv was a very hard decision to make. Then S&W decided not to mess with them anymore this is how I wound up at IPA. It was a humiliating experience everytime (this last year) I had to go into this place I physically got sick. Thinking about the beyond rude front reception "professionals" having to have everyone hear my business and repeat every single visit, I had a paymentlo agreement and my payments were called into there. I actually had to miss a medication refill appointment because I was told by the rude, uncaring person I was dealing with, that in order to be seen I had to pay almost $200 to be seen. I tried to explain again I had a payment agreement and that I would withdraw without the medications. That didn't matter. I went home not knowing what to do. I called wanting to speak with Dr McDavid or a PA or nurse...I was told they were busy and then was told a nurse just said I'd have to pay that before I could be seen, whether I had withdrawal and excruciating pain or not. I had to go take out a loan (I'm on SSDI) so this was a large burden for me. I complained nicely several times to mostly whatever PA I saw that day and even today McDavid himself about it...no one cared. Money, money is their concern. I thought when I first went that I was actually being helped because I got injections, nerve burnings and blocks.....again now that I'm not there anymore it's all about the money. I had a back surgery on July 13, 2016 and my surgeon was then in charge of my narcotics meds .Well as of me supposed to be going for my appointment on the 21st the meds woukd then go back to being prescribed by McDavid.....I got a phone call the Thursday before telling me I was being sent elsewhere. No explanation. I was denied to speak with McDavid or.any medical personnel. I was due to have my pain pump refilled and my meds refilled on this appointment. I went through withdrawal from not having the two medications he was supposed to prescribe that of coarse I needed and my pump wasn't refilled. I called and wrote on the my chart type of thing multiple times and never got back a response. When i saw the new pain Dr. He Saud he had no idea why he referred me, he wasn't told that I had done anything wrong. All the paperwork he had from the pharmacy and the DEA didn't show any indication for having to be let go. So, now it's like I'm starting all over again. This Dr has no idea of my surgeries or the things I've tried. This has caused me so much physical and mental distress I have appointment with a counselor. The new pain Dr. Didn't agree with one of the medications I was taking and.woukdnt prescribe that with the narcotic I also was taking. So I wasn't given the narcotic and he cut the other med in half..I've been taking that for over 10 years because I found that's what works the best. So I withdrew again, though not as bad. All this stemming from IPA for reasons I still don't know. I can say that the staff at the new place were very nice, and helpful..no rolling their eyes or talking about patients like I heard and saw and experienced myself so many times at IPA. I also had some of the issues of over charging and being charged for things that I didn't have done. I never had any issues with McDavid until this. I still say run the opposite direction unless you want to be treated like an inconvenience, a drug seeker or just inhumane. I will be getting an advocate to get explanations that this place refused to give me. I've not been in this bad of pain and depression in years. I hope the money is worth it to this place CALLED IPA. I have been coming to IPA for about 6 months now. I have Several issues with pain, Spinal fusions surgery, bulging discs in the beck and back and arthritis in the back. Also neck pain and Pain from MS. I was referred here after the surgeon completed his 8 weeks of post-op meds. Not only have I been given oral medications for nerve pain, and Norco, but I am scheduled for blocks and ablation. I feel like I am on the right path to recovering and dealing with all of my pain issues. They make sure you are taking your medications as prescribed and some may see that as harassment (Some comments on here are crazy) but I feel like they are just making sure you are not going down the wrong path to possibly hurt your self or your progress. I have seen Dr. McDavid twice and he explained a lot to me and I enjoyed the conversation. I mostly see the NP's, and Dawn, the most frequently. She is knowledgeable and helpful. I also have managed to have a good rapport with the front office staff. All in all, this is a good place. I'd give 5 stars but wait times can be a bit long, but that's not a huge deal or uncommon with any Dr. office. read more
