I'm four months post-spinal fusion with ankylosing spondylosis, and he dismissed me like I was exaggerating. He also said they "can't do anything" until all my future surgeries are done. I told him it would have been helpful if someone would have called to let me know this. I had an Urgent care facility fax them the referral on Saturday, I called today to confirm they received it. They said their fax receipt is 24hrs because the fax is electronic. Really? Normally electronic is faster than a fax machine. Finally I asked for a Supervisor and she said their normal turn times for new Patients is appx. 3-4 weeks but she would confirm and call me back tomorrow. ( what's another day after waiting 9days when I am is so much psi. And can't walk). The Supervisor also told me they aren't answering their phones because they are all on the phones. I said ok but why can't they return their messages? The reception/people who answer the phones are unprofessional, no experience and lack concern for patients. I have never complained as I know I'm not the only person waiting. I would not use Neospine, if Dr Allen was not there. He is best foot Dr. Unfortunately he works out of this office. If they truly wanted to help people in pain they would return calls and at least act like they care about new patients. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. It seems important to share our own experiences with Pacific Medical Center in Puyallup because everyone in this office has been truly caring, kind and compassionate to my Grandmother. From the very first visit with my Grandmother's Primary Care Physician, Dr. Kim, we immediately realized this was personalized health care. Dr. Kim always spent the extra time listening to my Grandmother's concerns and determining what could be done to assist my Grandmother. When appropriate, Dr. Kim ordered additional tests and consistently followed up with the results. Besides providing excellent medical care, we appreciated Dr. Kim's personable demeanor. He always remembered to use each of our names when we visited the office and he patiently went through our usual list of questions that we brought to each of our visits. This level of patient care did not end with Dr. Kim. Dr. Kim's nurse was equally helpful and caring towards my Grandmother. She often spent extra time caring for my Grandmother during our visits, calling to answer questions for my Grandmother, following up with the doctor and scheduling appointments so my Grandmother could be seen for more urgent concerns sooner. Lastly, the front desk staff in this office remained patient when we came across challenges with my Grandmother's insurance plan. Additionally, they worked hard to patiently handle insurance billing questions, schedule follow up appointments and answer questions for my Grandmother. They were always professional and respectful which meant a lot to us. We really could not have asked for anything more from Pacific Medical Center in Puyallup. She let me know that she sees a lot of people and doesn't have the time to find out what my symptoms are from. She did not perform an exam or ask me hardly any questions. She couldn't have cared less and was extremely condescending. It's heartbreaking to be in so much pain and pay for that type of experience. I was in the room for under 5 minutes proscribed something that she changed several times and sent on my way to figure it out.
