I want to see the doctor, and we agree that surgery is going to be the last resort. I tried everything from physical therapy to chiropractor care to acupuncture, but nothing help. The pain was getting worse, and the only thing that kept me from jumping off of 10-story building is Gabapentin. The scheduled surgery fairly quickly and went through with it. Dr ball was with me all the way and explained the procedure and details even afterwards he expecting me what he did. Even when I called to ask questions before and after the surgery, they were answered right away with lots of details. His assistant Stacey was comforting and friendly. I hope you will never need his services, but if you do go nowhere else.

He answered all my questions completely and put me at ease. When I started having lower back disc problems I knew who to call. It's been 6 weeks since my surgery and to say that I feel night to day improvement is an understatement. Prior to surgery I could barely walk or stand for more than a few minutes. There was no refuge from the gnawing pain into my leg and foot. Trying to lay, sit, stand, sleep was miserable. I was developing muscle weakness. Now, 6 weeks post-op I feel like my "old self". I can walk for miles, do yard. work and lift my granddaughter without pain or anxiety that I will hurt myself. I know that I still have to be careful as I am still healing. Thanks to Dr. Ball and his team at Rose City Spine Surgery for accurately diagnosing and treating my problem. They worked together and put me on the road to recovery. Much respect and appreciation, Eric LeMay

Dr. Khemlani met me for my first appointment, accommodating a scheduling conflict to make sure I was seen in a timely fashion. Dr. Kehmlani went to bat for me with my insurance to ensure I got an approved prior authorization. He truly had to go the extra mile. Further, the next day I was seen for the actual procedure. I was honestly terrified. He took the time to stop and speak calmly with me, reassuring me all would be fine. He took time. He showed compassion. He was above-and-beyond professional... but more importantly, he was kind. Providers like Dr. Khemlani are FEW are FAR BETWEEN. Providers that truly express empathy and grace are a rare find any more and I'm quite lucky to have been referred to him. Even better, he has a ridiculously good sense of humor and made the rather unpleasant procedure 100% tolerable... painless one would say. I can't speak highly enough of Columbia Pain Management and Dr. Khemlani. He and his staff were all spectacular and I appreciate everyone for their great care. I can honestly say, I am looking forward to returning for my follow-up appointments. Thanks, Dr. Khemlani. You're the best!

I was sent to him by the VA due to chronic neck and back pain with x-rays and MRIs to back it up, as well as a couple of sports-related injuries, including a poorly-healed broken elbow and a complete rupture of the gluteus minimus and medius (having surgery on that in a couple of weeks). He only cared about the neck, didn't want to hear about anything else. Zero eye contact, no facial expressions, clipped and monotone. I asked a couple of questions but had to repeat myself because he ignored me. When he was done fiddling with his computer, he did have a plan; come back for some nerve blocking (or whatever it's called) which should work for 4 HOURS. Then keep a pain journal so they know if they're in the right area. So... nothing today? "No." Why not? "We need authorization from the VA. Could take days, could take weeks. Don't know." Can I get something for the pain in the meantime?? (No history of abuse or addiction, all injuries well documented.) "No. Nothing. It was nice to meet you." Then he walked out. The office staff were nice, but you couldn't pay me to go back to that place. From their parking lot, I reached out to the VA to find a different provider - which took about 10 minutes total. They were eager to take my statement and apologized for Oleg's behavior. Oh, and the authorization I needed to wait for? They had it the entire time. Everything he wanted to do was included in the referral that had already been approved.

This doctor did not look at my knee (CRPS) or my back (spinal stenosis, etc.). He did not do any type of exam. Usually, you are asked to walk, bend, flex, etc. This physician did nothing. He stayed across the exam room from me the whole time. During the visit, I was told that because of my insurance (which his office and several other of my medical team accept), none of the treatments they offer for my condition could be done. I went into a pain management office and left demoralized. The condition I have is nicknamed "the suicide disease" because of the amount of physical pain it causes. I really didn't believe in its helpfulness anymore. But recently I was required to attend some PT sessions in order to qualify for an MRI so I went to Renew... WOW! What a difference!! I have been suffering from low back pain and neck pain with very limited mobility. When I first walked in, I was first struck by what a comfortable atmosphere the place has. Next, I was given an extremely thorough exam, then an incredible treatment that included relaxing heat and amazing massage! I was introduced to some simple stretches and mobility exercises. Instead of going for just the required five visits, I have been going weekly for two months now and my neck mobility has nearly DOUBLED! I still have low back pain (I have a condition they can't fix), but the weekly treatment is a life saver. Honestly, I can't say enough about how fantastic Mike, Hannah, and Chris are. Truly a stellar experience each and every time. They all go above and beyond and are so skillful. I can't recommend them enough!
