I'm a convert of Sujata's incredible methodology…read more For 7+ years, I've been struggling with a chronic sports hernia brought on by continuing to play through (unknowingly) torn cartilage in both labrums (hips). I have tried everything possible to avoid surgery & continue to be an athlete. I've had multiple PRP (platelet-rich plasma) injections by an orthopedic surgeon. Years of seeing specialists -- Dr's of PT, OT, and chiro -- all specializing in athletic injuries. My results ranged from no improvement to temporary / maintenance. And that's just what I'd begun to think my best outcome was: slow decline, despite constant treatment until I eventually landed on the wrong end of a surgical scalpel. I was connected to Sujata through family and *full disclosure* was a complete skeptic; not of her training or intelligence, of course -- I knew Sujata would be fully capable of administering the best therapeutic medicine possible -- but rather I was just mistakenly convinced the "best possible" meant a 'barely detectable outcome of incremental and intermittent pain relief. And to say I was stunned by the results is an understatement. I had never before experienced immediate relief from the dull throbbing groin pain brought on by an irritated sports hernia (rectus abdominis tissue torn/detached from the pubic ligament). This is the kind of pain that wakes you up from a deep sleep. With all prior treatment, I would experience more irritation, followed by a gradual lessening of symptoms in days 3-5 after the session. But with Sujata, in 30 mins of treatment, my pain went from a 7 out of 10 to a complete zero. ZERO. Literally the moment I walked out of the room. Sujata's deep tissue handwork was intense - a lot of massage-like pressure, a lot of bending/stretching, a lot of being instructed to let my core muscles relax (requires concentration), and a lot of being reminded to trust her. Sujata's motions are confident, deliberate, and fast but certain. I'd never experienced treatment that was so rapid, bordering on aerobic exercise but not hectic or untrained-- rather, it's a bit like watching an master chef toss a pizza, but you're the dough. I felt sensation -- heat, stretch, pressure, but never actual pain. When she was finished with her work, it was like I'd never had an injury at all. ASTOUNDING. I can't recommend Sujata enough, as someone who has gone as far as getting the surgical consultation from the orthopedist... I was out of options. But don't even listen to my review, give yourself the chance to experience ONE treatment session and make your own choice after that. If you've got a core injury, ask yourself how much easier would your life be without this pain? What could you do - physically, athletically, etc... - that you're missing out on without a successful rehab? This is a no brainer.

When I first went to OPPT, I could not play my instrument for 5 minutes without pain in my left arm and elbow. My therapist told me this would not be a quick fix, and she was right. However, several months later, I can now play for two hours a day or more without pain or discomfort, so I am more than satisfied with this outcome. I worked mostly with Emily and occasionally with Paul, but really, from what I could see, all the therapists there were experienced and competent. But what impressed me the most (besides the skill of the staff) was what I guess what you would call the ambience of the place. If I could leave a -10 stars I would ! This place uses a nursing temp service, never do you meet a…read morenurse that is employed by this facility. This is a huge problem ! No chance of anyone taking the time to know your loved one. My Mother who was very lucid was told that if she continued to be a problem that no one would be there for her. I was there every chance and I mean daily making sure my mother could get care even the little bit they offered. She was nearly starved as I fought to get an IV to sustain her. They kept her sedated for three days as I fought them to knock it off ! She needed a bowl relief and they weren't helping enough so I did what I thought I'd never have to do and get it done. As mom n I turned her I was sickened by the size of a pancake bed sore ! I took a photo and in a rage showed everyone I came in contact with, the front desk lady actually started to weep when she saw it. I helped my mom and finally went home about 45 mins away and continued to get called by Mom because she couldn't reach her water or even her reading glasses to write things down or simply watch her tablet. This place was so awful and I fought with the insurance company to get her back to Tampa general, finally found a DR that would sign to have her back at tgh, I was sleeping on my mom's floor when a nurse came in and said we were finally going back to tgh ! So excited ! We got back there and mom was more aware then she'd been since this whole ordeal. Mom was 79 and still singing in church a few months before this started, now back a tgh the Dr that was to do her heart valve surgery visited with my mom after I had gone home for a few minutes sleep. Mom then called in tears that the DR said he wouldn't do the surgery because now my mom looked to weak. Let me tell you ! I blame kindred for this ! Rehab !?!? Really !?!! All they did was weaken her. I'll finally say , there's so much more to say but I've said enough to warn you. My mom left us shortly after because she wasn't allowed to have her surgery. God bless anyone who needs help , do not go to this place !!!!! Btw, this forum doesn't let me easily go back to correct spelling or words so please just try to figure what I meant. The office experience is nice, I personally like to go early in the morning to avoid longer waits that can happen later in the day. This is a very popular center and due to that it can back up a bit. I have come for a pulley injury due to rock climbing and months later because of trigger finger in a few of my fingers due to work. After one session and a follow up I am nearly pain free! I am also confident if it comes back Dr. Gargasz will know how to best treat it and I would trust him with injections or surgery without hesitation. Thank you for everything Advanced Hand!

Came here on a referral from the walk in clinic. I cut my finger over a month ago opening my Amazon…read morepackage. Yes, I'm clumsy and hubs said I'm not allowed to use knives anymore. My finger is healed but the knuckle is so sore and the walk in said I may have cut the cap and they may have to examine further. I met with Dr. Monica Mills and she was amazing. The office is very small and it was stuffy in there but staff was so nice and welcoming. I didn't sit long in the waiting area before being called back. Dr came in quickly and the visit didn't take long at all. She did some hand tests on me and explained the finger function and what she was looking for in plain terms I could understand! Loved her for that! My finger is ok but I have to give it 8 weeks for the full healing but it could take longer. Gave me instructions to massage it and bend and stretch it. And booked a follow up appointment. Highly recommend.
