The receptionist / owner was not very pleasant. There's a sign when you walk in that said, be kind, be calm and she was not that at all. I sat there for 45 minutes and she didn't even acknowledge that I was there. Didn't say hi. Not a word. I asked her what was going on because my appointment was at 1215 and by this time it was 1245. She acted like I was crazy and didn't understand who I was there to see. I was so confused and then she said I had an attitude... which I didn't. So I just left. Really weird. read more

Had an appointment for a colonic. Was supposed to receive paperwork to fill out prior, but never did receive it. By the day of the appointment, I had forgotten about the paperwork. I walked in at my appointment time. I sat in the waiting room for 5-7 minutes. I was asked about my paperwork by Shelly and I let her know I didn't have it because I never received it. Her demeanor changed from that moment forward. She had a very "put out" attitude and handed me paperwork on a clipboard to fill out. Ok...apparently, she's never forgotten about paperwork in her lifetime! She took me to the colonic room to fill out papers. She mentions the colonic may be a bit shorter than usual because there is someone right after me, but it should be fine. There were 6 pages of information to fill out with gobs of check boxes regarding body symptoms, much of it redundant in areas and definitely NOT all related to the colonic. It appeared I was filling out info regarding every piece of my health for the wellness center. If I wasn't, I'm utterly clueless as to why that much info would be needed. Seriously, I've filled out less paperwork before a colonoscopy! After 13 minutes of filling out paperwork and having a quarter page left, she tells me I'm only going to have a 15 minute colonic, so I need to reschedule. Im a bit curious about that because I was told the colonic was 45 minutes to an hour. The whole experience left me with a bad vibe and feeling very uncomfortable. Shelly's unprofessional bed side manner was rude (especially for something as delicate as a colonic) and I won't be returning. For the sake of others, I can hope it was just a bad day. Perhaps, having people fill the paperwork out through an online platform and submitting to you ahead of time and checking in with a call the day before as a "reminder to fill out or we'll need to cancel your appt" would be more beneficial than mistreating new clients because they never received paperwork and then forgot about it. read more

I have been doing colon hydrotherapy for almost 2 years. It has been life changing. I have been a regular at IWC doing colon hydrotherapy for 1 year now. I have tried both open and closed systems I must say that open system is overall a superior experience. I have tried both Libbe and Angel of water and both systems are great. I did a closed system once and I found it inferior in every way. Shelley is absolutely wonderful and in the past year has done many improvements in the room to make the environment better. The office has an Angel of water which is an amazing system. Clean environment is on the top of my list and the office, the room, and the bathroom are always very clean. Shelley provides a warm pack (if needed), a massager (if needed) which are the things that are helpful to improve the therapy outcome and overall experience. Shelley is a wealth of knowledge in her specialty, she is beyond caring and provides a superior customer service.I appreciate appointment time flexibility. I also find the appointment reminders sweet and helpful. I have visited many locations in different cities and can assure this is the right place for an outstanding colon hydrotherapy session/experience. I would suggest to have at least 3 sessions close together followed with additional few and regular sessions for best outcomes. For some people, colon hydrotherapy is helpful in weight loss. Especially with frequent/regular sessions. I have met several individuals with amazing success stories. I've been going to Integrative Wellness Center for my annual breast exam for over 5 years now. I've been so pleased with the professionalism and personalized care I've received. The reports are thorough and come with explanations to help me understand the results. If I ever have a question or need further details, I call Shelley and she kindly and patiently spends time with me to ensure I understand before hanging up. I chose to do thermography instead of a mammogram when I found out my local radiology department upgraded their mammogram machines to slice imaging. In other words, a ct scan. I would much rather drive a half hour to see Shelley than expose myself to unnecessary radiation. read more

My review for Integrative Wellness Center is based solely upon my over-the-phone experience with the employees. I had called previously to get the costs for an initial visit and the followup visits (there are two different options) and I wrote those prices down, but after reading a negative review re: them hiding costs and up-charging, I called back to confirm that my costs were correct. The person that I spoke with was very short with me. I mentioned the negative review that I was referring to and she told me that "any adult should know that anyone can write anything on the internet". I was offended by this comment... she was snippy and that was a HUGE turn-off for me. At this point I don't really know what to think about this company. read more

I went in for a 30min. Infrared sauna session - Integrative Wellness Center may be good for other things but customer service isn't one of them. OVERALL EXPERIENCE: Hmm... not such a good experience. Tips for the infrared sauna session: 1. Don't come here, but if you do... 2. Bring slippers for the shower 3. The drinking water is warm so bring your own water to drink I don't know if they're understaffed but I waited at the front 15minutes, rang the bell for assistance and then had to call the company phone to get someone to come up to the front to help me. The lady that came to help me seemed flustered and forgot that I had scheduled a 12:30 appointment. It was such an awkward experience. I will continue to do the infrared sauna because I am amazed at the detoxifying abilities but will do so somewhere else. I am very impressed with Shelley and the Integrative Wellness Center! The Water Angel colon hydrotherapy unit is definitely above any other protocol I have used. Before finding Integrative Wellness Center with the Open therapy system I had been feeling tired and lacked motivation. I didn't want to get up or go to the gym. I was tired all the time and basically felt sluggish. I was unable to lose weight and felt ravenous when hungry. I had severe cravings for sugar and caffeine to keep going. When it was time to eat I literally inhaled my food because I felt SO hungry and after eating I was sometimes so tired I needed to lie down. I went to the doctor who said my lack of motivation was a similar complaint from her patients in my age range (50's) and yada yada yada it's hormones etc. Not to worry etc. etc. Since my colon therapy at IWC my vitality has returned. (I have had 3 so far) I do not have any of the symptoms listed above. I feel motivated. I am excited to get up in the morning and go to the gym and I have lost 6lbs. I have been doing colon hydrotherapy for years now so I can say from experience that the therapy I received at IWC was more effective than any before. I have used the closed system and the open system therapy. I HIGHLY recommend the open system of which I will ONLY use and this one at IWC is the best system of all!! I always go to Wellness Centers staffed with professional doctors, nurses and practitioners all of whom have been helpful. All being said Shelley has had the most helpful information for me of all. Shelley also made sure I had the best most effective hydration before the session ended. It was much more than being in a facility that was about timing the sessions. it was about making sure I was having the most effective session that met my needs. My rating is based on my first and last phone call to this business.The woman who answered the phone was impatient and seemingly indignant. Initially, I called to ask a few questions about Colonic Therapy. After putting me on hold for 11 minutes. {I understand if you have people in front of you}...but then, She seemed unable to explain the process, instead referring me to their website and a video after asking me rudely "If I understood gravity?" I was calling to ask the difference between open and closed systems and how in an open system the water was able to actually get all the way up the bowel? She couldn't be bothered. I will contrast this with my experience of calling Serenity Health Spa in Elk Grove. Sandy took my call and spent 7 minutes explaining the process in detail. Because of her professionalism and patience with my questions, Thus, I booked my appt. with Serenity Health Spa. I will not patronize a business where the proprietors are either too busy or self-important to treat potential clients as valued customers. read more

I did thyroid & breast thermography. Its a good thing to do ESP considering most regular doctors aren't preventative. It is a all natural route if you ever have concerns about your health or symptoms you can't pinpoint. Kinda gives you red flags to pay attention to. I prepaid 10 sessions for the infrared sauna treatment and only used 4. I was never told that I had to use all 10 sessions within 2 years or they will expire. When I called them to make my next appointment, they couldn't find me in their computer system. (They only keep info up to 2 years). I gave them my receipt/invoice number in hopes that they can find me in their system. After waiting for a month, leaving 3 messages and an email, they finally got back to me. They apologized and said they did some research and coulnt find any info. Since they have no idea how many sauna sessions I have left, they couldn't do anything for me. Talk about poor customer service!! I hope this doesn't happen to anyone!!! You go to places like this to improve the quality of your life and as a result, it ends up causing more stress and not to mention $100 down the drain!!! Very frustrating!!! read more

Integrative Wellness is a wonderful healing center. I have had breast and thyroid thermography done here each year. It is a wonderful alternative or complement to mammograms. You can really see by the color photos what is going on inside you by the changes in the colors (normal colors are green and blue, warmer to hot colors are yellow, orange, and red). Then you can make the changes needed with your diet or hormone creams to get yourself balanced and healthy. They also have several other services including saliva testing which is an alternative to blood tests. The test gives you a lot of information on your blood sugar, adrenals, hormones, etc. Shelley Lesar is very helpful and knowledgeable with health and nutrition. She really cares about your health and wants to help you get healthy. read more

Two appointments were schedule for today. One at 9:00 a.m. for LED Lymphatic, and one at 10:30 for a Wellness Exam. At 8:58 a.m. I was called and informed that Shelly was out on an emergency, and would not be back until my second appointment time, and I would have to reschedule my first appointment. The 1 hour drive to the appointment was already over at that point, so I decided to stop by and confirm when Shelly would return. I was told she would be back for my 10:30a.m. appointment, and asked if I should come back early just in case she was back early. I was then told that she would not be back early, as she had a 9:30a.m. appointment she had to go to.... I said ok and proceeded to waste around 1 hour at shops in the area. Just as I was ready to drive back over to make my 10:30 appointment I was called and told Shelly was not going to be back.... The Staff here turned a 2hour delay, into a 3 -3-1/2 hour delay, and proceeded to ask me if I would like to reschedule.... I had skipped going out of town for this consult due to the availability being very limited, and scheduled out around 5 weeks from the day I called in. I understand some delays, or emergencies, and I expect to see another response like "we were not all on point that day due to ......, sorry" as was mentioned on another review. If you want to stay in business and help people, have some backup options better than calling someone 2 minutes before an appointment to cancel on them, and then cancel again after they hang out for over an hour to go to their 2nd scheduled appointment. If time is valuable to you, this may not be the Wellness Center for you. read more

Quiet, clean, and private. I was not sure about privacy and it was fine. I did look into the Groupon place and found it to be not as "clean". Checked out the techs going over the process after the last review. The two that helped me had credentials so I was satisfied. Not sure if these reviews actually work that well- I thought after reading the other reviews and mentioning it to the owner, that they deserved a shout out from someone having a good experience. This place is amazing. I get my breast thermography here in lieu of traditional mammography which involves radiation. I have also had two colonics. Now I am drinking dandelion tea instead of coffee. Every time I come here, I learn something new about how to improve my health. The colonic changed my perception of eating: I was already a healthy eater but it made me think about my gut health and the overall flow of my body. Not only was I disappointed with the look of the place but I was super unhappy with their customer service. I called over the weekend and someone picked up and said she didn't know anything and that she jusT works there?? So I brushed that off even though I thought it was weird that someone was answering the phones that didn't work there. After they called me back on Monday I was able to schedule an appointment for Wednesday and was looking forward to the colon hydrotherapy. I took the day off work and drove an hour to Roseville for them to say their sewer lines were broke and they couldn't do it. They tried to say they called but I received no call except the one on Monday to schedule the appointment. Their customer service was very dry and I won't be going here again. Whoever made their website did a great job of selling the customer but as soon as you get there the person at the front desk just seems like she doesn't know what she's doing there. read more
