Our Pastor is humble, honest, and speaks the message with a truth and grace that I appreciate more than anyone will know. Each Sunday's message has been inspiring, challenging, hopeful, thoughtful, and Truth. My daughter loves AWANA on Wednesday night while I go to the adult Bible study that is offered at the same time. The Bible Study leader is amazing. I have learned so much, more importantly I have also been able to apply the things I have learned there to my every day life. My son loves the many opportunities to volunteer and serve God. And my husband and I appreciate that people of all ages and stages of life have a place in this church, support of a church family, and opportunities to serve.

We were granted 11th hour permission to marry in the church. Pastor Martinez was notified by me of this. He did not express being annoyed at all. To the contrary. He was gracious. He wished us happiness in our marriage. I can say that he is a decent and pious man. I would recommend him to officiate over the marriage of anyone. He earned my respect by being so nice to us throughout the process.

I have been going to the same church ever since I could remember going to church…read more When I moved to San Diego I didn't go to church because I am not a fan of trying new churches. A really good friend of mine, whose opinion I value, suggested that I visit TDWC and I am so glad I did! This place is a medium size church and the people who attend are of all ages, mostly african american. The have a good choir and each time I was there the pastor delivered his own sermon. I continued to visit this church because it reminded me of my church home in Los Angeles. I could really feel the annointing. Usually when you go to church it seems like they are begging for money but I did not get that vibe when I went here. In fact, one Sunday after the offering was taken the pastor told those in the congregation who had past due bills to raise their hand. Maybe 20-30 people raised their hands and he told them that the church would pay the bill if they brought the proof to the church on Monday!!!!! I was totallly amazed. This speaks V O L U M E S about the pastor here and the type of ministry that he has. After church, all first time visitors get to meet the pastor and his wife in a small intimate setting with snacks! I really like this place..definitely make time to visit!

The four occasions were first a most poignant and spiritual HOMEGOING Celebration (sermon), then a regular church service honoring a Black History Month dinner, then attending a phenomenal concert featuring a dynamic gospel group called the 'Spiritualairs' from Chicago, and most recently another HOMEGOING Celebration of a friend. Pastor Troy Owen's is an anointed servant and also a very good vocalist that the Lord has chosen to lead this beautiful, caring, compassionate, giving and talented group of people! The church is most definitely God Inspired, the preaching is relevant, personal and Biblically sound!
