I called just about every shop in the area that works on diesel and all of them told me that they didn't want to work on it, a few people even laughed at me, said "no thanks" and hung up on me. Dave was very kind and helpful on the phone and said that if I could get it to their shop they'd look at it first thing in the morning. We managed to limp the bus over to the shop. Dave was still there when we arrived (it was evening) and he was kind enough to give us a ride to our motel. Aaron had the bus fixed by noon the next day. We had another complication as we drove another 30 miles up the road, and Aaron arrived as quickly as he could and jumped through hoops to get us back on the road. After that last hiccup, we made it back to CT safe and sound and the bus drove wonderfully. I've never had such a pleasant experience with a mechanic shop. These folks know what they're doing and they care. Dave even called us after we left to wish us safe travels. The competence and the kindness were truly overwhelming. It's one of those experiences that makes you feel better about humanity.

I had to reach out multiple times after they used excuses and I was about to take them to small claims court until it was finally replaced May 2026. They also had the audacity to try and charge me for the installation after 9 months. Low and behold there was an issue with the fuel pump that he installed and was leaking. I notified them that I got half a lap around the yard before it shut off and is leaking from the new part he added. He continued to give me the run around about getting someone to come look at it. I had to pay another mechanic to come fix it properly because I was done dealing with them.

We had limited options, and Mike's Kars had good review, and he was a mile from our hotel... so... we took a chance. Pros: Seemed to do adequate work, we didn't have any issues with the car. They came and picked us up CONS: OMG where do I start. This guy ripped us off at every opportunity. 1. I had just purchased NEW bigger off-road tires and we had about 2000 miles on them. Mike decides it's time for my 41k service, and that included a TIRE ROTATION! He KNEW they were new tires. We wer traveling and exhausted and had exactly one day to get the oil changed before heading to our next destination, and extended our hotel to get this done, so I didn't THINK about it but he CHARGED ME $200 TO ROTATE BRAND NEW TIRES! 2. He told me my battery needed replacing, probably the original one, blah blah. I have no idea if it really needed it or not, but he used a scare tactic. I was traveling with my daughter and he mentioned "What if it doesn't start and you are in the middle of no where." I went ahead with the battery but he charged me a WHOPPING $400 FOR IT!! I called my dealer when I got home today and he told me a battery for that Jeep costs $100!! And that I got ripped off once again. 3. He also told me that my radiator fluid was turning acidic and needed flushing. ANOTHER WHOPPING $200+ for that. I asked my dealer who looked at the inspection report for my Certified Pre-Owned Jeep and the chemical report when sold to me was no where near what this guy was telling me. 4. He also said there was a leaky seal on one of the ball bearings and they "discovered" it when the rotated the tires. My dealer said a leaky seal could definitely have waited. 5. Finally, the oil change we came IN for. Instead of giving me Full Synthetic oil which everywhere else was $48, he gave me some kind of blend and charged me another $200 or so. When I got out of there he had stripped us of $1300. Two girls on a road trip. He saw us coming a MILE away and took advantage at every turn. My dealer said all of that would have been taken care of at ANY dealership and that this guy charged me about 4X what it would have cost and of course, the leaky seal and radiator flush, if it was really needed, would have been NO charge. So. They may do ok work, and they may be convenient. But they will take advantage, overcharge, and rip you off every chance you give them. I do NOT recommend these people at all and am MORTIFIED that they did this, and charged over $1300 for what should have cost us around $150.

I left D&J a voicemail at 4:30 on a Friday night to get a second opinion. He called me back within 15 minutes and explained all of my options better than the other shop and the car insurance company combined. Then, on Monday, once I had seen the car and taken pictures, he gave me a $100 solution to what the other company wanted $3300 for (and should have seen in the first estimate) and said another piece they claimed needed to be fixed was structurally sound. He offered to work with me to get secondhand parts to fit within my budget if I chose to salvage the car or drop the insurance claim- and I never paid him a dime for his services! I wish I would have taken our car to D&J instead of going through insurance and the other company. They are honest, communicative and truly have the customer's best interests in mind!

I used New Bill's Autobody to perform a Maryland Safety Inspection on my vehicle. Sadly, I was not…read moreimpressed with their service, and this is not due to the fact that my car failed the first round of inspection. It is because I was told and then confirmed that I had EITHER 1,000 miles OR 30 days to fix my car and have it reinspected. However, upon my return to DJ's I was told the complete opposite by the same person. Instead of being within the 1,000 mile OR 30 day limit, one actually needed to be between within 1,000 miles AND within 30 days. As a result, I am now expected to take off more time from work to wait the obligatory two hours to have my car reinspected after I was assured that I did not have to follow both rules in order to be within the grace period after a failed inspection. But what really broke the straw was that the certified mechanic started working on another vehicle and I had to wait until he finished even though I had an appointment for that time. I cannot speak to their handiwork when it comes to repairs, but I can say, based off of my own experience, that New Bill's cannot effectively speak to their clients, and have poor customer service. And in the end they have caused a lot of wasted time and money in the long run.

Our truck would start and run, the warning came on, the truck didn't lose power but the pedal was not giving any power to the engine to make it go. I googled mobile repair and found Forthright. I called, left a message and Elijah called me back. He is one of the owners. Very nice guy. I told him the issue and I was concerned because they are located in Newburg and it's a 40 minute drive to Chambersburg, the time was 3:00 p.m. on a Saturday AND we are at a campground. Elijah assured me that he could do it that day. He told me their process, sent a very reasonable quote and said the quote is just what the total could be but it could be less depending on what actually gets done. I was good with it. Elijah made the drive and then it started raining. I thought that I was going to get a call saying that he would come when it's not raining...NOPE! He showed up and worked in the pouring down rain. He didn't have to replace all the sensors, only 1, and the total was less than $200. He said they are 24 hours, rain or shine. My family is grateful and thankful to Elijah that we were able to go home to Maryland on Sunday. I would absolutely recommend Forthright Mobile Repair.
