I feel that my care plan is exactly right for me, and it better be, since I was a partner in creating it. It's refreshing to have a doctor and her staff that doesn't just want to give me more pills to take, but count on me to do what I have to do to be well. Should have listened to the other review since I did read it before going. Decided to try out for…read moremyself and it turned out to be a huge mistake. I was greeted by one of the staff's dog running around the entire office and waiting room. Didn't seem very sanitary to me considering this was a doctor's office. I had to introduce myself to Dr. He at the front desk my second visit since she never had the decency to meet me the two different times I was there as a new patient. I was really upset when Dr. He submitted my routine physical incorrectly to my insurance. The insurance company assured she was in network and covered the cost of the routine physical she just needed to submit the proper coding. I called at least three times to Dr He's office to get this fixed. Each time I was told that it would be taken care of. When I would call back to follow up I would find nothing was done and would get an excuse why nothing had been done. Each time there was a new excuse. Basically I was lied to so I would get off the phone and they had no intentions of helping me. One of the times Dr. He got on the phone and started yelling at me about how I don't understand my insurance plan. I eventually drove back to the office and handed Dr. He the phone to speak with my insurance company. They would not tell me what was discussed but did say one of the codes submitted was for a person between the ages of 40-72. I am 33. Maybe Dr. He would know how old I am if she actually took interest and met with me. In the end it sounded as though if she were to resubmit the proper coding then she would get in trouble for fraud since everything had already been processed. As a result, she would not go through with the proper coding in order to cover herself. Run the other way if you are considering this physician. Dr. He is a fraud and will process your visits incorrectly leaving you in a black hole with your insurance companies and her office staff.

At the time, I had made over 100 phone calls looking for therapists. However, she phoned me back and said she knew of someone and referred me to another therapist. She spoke highly of him, saying she refers her clients to him all the time. I went to him and he didn't just have room on his schedule...he didn't seem to have any other clients, or not very many. This was a red flag, among other red flags including his repeatedly calling me "Honey." He seemed completely incompetent to treat what was bothering me (eating disorder) and I wondered why Ms Wolfe had heaped so much praise on him, except perhaps they may have been pals of sorts. During my third session with this man, he asked me out on a date. I was terrified! I left the office, not knowing what to do! I also felt devastated that such a thing would happen to me. Of course, I did not accept the date. Who was this man? I waited two days, then, phoned him and told him I didn't want to see him anymore. His last words to me were, "I love you." I was shocked and in a few other ways, saddened. I knew in my heart I needed to report him. But where? I phoned back Ms Wolfe. I felt that she should know that this other therapist that she had referred me to was not only unethical, but he had broken the law in a really, really bad way. Her response? Sadly, very typical. She first said, "Maybe you weren't a good match." I continued to tell Ms. Wolfe that what he had done was illegal. Then she said, rather lamely, "You just weren't ready for his energy therapy." I believe Ms. Wolfe should have encouraged me to go to the police. She should have supported me and at least been as shocked as I was. Instead, she defended what was completely illegal behavior on the part of a colleague. I am saddened that therapists refuse to acknowledge the mistakes and misdeeds of other therapists, and instead, they blame the victim. This runs rampant in the profession; it's disgusting, and it needs to change. Based on this, I would not recommend her to anyone.

The methadone was just my mrdication it was on me to do the rest of the psychological work to gain tools on how to even tie my shoes with out dope. They gave me my counselor, cara, who i cant even possible say enough about besides she is the most competent substance abuse counselor ive ever met. They do not use addicts as any treatment staff which i didnt know how id feel taking advice on how to do the hardest thing in the world (detox of heoin) when they havent been in my shoes. I appreciate the fact that they are incredibly educated and knowledgeable group of people running this program. Its nice to not have counselors that arent rough around the edges like a lot of addicts tend to be due to what we have been through, its almost a survival skill. I just cant say enough, they make sure your always comfortable on your dose and you can go up or down at any time youd like once your on a stable dose. They start you at 40 and the average dose is 100- 110. If your even slightly looking into methadone please try north charles before your at somewhere in boston and your counselor will have so many clients she/he wont ever be there for you as much as they should. 617 661 5700 call and ask for admission to the program. I have been a client at the North Charles Clinic for over a year.The clinic while saving my life by…read moregiving me methadone is sorely lacking in administrative leadership and direction.While they have a policy that everyone is treated the same it is policy in name only.The counselers are mostly children who have no idea on how to run a group and or private meeting.I was present at one group meeting when a client went on a psychotic break in our meeting and the counseler who is supposed to be the first to know was the LAST person to realize and then to compound the problem the nurse let this person BACK into our room,after he had already threatened another client in our group.Then to put a cherry on top, when our meeting was over I go outside and...there HE is.They basically just pushed him out the door..I guess Director Dan felt safer with him outside yet what would have happened if someone said something to this person or someone walking by like a child said or did something,this person was not in his right mind,ANYTHING could of occurred.Why could he not have waited INSIDE until his ride got there?? I felt bad for this person and brought him down off the ledge myself with something called kindness which is NOT in my client description,but it IS in my description as a person..Anytime there is a problem at North Charles,management blames the State because they are a so called non-profit and are always waiting to get permission from the State.Very convenient to have a boogie man,would you not agree?? North Charles's mantra is they treat EVERYBODY the same yet reality is much different..As a client at North Charles I go to Cambridge hospital to get my daily dose of methadone.In other words I see those people EVERY DAY.Yet when it comes to getting doses to take home those people who I see everyday have ZERO input into THAT decision.It is decided by people who I have NEVER MET.Smart right?? Good management,right?? The left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing.So I, who have never ever done any drug since I entered the program get denied take home doses because of a missed meeting or some other administrative infraction that they deem important by people who do NOT know me or what I am about or what I look or feel like.Yet if we are all the same how can I have ONE submission for the right to get a take home dose in the same amount of time another person gets 5 take homes??? I was allowed to see some so called boss called Charlie about my problem.Charlie listened to me intently and asked me a few questions about my problem.Since then..crickets..No yes or no just silence which is par for the course there.It is SO obvious to me how disillusioned the staff is in these so-called upper management drones.Director Dan and this man Charlie seem to care about one thing,cashing their checks.There is no rhyme or reason to their clinic.During snowstorms its ALWAYS a shitstorm because they are awaiting word from the State,while the employees at the hospital just shake their heads and laugh at this nonsense.Computers have been down for the last 2 days,how is that possible in this day and age?? The answer from North Charles will be its NOT our fault we only rent that space..Just like everything else,its NOT their fault.Yet when I make a mistake it ALWAYS is my fault and I am made to suffer the consequences.Here is the kicker..During the snowstorm when they gave me a take home dose I looked on the bottle and it said 54 milligrams..I have NEVER EVER asked for more than 45 milligrams.When I asked my counseler she went to my record and could NOT tell me why.The answer was oh well someone made a mistake.Yes they did.But nothing happens.I get NO answers from management as to why this happened..Maybe they will blame the State,ha ha ha.So I cannot live up to their image of what an addict is supposed to do to get take homes and I do not want to or have to.Instead I am going down on my dose so I can get away from these idiots.I have never seen so much incompetence in my life and it all flows from the TOP.I have seen Director Dan look askance at clients as if HE is too good to deal with them.Well Danny boy look in the mirror because THAT is where the problem is.While I have been in treatment an addict died who was being treated there in a suicide.But there were no meetings about it,no grief counselers for people it may have affected that knew her,nothing.I guess the State would not like it.My counseler made it perfectly clear to me when she said ,Charlie you are NOT a person to them,you are a number!! Truer words were never spoken.North Charles is a good place to start your recovery,very good as long as you shut off your brain and ask NO questions,beacuse the answer is always the same,its the State's fault.With ALL that said I see a post from a woman who lives close to the clinic and in the year plus I have been there no addict has been on a nod or left a needle around or anything like that..THAT IS BULLSHIT..Plain and simple.

A family member went here and was sold on the saint TMS where they zap your brain 10 times a day…read morefor 5 days in a row. I0 days after the treatment he started having SEVERE side effects, tinnitus, one sided weakness, severe depression, inability to drive or exercise. He was told by the clinic it was "normal" and called a "dip". His dip never faded. The clinic ordered an MRI which shows only structural damage to appease him. He kept asking for help but no one believed or listened to him. He took his own life because of the callousness of the people who work there and Dr Brennan who refused to talk to me. Instead, he had his lawyer contact me. What does that tell you?? Look up the inventor of TMS and you will find that he also took his own life. Please do not go to this clinic or see this doctor. No real compassion, just want tens of thousands of dollars in cash from you. They lie about it being safe. It's not. I just buried him...

Maybe that's just me.
