I agree with other reviews here. Before I sent my child, I thought they were over critical, but it honestly was the exact experience we had. We told the director that our child hadn't really been socialized before or in a structured school setting and was speech delayed and were assured that this would be fine and nothing to worry about. Even their website says: "Individual attention is paid to each student. Our teachers believe in giving each child personalized attention in a nurturing environment." We even asked at the start the likelihood of being kicked out to do our child's progress/developmental issues and were told that the only way he would get kicked out is if we as parents did something super unruly to warrant removal of our child. Fast forward about 6 months when they "invited him not to return" the next month with only 3 days heads up because he required "too much individual attention". Considering both parents have full time jobs, this was definitely a big frustration and very inconsiderate (not to mention super unfortunate considering the pocketed about half our deposit). I also found the teachers/admins weren't super communicative regarding the true status of our child. Had we known they were thinking of not allowing us to continue to take our child here, we could have made other arrangements or at least been not caught off guard. The teachers weren't super nice (I literally never smiles when we dropped him off). But that may have just been because my child was "too difficult." I also found the overall vibe somewhat unprofessional. The director/principal often solicited money for fundraisers for her child from parents of children at the school, which seems somewhat improper with the expectation that the person that holds power to keep your child in care is "asking" for help with her child's fundraiser. Overall, I really liked the concept of exercise, structured education, etc. I just think for someplace that made all these promises, they could have done a bit more to either follow through or set expectations to start. I'd like to not give them a star at all. I signed my 5 year old for swim lessons and we lasted a month. This place does not have friendly swim instructors. They seem to be burnt out or just zero patience for a child who clearly can't swim. Our last experience the instructor yanked my child off the wall to forcibly make them dunk their head. When my child came out, the instructor quickly was blaming her for not wanting to participate towards the end of the class. Obviously, she just made her feel unsafe. I quickly told her she was in the wrong and should have moved on to another child. I did not witness them making it a fun experience at all. We switched schools immediately. ZERO stars for their preschool.. cannot comment on their individual classes. DO NOT send your kids to pre school here. Unprofessional staff. The only thing they have going for themselves is their facility. The teaching philosophy is - all work with no play. Your kids will go to swim class here but you will never know what they have learned because that is never properly communicated. Our kid would come home with batches but no note from the teacher why he got the batch. Again, swimming classes another check box item for this school. Just because they have a pool. A 3/4 year old kid is expected to walk into the class early in the morning and first thing pick up a pencil to start tracing their name. And, thats all good but the issue is- some kids are not ready and need extra assistance, which is not provided. Teachers either don't have don't have time to talk to you or will communicate very generally via their app. If you want to know more, or have issues and go up to talk to them they get upset or feel threatened. And, that makes you into the villain! The worst school, the environment is made to be competitive for very young kids too. The kid who does all his or her work during the week and will named "top student" in the class. Mind you, this was in class of 3 and 4 year old. Do we really need the environment to be competitive? Shouldn't the focus be on developing the kid's individuality, perhaps even communication skills or self expression especially at that young age. Teachers here do not try to understand the kids need. They have their own agenda. The teachers do a great job at making the parents feel like they are bad people/parents, if questions or explanations are asked. Management is ONLY supportive of their staff which is good thing for the teachers but not for the parents/students. read more

They let my daughter leave the building and she was standing outside for nearly an hour by herself. She's only 8. She had 2 classes today and instead of attending her second class, she walked outside. When I pulled up she was just standing there outside crying, for nearly an hour, and nobody did anything. While I know plenty of families who have had kids attend classes, camps and birthday parties here, my child's experience was far from great at this facility. I signed my child up for a beginners tumbling class for fun based on the recommendation of the front office staff. While this class had been advertised for beginners, it was anything but! After the second class I observed the instructor ignoring my daughter who needed assistance with the exercises and allowed other classmates to push ahead of her in line. I notified the office of what was taking place in class and was told I should speak directly to the class instructor about my concerns as they wanted to make the experience enjoyable. I managed to speak to the instructor before the start of the next class who said he would keep an eye on my child and would assist/spot her on the equipment as needed. Unfortunately this never happened. I had to practically force my child to attend the remaining classes even though she was clearly not being encouraged or helped by staff members in the class. Clearly, the instructor wasn't interested in helping students who had no prior experience and seemed to be more focused on the kids who were more advanced with their skills. This facility does have state of the art equipment but lacks so much in the office and teaching staff making it difficult for me to recommend this place to others. My child still has bad memories of this place to this day. read more

My two daughters do cheer at Interactive; THEY LOVE IT!!!!! Definitely recommend it. Coaches are nice but also hard enough that girls get stuff done and have really great routines. We currently attend 1night a week for gymnastics. The facility is physically a nice place. It has exceptional equipment, a nice indoor track for parents to utilize during children's classes, and a nice area for parents to sit if they choose not to use the track. BUT. As others have indicated, the management and policies have lots of room for improvement. The procedures for waitlists is unclear and makes one wonder if it isn't just a "thing" they have to appease clients. We have been at the top of the waitlist for a certain class for 4 months! When I've called to ask about it, I've been told I was next on the list, but there is no estimate of a date for a spot, just a redirected "offer" for the class on other nights. No. If I wanted the other nights I would have signed up for one in the first place, not chosen the ONLY night with "full" printed next to it! Our schedule is only open that night. Additionally, the facility could use a good deep clean. My child does enjoy the gymnastics class and is learning. read more

The food they serve is very questionable. Maybe fresh fruit once or twice a week, mostly frozen or out of a can. I also doubt it is possible that they could use any more processed food, just what my growing child needs processed food. Apples to not come out of a bag, these poor children. I recently relocated to Indy. I chose InterActive because it is amazing. The facility is beautiful, the staff & directors are fantastic and I believe in a strong, caring, positive environment for children & clientele. InterActive has so much to offer- an academic preschool, swimming, dance, cheer, karate, tumbling, Warrior classes and competitive and non-competitive gymnastics for boys and girls. We've been taking our daughter here for several weeks now and she loves it. She's only 20 months but fits in to the toddler class like a glove. She is getting so good at everything. It makes you proud as a parent to see your child enjoy something this much. The staff is extremely nice and very helpful. I can see us being here for a long time to come! read more

We visited here for the first time for a classmate's birthday party. and OH SO FUN! Parents can stay or go. If you stay, you can view from a balcony waiting area. While the kids are on the gymnastic floor doing a variety of age appropriate activities! And at the end, getting to jump into the big pit (favorite part). Then up to the birthday room next to the parent balcony for pizza and cupcakes and then some chintzy toys for fun. Great time, and lots of activity! I recommend!! read more

This review pertains to birthday parties. Credit should be given to the staff that works the party because they are great. Management, however, is a different story. Poor communication about bizarre policies coupled with a couldn't care less attitude is what you can expect. If apologizing to an unhappy customer is so extremely difficult you should either not be in management or should receive additional training. We decided to take our daughter (4 years old) here for gymnastics and swim classes after it was recommended by friends, and had her birthday party here too. We absolutely love this place. She started in the baby tumbling class and has worked her way up several levels. The gymnastics classes are action-packed. They don't sit around; the kids actually get to use the equipment for the duration of the class. Our daughter sleeps like the dead after gymnastics! The swim classes are equally fantastic. We started our daughter here after she was severely traumatized at Goldfish Swim School. After a few months they were able to teach her to actually enjoy swimming and putting her head under water. Lastly, we had a gymnastics birthday party here, which was a blast. Reasonable price, they were very helpful with planning, and the instructors were great. We recommend to anyone. read more

Good program and teachers... Admittedly so my toddler is a handful. We stopped because we felt as though the teachers are more concerned and focused on the kids that show promise than those that are struggling. :-( pity because we liked the program, but she didn't focus (she's two) enough to hold her instructors attention. read more
