Touring the West Coast on a Greyhound was really an experience and I got to see a lot, but I would never do it again. This bus station on 7th Avenue is located right in the centre of town, and I came in on the line from Portland with a stop in Centralia. This is just a tiny little Greyhound station but it's nice that it's here, that's for sure. It actually looks like a little store in the middle of town, but it's actually the Greyhound bus station. The transit center itself is slightly larger but not that much more impressive, still cute though. Very cute indeed, and looks like something straight out of 1953 or something. And they also have the cool overhanging thing where the buses drive through, like a lot of stations do in this part of the world. One of my favourites in the country then.

I always wondered where DMV clerks went to die and now I know. They come to roost at the customer…read moreservice center at this bus terminal. And I use the term "customer service" advisedly. The cat at the desk did an amazing job of totally ignoring me for 20 minutes (literally) while talking to some bozo on the phone. No telling when the conversation started but in 20 minutes I learned more than I ever wanted to know about bus 94 and connections to the Amtrak station. I guess if your job is to field calls for gonzo idiots you have to expect that after a while they'd get a glazed over, stoned expression on their face. Anyway, Mr Ball-of-fire dutifully accepted my already completed form and said that the computer system is down and that the IT guys were trying to fix it but the repairs could take weeks. Being an IT guy myself I was not aware of any mushroom clouds lingering over any data centers so no idea what this character was talking about except that he was obviously blowing me off. DMV-speak for get lost, don't call us, we'll call you. OK, fine. The transit center itself was fine. Every bus had a stall and every stall had a bus so it's all good.

Great option from Seattle to Crystal…read more Two recommendations: 1. Clarify pick up location in e-mail. There were two addresses for the Downtown Seattle pickup. I was lucky to be at the right one, but I was 2 minutes from walking to the next address when I did not see the bus. 2. We left at 415pm from Crystal. We waited for other passengers. I don't mind waiting, but I thought it was unfair for those who returned to the bus on time. I recommend just changing the departure time to 430pm. Crystal closes at 415pm. Not to mention that we had to sit in traffic for an additional hour in the morning, so that was a total of 75 minutes that I missed on the snow. The bus is still very convenient if you don't have a car and it is only you for the day.

None of the outlets nor USB ports worked, nor did the fan controls overhead. The slight draft through the vent and the broken seal around the windows sufficed. Our bus carried only five passengers, we spaced ourselves apart, and fortunately nobody nuked a big one. Most of the window gaskets squeaked, annoyingly, and one showed a visible gap. I did think, a window could fall out, and thus would not reach Vancouver on schedule. They couldn't even properly adjust the large LED clock, still set on Standard Time and a few minutes late. Litter left and scattered from the previous trip tells me either nobody cleaned the bus in Seattle, where we originated, or they were given so little time or otherwise cleaned it poorly. I wouldn't have known about MTRWestern had Flixbus not contracted them for the codeshare to Vancouver. Nor would i have otherwise chosen them. They ran the worst, dirtiest, and least maintained bus i've ever ridden.

We needed a car seat and a booster seat for our children ages 4 and 7, and were told those would be available and ready when the car arrived. When the car did arrive, we watched our driver, Chris, opened the trunk, fetched a car seat and booster seat, tossed both onto the backseat, then stood by the opened trunk and watched as my husband loaded the luggage. Then as I wrangled my children and kept them away from airport traffic, I witnessed Chris circle back to the front seat, get in, close the door, buckle up, and then simply sit and watch as my husband again struggle for a good 10-15 minutes to attach and secure both the car seat and booster. If there were any legality that may have prevented Chris from setting up the car seat and booster seat beforehand, we were not informed. He said nothing. He did nothing. He just watched. The final straw was the state of the car seat: visibly grimy with dark stains. It looked like it was picked up on the side of the road or fished out of the dumpster somewhere. Our 4-year old became so frightened, he fought us and cried as we bit our tongue and strapped him in. The booster seat was in no better shape, but our 7-year old handled it better--kudos to him. The car itself, at least, was clean. The driving was safe, thank goodness, but the ride reflected its driver's bitter and sour mood. Our conclusion? Never again. If you are a family traveling with young children, take note.

I was worried that if i used a rideshare service a driver might not be available and prompt so early in the morning. Excellent service - clean car, plenty of luggage space, friendly and competent driver, and I called to book less than 24 hours the day before. Great peace of mind to not miss my flight. The person on the phone was competent and prompt to answer questions / give me a quote as well. These folks had the most competitive price leaving from a residential neighborhood in seattle (1/2 the cost of me paying to park at seatac). I will definitely book with them again for an early morning or late night airport ride.
