Arrival: Pushed to board 30 minutes earlier than the confirmed reservation time. There's a shortage of drivers, and many have told me they're at the end of an overtime shift so they're tired and want to leave ASAP. They use Flight Aware to monitor arrival and assume I'm immediately ready to leave. They don't factor in delays in deplaning, a bathroom stop, or the time it takes to travel from the North terminal to baggage claim before I can get to the shuttle location. Departure: Efficient and comfortable. Pickup has always been on time or a bit early, and the GPS link via text to track the van arrival for pickup is great! read more

Used their "Premier Airport Shuttle" service to get from Olympia to SeaTac airport on a Tuesday. Expensive ($115 including a tip) but still cheaper than a ride share. They called twice to confirm my pickup including when there was a slight change to my pickup time (but none to airport arrival). I was impressed by the tracking app they had on the day of my pickup. They were exactly on time and came in a nice Mercedes Sprinter van. I was the last pickup and only three others in the van with me. Driver was friendly and efficient. We got to the airport exactly on time without any traffic though I'm sure it can be bad during commute hours. Overall great experience and exceeded my expectations. read more

Paid for a ride from Sea-Tac to Olympia to be picked up at midnight after our late flight arrived from Newark. There was no van to pick us up so we called the dispatcher. She said he went home at 11:30pm. We asked what we should do. She said to hire a taxi & they will pay the difference. Our taxi was $180 and our Premier was paid $105. When I called the office the next week for the $75 promised they told us that they do not give credit for using any other carrier. The dispatcher lied to her boss when she told him that she never promised to help pay to get us home. I am very disappointed in how they handled our situation, leaving us stranded at Sea-Tac at 12:30am and lying to us on how to rectify the situation. We used Capital for a private shuttle to take us from Edgewood to SEA Airport for a family trip and I can't say how great the value and service was. On our outbound trip, our driver Rob arrived at our house early and was very helpful loading bags and ensured that our carseat was installed correctly for our 4 year old. The Sprinter van was clean and comfortable for our party of 6. On our return trip, our driver Tom texted me before we were even off the plane, to ensure I knew where to meet him in the parking garage. Again, the Sprinter van was very clean and comfortable for us after getting off a 4.5 hour flight. The rates we paid for this private shuttle service were at least 30% below the other quotes I obtained from other shuttle companies. I'll absolutely use Capital next time I need shuttle service! read more

Took the Capital Aeroporter on Memorial Day weekend, 2019 for a one way trip to a flight out of sea-tac. It was my first time, and as most first times I was nervous to try something new. I booked 10 days in advance and paid ahead of time. They sent me a follow up email confirming my reservation and time, and on the day of travel called me well before the scheduled pick-up time. About 20 minutes to my scheduled time, I got a text and could track the van on the way to my house (neat feature)! Stephen H was my driver and showed up on the dot. He was polite and personable, greeted me and opened the door. He made conversation and was a great driver. My shared van had 3 people altogether and I was the last pick up - maybe that's just a lucky first time but it made the experience nice and easy and comfortable for me. We got to the airport in an hour giving me plenty of time to spare. I would definitely book again with Capital Aeroporter after this experience. The first part of July, I made a reservation and received confirmation on July 8. My credit card was charged immediately. When I noticed that they would not be picking us up from the airport on our return trip until 5 hours after the plane lands, I emailed to ask why. I also emailed asking if they had applied the senior discount. I emailed several more times asking for an answer but did not get one. I decided to cancel the reservation which I did using the "manage reservation" tab in their confirmation email. Here 2 weeks later, my charge card has not been credited. I finally called them on the phone and after being on hold for a while, someone answered and told me my refund would be processed in 3-5 days. I asked why it hadn't been processed already after 2 weeks waiting and he said that customers must telephone in order to get their refund. It does not say that in their emails or on their website. Wouldn't they assume you want your momey back after you cancel?!?!? I won't be using this service again as it seems I'm really not important to them as their message says while you're on hold.. read more

The online scheduling process was really simple and straight forward, and the pick up was on time and worked out great. The driver was friendly and took good care of our very full van. The only problem we encountered was on the return. Our flight back into Sea-Tac was delayed, so we didn't get there when we were supposed to. There was a single older man (Mike B.) at the shuttle counter who was neither friendly nor helpful. Apparently, a few of their shuttles were out of service for mechanical issues, and all he had was a minivan. He didn't know if he could fit our luggage, and didn't seem concerned with how we were getting home. He also turned multiple people away including a soldier in uniform while we were waiting instead of just setting them up on a later shuttle. After we argued with him a bit, we went out to the minivan to see if we would all fit. There were only three other people with one small bag a piece making us 5 passengers plus the driver - plenty of room in a mini van for that. Instead of trying to put our larger bag in first (we had been away for a couple of weeks, and my wife likes her clothes...) he put the smaller stuff on the bottom. Who loads a car like that? Our stuff still easily fit, although he repeatedly told us outside that it wouldn't. Had it not, I would have went off on him and rearranged the bags myself in a more logical manner. As far as getting us home safely, he was swerving quite a bit on the roads, and seemed to be falling asleep at the wheel. I unloaded my own bag from the van and left without tipping him. The service on the shuttle has gotten ridiculous. The company tries to fit as many stops as possible and at the same time has been raising their prices. I was picked up from olympia at 5am and arrived at the airport barely in time for a 9:20am flight and there was no traffic. On the way back there were 5 groups on the shuttle. We had to wait for a passenger's delayed flight so waited at the airport for an hour. The odds of having one delayed flight out of five groups is pretty high. The shuttle costs about $20 less than an Uber each way and should not take this many groups especially during a pandemic. I will be taking Uber or public transit going forward. read more

Robinson of Capitol Aeroporter SeaTac rocks! He saw that my flight was almost 2 hours delayed, called me at baggage claim to see if I could make it to a shuttle that was just leaving. I thought I'd have to wait for my bag so sadly said I couldn't make it and hung up, resigning myself to having to wait an hour for the next shuttle (after 19 hours of traveling). Then, after I hung up, my bag arrived. I ran to grab it and called Robinson back. Since there are mixed reviews, I'll give the Capitol Aeroporter a thumbs up! I chose the shuttle since I wasn't comfortable taking public transit at night and changing buses at the SR512 Park 'N Ride. With only two other parties, we made great time from SeaTac to Olympia. I was home in just over an hour. The shuttle was clean and comfortable, with free wifi. Joey, our driver, was extremely courteous and professional. He drove very safely, lit the entrance to the van with his flashlight and carried my bags all the way to my front door. Bring cash to tip your driver! My only complaints were the high price point ($60 for door-to-door service) and online booking process. Seeing as my mother can get from SeaTac to Wenatchee for $45 (total distance 150 miles) on the Wenatchee Valley Shuttle, and I recently took the C&J Shuttle from Portsmouth to Boston for $23 (total distance: 60 miles, slightly longer than SeaTac to Olympia) this service seems overpriced. Plus, it was unclear from the website whether door-to-door service was offered, and when I made my reservation, my only options were communal drop-off locations in a drop-down menu. I had to call to confirm that door-to-door was available, and give them my full address. I will most likely take Capitol Aeroporter again if it's late at night, otherwise taking a $5, 2-hour public transit ride (plus someone to pick me up a the transit center) is a much better deal. read more

I was in a jam due to a flight delay and then ultimately cancellation and needed to get as close to Pacific Beach as possible. When I called the morning of my flight the lady over the phone was not the nicest nor did she seem to really want to help me out but I still got all the info I needed to figure out what to do, I just had to ask all the right questions! Ultimately I decided not to book in advance for fear that something else would happen to my flight and the fare wouldn't be refunded if that happened. When my flight landed I went straight to the desk location where a friendly gentleman was working. He was extremely helpful and tried his best to get me where I needed to go quickly. I ended up going to Olympia because it was less expensive. The vehicle itself was brand new, and the driver that night was extremely friendly as well. Booked capital airporter for a round trip, and will have to say that I will not be using them ever again. Was scheduled to be picked up at 145 am, and the driver was 35 minutes late. Middle of the night, no traffic, no excuses. We find out that the next party was scheduled to be picked up at 230 am, about ten minutes away. Of course they were picked up on time. Capair could have given us the common decency to let us know they are intentionally picking us up late. Half an hour extra to sleep means alot when you have to travel all day. The return trip was just as frustrating. Scheduled 1145pm trip back home. We don't leave until 1205 am. They have great pricing, but horrible scheduling. The time wasted doesn't justify the monetary savings. read more

I used their private van service (although I still don't understand what the difference is between "direct" and "private" van is, and I had to pay $20 more for one, and although I asked, the answer I was given was less than clear. The website does a terrible job of describing the differences. Going to the airport, the driver was a few minutes early and very courteous. Returning back at Sea-Tac the counter service was less than stellar. The older man behind the counter was grumpy and looked like he wished he was somewhere else. Instead of asking me if he could help me, I had to be the first one to speak up - not a good sign, and even then, the old grump was barely helpful. Not a pleasant experience. I use Capital Aeroporter because there really is no reasonable choice in my area, and because, at least, their drivers are courteous. If all the drivers were like the old grump behind the counter I would pay more to go elsewhere. read more

I've used Capair regularly for the last six years. The vans are nice and the drivers are polite. Getting to Seatac on time from Olympia has never been a problem. The return trip is rarely a smooth experience, however, even with a private van reservation. Of the three private van reservations I've made, only one of them has been honored. They've refunded my money each time, of course, and I've been put on shared ride vans. The flaw with their premium service is that you'll get a $150.00 private van home, with a reservation, only if your flight arrives precisely on time. Short of this, no deal and a big wait. I'll use Capair again if they offer a reliable premium service, which I would gladly pay more for. read more

The people working at the front desk were friendly and already knew who I was when I got there. Took a chance despite the OK reviews because I wasn't sure if there would be any ubers at 3am. Couldn't imagine a better experience. They called at 4:30 pm the day before and told me that it would be 15 min earlier than what I picked. An hour before the pickup time the driver called and said he was running early and would be another 15 min earlier. I was ok with that since they did a great job communicating with me. The driver knocked on my door, offered to help with our bags and shined a flashlight for us to see. He also got us to the airport in record time. Outstanding shuttle service. Excellent online experience, professional and helpful drivers and desk staff, and super nice vans (high roof transit so no climbing over other passengers). When I arrived at SEATAC I checked the Uber fare to Tacoma (my destination), and it was more than double what I paid Capital Aeroporter. When I made the reservation, they even followed up by phone to say they couldn't find the flight I'd listed, and it turned my departure time had been changed pretty dramatically and I never got an update, so they saved me missing a flight. i had a horrible customer experience with this company. A driver wouldn't drop me and my wife off at the end of my street which was Lacey street it's literally on the route to the drop off destination which was St.Martins college. We begged him politely to please just stop here so we don't have to walk half a mile with our luggage and our house is right here. He claimed procedure and would not do it. I have used this service to go between Olympia and the SeaTac airport more times than I can count. I finally got so fed up and decided the slightly cheaper cost was not worth the horrible service these people consistently provide. I now drive myself and park my own car and pay more (happily) for parking lot service. Every time I can remember, upon landing and hauling my bags all the way to their little stand at the end of the airport, the same lady who has been at the front desk for years is there, with an incredibly rude, "what do YOU want?" kind of attitude. She will stand around casually chatting and ignore you until she's good and ready (even if it's 11pm and no one else is around) and then once you finally receive acknowledgement, she rudely snaps while answering your questions. One night, she put off helping me for such a long time that I missed the chance to get a spot on the next shuttle - when I inquired about getting on that nearly empty shuttle she snapped that it was "too late" and I should have arrived sooner. It was all I could do to keep my cool while I told her "I have been waiting right here in front of your face for the last 25 minutes, isn't that enough time?!!?" Because she pushed it too long, I had to wait another HOUR until the last shuttle of the night left. There has only been one driver I've ridden with during years of back and forth trips that was kind, friendly, and alert. Other than that ride, I've encountered multiple rude drivers, one of whom asked a bunch of unusual personal questions about my living situation upon arriving outside my house (who is that? is that your roommate? partner? how many people live here? none of your biz dude!) and another who stood staring at me silently waiting for a tip after arriving late and complaining to me rudely about not giving better directions because my house is "hard to find". Bottom line, don't bother unless you love having your travel unnecessarily delayed while you are treated like crap in the process. I would MUCH rather pay more to the kind, friendly, helpful, attentive people at the offsite parking lot I now frequent, than pay anything at all to these people who have zero respect for their customers who are the reason they have this business in the first place! I was booked two hours after my flight arrived - for their convenience I found out later. The shuttle at 2:30 pm was booked. I arrived at 1:45 pm and had to wait until the 3:30 shuttle. Turned out one of the people in my van had missed the 2:30 shuttle so they could have accommodated me. Then, although everyone on the van but me didn't care when they were dropped off, and said so, they stuck to protocol and I was last on the list. My husband and dog were waiting for me at a hotel they'd driven to. We had to get to Shelton from Olympia. They could have easily reversed the route, but they chose not to. I took this shuttle once before and everything was fine. I appreciate that the company cared enough to contact me. read more
