The old MTRWestern Volvo had bad shocks. I-5 to Vancouver had few big bumps, but getting onto the freeway and Vancouver avenues had plenty. None of the outlets nor USB ports worked, nor did the fan controls overhead. The slight draft through the vent and the broken seal around the windows sufficed. Our bus carried only five passengers, we spaced ourselves apart, and fortunately nobody nuked a big one. Most of the window gaskets squeaked, annoyingly, and one showed a visible gap. I did think, a window could fall out, and thus would not reach Vancouver on schedule. They couldn't even properly adjust the large LED clock, still set on Standard Time and a few minutes late. Litter left and scattered from the previous trip tells me either nobody cleaned the bus in Seattle, where we originated, or they were given so little time or otherwise cleaned it poorly. I wouldn't have known about MTRWestern had Flixbus not contracted them for the codeshare to Vancouver. Nor would i have otherwise chosen them. They ran the worst, dirtiest, and least maintained bus i've ever ridden. read more

UNSAFE UNQUALIFIED DRIVERS! A VERY elderly bus driver who appeared disoriented was driving down the center of a narrow two-lane neighborhood street and almost hit my car. I had to slam on my brakes and reverse into an intersection. The bus appeared lost; there was no reason for them to be on this very small street. The driver honked at me and seemed confused and angry. I called to report the driver and the woman on the phone seemed annoyed I hadn't taken down all of the bus information. She said it was "so much easier for [her]" if I had. Maybe they don't track their vehicles? Highly unprofessional, and makes me wonder if they simply don't know what routes their drivers take. They seemed unconcerned by the incident and irritated that I had called. I would NOT feel safe with this company. read more

I will never use Dungeness line again. Paid $81.50 with transaction still pending and tried to cancel. They said no. The Strait Shot is a much better deal at $10.00 anyway. Once you get off the ferry just take an Uber to Seatac. MTRWESTERN sucks big time! read more

We had the best coach driver! Our charter was from Mount Vernon to Capitol hill in Seattle. Very windy, much traffic, and an atmospheric river of rain. He was courteous, careful, and alert. And...he made good time! From the reviews, looks like we got lucky! read more

Bus drivers were awful. My bus had 3 drivers total, two of whom spent the entire trip chatting with each other - while one was driving. And they were YELLING, not just quietly chatting. The actual driver kept looking at the other guy in his rear view mirror while they chatted. The driver was eating and drinking while driving (which is considered distracted driving). The drivers were talking about how great it was when the mirrors actually worked. Same with the windshield wipers. They discussed what hotels were good, and how many hours of overtime they have. One guy had 32, which made me feel like, is he too tired to be driving this bus? When he wasn't talking he was whistling. I was truly ready to strangle those two guys, because I couldn't listen to podcasts, study, or read because of these guys. I felt extremely unsafe with these two losers. I purchased this trip through Flix. I have never had trouble with an actual Flix bus. MTRWestern was miserable. I'll fly from now on. read more

According to Snoqualmie Casino, this bus company help many of their customers get to their casinos from many cities in the Seattle area. One of their drivers treated me like crap about 48 hours ago as I was going to Snoqualmie. The driver was black. This driver got unnecessary defensive with me and was very unprofessional. The way he communicated with me was especially unprofessional. One their website, they claim they provide world class service. That experience that I had was not world class. This company needs to vet their drivers much more carefully, and they need to train them how to handle difficult situations in a professional and civilized manner. Their drivers need to treat the customers of their customers with dignity and respect. read more

I am giving a very big high 5 to one of your flixbus drivers route 2124 spoken to Seattle by the name Tony K, he was able to proof beyond reasonable doubt that exceptional customer service is one of his watchwords/ priority and providing a shoulder to lean on when a customer is in distress. Myself , my husband and my sister are highly grateful to him because he made sure he stood with us , he called the customer service on our behalf and made sure the issue created by one of your agents who misinformed us and left us stranded was resolved before he left the scene . Tony the bus driver who drive us from Pasco, WA to Spokane, Washington on September 10, 2024 was outstanding. the Pasco bus station did not have any employees working, and there were many waiting passengers for several other routes to Boise and Seattle and Portland. Tony talked to each one of them to help them find the phone number for the bus company and told them how to get refunds and how to check on where their bus might be. He was kind and efficient and a great driver getting us safely to Spokane. Tony is an excellent example of an employee who goes above and beyond to deliver outstanding customer service. We booked our bus tickets via Flix bus from Boise to Bend, Oregon. We had a connecting bus from Ontario, Oregon to Bend. Upon arriving in Ontario, our bus driver informed us that our bus had been cancelled, leaving us stranded in a very rural area. We tried calling both Flix and the bus company only to find out that Flix could not help us and provided us with a number to call this company. Evidently, they were closed until Monday. I have never been treated with such a lack of professionalism and a total disregard for the safety of my wife and I. read more

So... here I am, on a bus with 28 new friends, heading off to a party, the bus trying to leave the parking lot which picked us up from. What was impressive about this company was two fold... 1. The bus, which was clean, comfortable, and smelled great. The seats were soft, yet firm. The material felt plush and luxurious. They had cup holders and arm rests, it was really nice to be on. 2. The driver. Our driver was the utter personification of precision, skillful, technical, and just brilliant. The entire bus noticed that there were instances where the cars outside, which would have made our lives more difficult, and she took the time to find a path, and dove that bus to perfection. On the way to our destination and back again, it was sheer comfort, and I impressed, yes! Was the entire bus impressed, yes! If I need a chartered bus, I know I'm going to start with them first. read more

Great option from Seattle to Crystal. Two recommendations: 1. Clarify pick up location in e-mail. There were two addresses for the Downtown Seattle pickup. I was lucky to be at the right one, but I was 2 minutes from walking to the next address when I did not see the bus. 2. We left at 415pm from Crystal. We waited for other passengers. I don't mind waiting, but I thought it was unfair for those who returned to the bus on time. I recommend just changing the departure time to 430pm. Crystal closes at 415pm. Not to mention that we had to sit in traffic for an additional hour in the morning, so that was a total of 75 minutes that I missed on the snow. The bus is still very convenient if you don't have a car and it is only you for the day. read more

Let's a take a trip, shall we...a trip to the land of coach transportation and the magical world of 47-57 passenger passenger buses and a place that I exist in at least once a month **insert a wavy screen image** As an Assistant Company Manager of a tour, I often have the job, nay, privilege of finding group transportation to/from the airport and, occasionally, between cities. How does one do that? Glad you ask, because it would be the wonderful world of luxury coach transportation! It's a vast vast vast world of companies that own those nice buses you take when you're in a marching band in high school at a bowl game, going to a corporate event, or transporting groups to theatrical events! However, there is a dark side. That dark side would be that there are SO MANY FRICKIN OPTIONS! I haven't a clue where to begin half of the time because everyone has a website, and they often look really cheesy and not trustworthy. All that changed, however, when I was googleing "charter transportation seattle" and came upon MTR Western's webpage! After being very impressed with the professional nature of the webpage, I decided to get a quote, liked the quote, booked the service and waited till the day of transportation. First, however, I want to point out that the whole process was stellar from quote to drop off. Prompt, efficient, and reliable. They even spelled out exactly how to contact the bus at the airport in their confirmation. Never have I had an experience where I tell the bus we're at luggage claim, and then had it arrive right as we were walking to our stall. That, and our driver was FABOO. They set out a little mat on the ground before you get on the bus (not necessary, but a nice touch). He was very sociable and polite. He even gave me an umbrella in the awful downpour that is Seattle and helped take my luggage to the hotel (being that I was the last person on the bus). I'm sure he can't always make this accommodation, but it sure was helpful! Now, why spend so much time on a Charter Bus Company review, you might ask? Well, mainly because it's so hard to receive a reliable review on bus companies, and considering the vast amount of options, it can be overwhelming and hard to trust many of them! And, being that Yelp is a forum to review pretty much anything, I say that If I find a good Bus charter service company, I want people to know about it! SO! We used MTR Western to shuttle 150 guests from our wedding ceremony venue to our reception venue. I'd never booked buses of any size before, so I was nervous about getting the logistics right. Thankfully, we were in great hands with MTR Western. They sent drivers to our venues beforehand to "spot" the locations and estimate timing, so that our guests would arrive as close to the right time as possible. On the day of the wedding, we had a last-minute location change due to rain, which the drivers handled with ease. And when we had some confusion about the charges after the fact, Mona on the sales team went above and beyond to make sure we were treated fairly. I was a passenger on one of these buses for a recent work trip; I can only comment on my experience as a passenger, not as someone organizing a trip. That said, I'd skip the work trip in the future over riding on a MTR Western bus again. The biggest issue was that the buses clustered together like schoolchildren going to the bathroom. One bus is still loading luggage, they're all waiting. One bus has a mechanical issue, they all stop. One bus is still clearing customs -- same story. Add to this that the lead bus decided to stop at duty free -- despite explicit instructions not to -- and a trip that should have taken 4.5 hours took over 6.5 hours. Their inefficiency and disregard for their passengers' time was maddening. read more

I bought tickets for my 16 year old son and his buddy to go snowboarding on Crystal Mt. I was very nervous but the Staff was reassuring and it was so easy and convenient. The tickets were very reasonably priced and you can even buy your lift ticket with them. The boys said the bus was very clean and comfortable which was nice after boarding all day. Not having to worry about anyone driving was such a bonus. read more

I did not prebook my trip to Stevens Pass on the ski bus but there was plenty of room and the check in process was done quickly. The bus was VERY comfortable and there was plenty of storage space for my equipment. The bus departed on time from each location which left me plenty of time to ski and down time on the ride up there and back. I will definitely use MTR for my trip up to Stevens again. read more

MTR is an extremely professional and quality company! We have worked with MTR for multiple local trips, and are always satisfied with the staff, drivers and bus appearance! The buses are always maintained very well and the drivers are great. We especially love Paul, a newer driver, who goes above and beyond to make the trip enjoyable for passengers. If you've seen charter buses around Seattle, you will notice that MTR stands out and has the nicest coaches by far. They don't only have one or two nice coaches in their fleet, like most other transportation providers, the entire MTR fleet is luxury! read more

Information provided in the booking confirmation was confusing. Attempted several times to get a hold of customer service to clarify however no one answered. We ended up parking at the wrong location and scrambled to get a hold of someone. The worst part was when we got to the mountain, the driver was unable to put on the chains. We were delayed by 3 hours. When trying to contact MTRWestern via phone and email, still no answer. Sounded like a good service but sadly will not use again. read more
