He actually showed up in about twenty five minutes and with the trailer still attached to my truck he hooked up to my truck and towed my truck and trailer together to my apartment. He help me push my trailer in to my garage and continued to tow my truck to the mechanic shop of my choice. He was very friendly, very helpful and his price was very reasonable. The following morning after waiting approximately 1 hour past the scheduled time I called back and spoke with the same woman and was told that there had been a computer/scheduling glitch but that a truck would be dispatched right away. She was very apologetic and offered the tow at no cost. The driver arrived about 30 minutes later and was very professional and got my truck to the repair shop straight away. This inconvenience, which at best was only minor for me, did show me that there are small businesses out there that care about their customers and will go out of their way to make something right. The two gentlemen Bryan and Dave that helped me were outstanding in their professionalism, repairing my auto in a timely manner and certainly at an affordable price. My 88 Dodge truck right front brake caliber froze and was smoking when I got it off the road. I am 60 yrs old and never been left on the side of the road before. I am 5 hrs away from home and didn't know who to call for repair. I usually do work like this on my own vehicles and I knew what it would of cost me if I did it myself and what honest garages would charge in my area. I have heard stories of people being taken advantage of by repair shops when caught in this situation. I thought about it and decided to call a Auto parts store and ask them who would be the best to call in my situation. I figured these guys know all the auto shops and who was the best. East Coast Towing was recommended. I was on a major hwy with road construction on a Friday afternoon and 4th of July weekend and it's hot. I'm going to guess they arrived within 15-20 minutes after calling. The driver Dave was great and asked where I wanted to be towed. When I called ECT I was speaking to a fella I did not know at the time and he said he could do the repair or get me to another garage to do the repair. I choose to let them do the repair since they were recommended and could get right to it. I could not ask for a better experience in emergency road repair. Every aspect of the interaction between these two guys from the calling, towing, repair, being social and cost was so much better than ever expected. In fact my bill was a hundred less than I expected. My brakes performed as they should on my 5 hr drive home. There are a lot of places that can do this type of work and do a good job, however, I felt these guys really cared about the traveling public and the hardship of breaking down and being left on the side of the road 5 hrs away from home.
