They were so loving, compassionate, caring, not only with him, but to our family as well. They truly went above and beyond to provide comfort for for all of us. I would highly recommend them.

It was one of 3 organizations recommended to me by her Palliative Care provider. The other two didn't have great reviews. My neighbor used them and had a positive experience. I soon regretted my decision. There were a multitude of problems - from not getting initial supplies (because it was the weekend and they don't deliver on weekends!) to the most severe problem - not being able to manage my mother's discomfort in the last days of her life. A hospice nurse determined that she was suffering from "Terminal Agitation", and she was suffering. Her agitation and discomfort worsened every day. She wasn't able to swallow - but they insisted on ordering pills - to be crushed - and finally a liquid - none of which she could swallow or absorb sublingually. I had to have a friend pick up the liquid medication from the local pharmacy in order to get it in a timely manner. They wouldn't even entertain the option of any other route of medication or changing from Oxycodone to Morphine so we could have another option for administration. They suggested a rectal tube (Macy catheter), which I knew nothing about. At the time the nurse suggested it, my mother was still responsive and we felt it would aggravate her agitation. In the end, we had no choice. I was shocked to learn it wasn't what I knew a rectal tube to be. It is a very specialized thin tube with a medication port. No one ever offered to show us what it was until the day she died. She died 4 hours after inserting the catheter and finally receiving and absorbing the medications for comfort. My mother suffered terribly for the last 5 days of her life. My family and I are still traumatized by seeing her suffer and being helpless to comfort her or to get comfort for her, despite our advocacy. I am a retired RN and my brother is a physician. Although we are healthcare professionals, we are not specialized in hospice. We trusted Ohio's Hospice to be the experts and understand how to manage symptoms in the final stages of life. This was not our experience. I wrote a letter to the CEO in January of 2026, expressing my concerns and asking questions about the rationale for not considering other routes of medication administration. No one has had the courtesy to respond or acknowledge my concerns. I can't recommend this organization for Hospice care, especially if you are in the Columbus, OH area.
