Severely Understaffed - Lack of patient attention. Most of the employees at this facility are…read moregreat and try their best. It is unfortunate that this facility is ran so lean (UNDERSTAFFED) that the patient care quality is diminished and suffering. The workers try their best to provide the best care they can, but with their load of patients it is just not possible. My family member is not able to do anything for themselves, no talking, not much movement so it is really up to the facility to help rehab them. There have been various times when my family member sits in their soiled diaper for over an hour before being changed. They have had 3 infections since they got to the facility in two months. Just the other day I let an STNA know that our family member was soiled. I waited 30 minutes before saying something again to the staff to please come change them. That time I was told that they were finishing handing out snacks to the other patients before they were able to come change them. Now think about this sitting in your own pee and poop for over 30 minutes, and not able to do anything or tell anyone about it. All this happened while I was there, so think about what happens and how long our family member sits when we are not there. It was closer to one hour passed since my first initial request to change diapers before someone came in to check. Even when they were in there giving meds and vitals, they never once checked to see if they had a bowel movement or used the restroom. I would not recommend sending your loved one to this facility if they need rehab, and alot of attention. The staff just does not have the time to care for them. It is unfortunate with insurance companies we do not have the option to move our family member to a different facility. We were told by some staff that they don't actually rehab and do range of motions when they come check on the patients because of the time commitment it takes to do this and their overload of patients. This facility management should definitely look into hiring an agency for additional workers or adding additional staff so that patient care is not hindered. We are currently looking for other facilities that insurance will approve to get our family member out of here so that their rehabilitation is not delayed and they get the care and attention they need and deserve. The staff is doing the best they can, but management has to do better. This is not just a thing of right now, this facility has been like this for over 2 years per previous workers and previous patients families. Something has to change. Our family members deserve good quality and attentive care.

We have great conversation during my exercises, which makes the time pass quickly. She leaves me detailed written instructions of what I am to work on in her absence, bonus exercises to do, should I feel that I can do more. Her attitude makes me want to accomplish more. I see Dr Popp upstairs for my hand. His office is there as well as one of the nicest hand PT clinics that I have been to. Ive been to OSU, OrthoNeuro and one near Polaris... this by far is the better that I have been to. Doctor Popp examined my hand. Gave me a cortisone shot in my thumbs knuckle/joint. Warned me it would hurt. It hurt but not as bad as I thought it would. Later that night my thumb started to feel much better. In two days it felt better than it had felt in two years. While at this appointment he sent me to the hand therapists. There I met Cheryl who made me a custom brace. Let me tell you. That was worth its price. I have been to OSU 2xs for this injury. Each time OSU fit me with the wrong brace. The brace OSU last gave me injured my thumb even more just putting it on. This new brace! Wow. My thumb doesn't hurt in it. It rests it in the appropriate position while the hard shell protects it from accidental bumps I highly recommend Dr Pott at Orthopedic One for thumb injuries.

In the past, they were extremely pleasant, patient and encouraging to me as I was recovering from a knee injury. Yesterday was my first time visiting their new location and I entered feeling optimistic. Christina at the front desk had already been kind enough to email me the paperwork to help expedite my processing upon arrival. When I entered, she greeted me with a warm and welcoming smile and got me set up in no time (even though I had failed to bring in the paperwork). As I was finishing the final forms, I was approached by Physical Therapist Jaime, who was all set up and ready to go. She offered to get me started and save the remaining paperwork until after we were finished. I was under the impression that I would just have a counseling session and tour of the facility. Nope! She took me to a private room, discussed my history and pain levels, conducted measurements and then ran me through a series of preliminary exercises to assess my abilities. I'm glad I was swearing sweat apparel! We hit it off immediately and I quickly felt better about the fact that I was to rehab my back, shoulder and knee at the same time (due to an accident). After we finished, we toured the remainder of the facility and spent some time at the half-pool, the primary location for my coming sessions. She seemed quite eager to work with me and made me feel great about being there. Back at the front desk, there were very accommodating, considering that I had a hectic schedule and was playing chauffeur to two of my sons for the coming weeks. I start next week and I tell you, I have no reservations. I'm looking forward to the pain in hopes and getting it all back together again, and soon! I needed a CT scan done and my doctor sent me to the Eastside Health Center. They called me to set up the appointment and pre-register me. When I got there I was taken in almost immediately to complete the rest of the paperwork and confirm insurance. Please note: Make sure you tell them you want THEM to bill your insurance company or they will bill you and you have to fight with the insurance company to pay it. After I finished with the paperwork side, Lynn walked me through and was with me the rest of the process. She explained everything so thoroughly, brought me the contrast to drink, put the IV in, and administered the test. She was so kind that even thinking about it now is bringing me to tears. She calmed my nerves and made me as comfortable as it could be. If everyone is as nice as Lynn at Ohio Health, I will definitely make it a point to go to their facilities for tests. Thank you again Lynn. You are a true gem!

They have put him back on Opioids again, but his appointment to get it removed isn't until May 21st. The department when my ex-wife calls tell her that he's isn't a established patient so he has to wait longer for relief. In the meantime he can't work and is in major pain daily. I don't understand keeping a kidney stone patient in pain that long as the procedure is a short one to remove it & allow him to go back to work & stop the relentless pain. Years back when I had 4 kidney stone attacks the Doctor would remove it with this procedure if I hadn't past it in about 4 to 5 days not weeks or months. If I were to have another attack the last place I would go would be OSU
