We discovered this place last year after we waited for a sale on tomatoes at a different nursery…read moreonly to find they were out of stock on most things we wanted. Joe's had what we were looking for and saved the day. If your looking for vegetables, they have young plants at very reasonable prices. This year we were able to get everything we set out to buy in Mid May. We wanted peppers and tomatoes and they offered a wide variety of both. The planting season is a little earlier this year and we were pleasantly surprised with the growth on the young plants we were able to purchase. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They have a couple of registers to check out when your ready with your selections. The parking is limited to a few spaces out front right off the main road, but if you get there early, when they first open, it's not too hard to get a spot. We will definitely be back again next year.

Lots of root bound and dying plants to choose from now. Years ago we landscaped our entire yard from tri-city. It now looks beautiful. Fast forward to now and we are in a different home trying to landscape. We went to tri city hoping for another good experience. Wow! What a disappointment. We ended up only purchasing 11 little boxwoods. They were yellow in places but seemed ok. We planted them the same day and shortly thereafter they began to worsen. I have called tri city for help. You can only get an answering machine that tells you to contact them via their website. I have now emailed three different managers and NOT ONE has reached out to me. We will not be back. Save yourself the hassle an go to J&J.

Because J&J always answers their phone, and are very pleasant and helpful when i ask a question. Tri-City, on the other hand, almost NEVER answers their phone. I can't tell you how many times i have called Tri-City and got a recording instead of a person. So, off I go today to buy a cubic yard of soil mix from J&J because they are professional enough to answer the phone. Five stars for J&J!

The plants we've bought here are always happy and healthy, however, we always treat them for fungus gnats if we bring them inside. This is our favorite place to shop for plants.

Physically attacking people he disagrees with. Never again will I step foot in J&J, which is ok because I actually have only been there once in the last few years. Shortly after my first review I found other places that have much better prices and better product. The trees we bought from J&J have not done as well as ones we bought elsewhere. I've found better stock of tomatoes elsewhere also. When I went back a year or so ago I realized I wasn't missing out and I didn't need to spend that much to find good products.

It's hard to…read moretrack them down, because they're completely hands on and stay busy taking great care of the plants they have. A couple of friends and I stopped by for the succulent class. Desiree spent over an hour with us, helping us choose our plants, talking to us about our selections and helping us pot them. Would not recommend using Layton. I bought five 6-foot spruce trees and six 6-foot aspen trees…read morefrom Layton and had Layton plant and run irrigation lines to the trees. One of the spruce trees and three of the aspen trees didn t survive the transplant. Layton s contract states Plants that fail to survive within 60 days from time of planting will be replaced at no cost to the owner . Within two weeks of planting I contacted Larry Layton and informed him that the trees were not alive and he said he would replace them. After 30+ phone calls and multiple conversations and false promisses, it's almost a year later and they still have not replaced my trees! I am about to file a claim against Layton Tree Farms in small claims court.
