This is a great camp for your kids. Yes they work them hard and it costs an arm and a leg for a week of camp but your child will love it. Even though its camp, the cabins are air conditioned, the showers and bathrooms for the kids are clean and updated. My kid even loves the food which never happens. They have a gym dedicated to each event and the coaches come from all over the world to train the girls. And then there's the recreation. Huge water slide on the side of a hill, camp fires, boats, pools, anything else you can think of. It's the only place your kid will not miss their phone. So we take the four hour drive once a year knowing that she'll be taken care of and have the time of her life. read more

This camp freakin sucks (Im sorry if I'm being harsh) I went to this camp for a week and this camp makes you feel so insecure about your body so I have to wear a hoodie the entire practice, even was hot the clothes there are extremely expensive, and we do dance and ballet like this is a gymnastics camp, we wake up at 7 AM and do gymnastics at 9 am, all the activities are fun just everyone there hated the gymnastics read more

Our daughters 1st year was so so they did not get to see the fireworks for the 4th of July like the camp was supposed to for them also they didn't get to ride the jet ski's like they were supposed to because the lake was dirty really ok. This camp is clearly a money making operation. Move as many kids through as possible for the privilege of attending IGC. After a full week, my daughter was not able to work on the skills she is currently competing at. As a level 5, she got put in the wrong group of girls who were not able to even do kips. No high bar work at all. How is that possible? After spending so much money on this camp, I asked twice why my daughter was not able to work on or improve the skills she needs most to increase her scores and level up. Twice contacted the office with not a single response. If you want a spend a lot for a fun camp, OK, but I'm very disappointed with the lack of connection they make with the girls and failure to focus on on the skills they need most. read more

My daughter just spent a week there and LOVED it. Have to say I was very impressed as well. She has commented on the great food, comfortable beds, and wide range of fun things to do when they weren't doing gymnastics. I was impressed with the huge focus on safety, cleanliness and organization, the gymnastics focus (vs. adding x-games style sports), and how well camp staff facilitated kids getting to know each other. I also appreciated the strict rule of no phones or technology; kids could just be kids! We traveled from the west coast knowing no one, and my daughter is begging to go back next year. * Responding to the reviews about it being a "money making machine". It's expensive but actually think the value is good. The camp has basically 9 weeks a year to make enough money to stay open. I imagine insurance expenses are through the roof. The number of coaches per kid is impressive, and yes, not all of them are world class, that's impossible (but some are!). Emails that I sent did take a while to get responded to, but I was okay with this. This camp exceeded all of my expectations and we are recommending it to our friends. read more

I sent my 10 year old son here this past week for camp. On a 0-10 scale he gave it an 11! There is a great mix of high level gymnastics as well as plenty of recreational summer camp activities such as swimming, water slides, zip line, rock wall, laser tag, and much more. They bring in a lot of gymnastic celebrities, and gold medalist Lori Hernandez was there this past week. The staff here is really nice and helpful, and the camp is really well run. A little pricey, but overall my son had a great experience, and came home with a few new gymnastics skills. I would highly recommend this camp. read more

Once I got to IGC I knew it was going to be great. The staff at IGC is fun, and keep me safe through everything. The people you meet and lifelong friendships that are made make the camp even more enjoyable. I went there for 2 weeks last years and am going for a month this year at 11 yrs old being its so fun you don't even think about home or anything else. the cabins are air conditioned, the showers are nice and hot and the beds are soft and comfortable. If I could give ZERO stars I would. I asked to have the Director(Brent) return my call due to concerns about my child. I was told that "he is busy and always in the gym even during lunch". I made 2 additional requests to speak with him and still he never returned my call. I have read other reviews that said "management is corrupt, biased, and unprofessional" and I have to agree 100%. The office person (Jenna) should not be answering phones as she is uneducated as to what to say to a concerned parent and super unprofessional,,,and the "Supervisor" of the camp counselors (Olivia) is passive aggressive and doesn't think you're smart enough to read between the lines. When you talk to one of them on the phone they don't hear you out and just defend each other. They think you're stupid and don't see through their bs. The best part about this camp are the actual camp counselors and coaches. If your child doesn't end up having any issues you will be fine. But if you have any reason to deal with the office be prepared for attitude and dealing with unprofessional people. This is unacceptable when there's a $1400 price tag for a one week camp. With so many trust issues in gymnastics you would think the Director would go out of his way to communicate with concerned parents!!!!!!!!!!!!! Multiple kids have complained that the food is terrible as well. They lure your attention saying that big celebrities will be there but it turns out they are often only there for 1-2 days. Photographer is terrible. Worst candid pictures I've ever seen at a price tag of $8 per picture. All that glitters isn't gold! It sounds like this used be a great camp before Brent took over the family business. All he cares about is money....not your kids and not customer service. DO NOT recommend. read more

Although my 13 year old daughter enjoyed the camp, we felt it was a rip off. For the cost of the program, you would think they would cater to your athlete. They nickel and dimes you for everything. When we arrived, we (including the gymnast had to purchase a $2.50 bottle of water and pay $8 for their lunch.) There was no water in sight. They also charge you $1.00 to send an email to your child and another for them to replay. The packages you are offered to send your chid while they are at camp are very cheap and not worth the money. The coaching was mediocre. My daughter felt one of her coaches didn't really know what they were doing. We expected much more from the coaching. She said the coaching she gets at her gym was better than the camps. She would go back for the overall camp experience but we don't think we would send her. We fell we can get that experience for 1/3 of the price. We find it troubling that they have never asked for feed back. A good organization who want to improve, always asks for feedback. read more
