This is THE best silk flower store in Los Angeles, HANDS DOWN!! I got ALLLL of my wedding flowers here (covering up to 14 guest tables, a sweetheart table and wedding party table) for just over $310. I was able to custom make exactly what I wanted and it was honestly such a fun puzzle creating each bouquet! Jess was SOOOO helpful and explained the process for me in great detail - it made shopping such a breeze! You're also able to bring in your own vases to compare each bouquet in your actual vase - SO HELPFUL!! These are the most real looking fake flowers I've ever seen. From afar, I seriously couldn't believe that these were silk. I know my guests are gonna be so WOWed and I can't wait to have these in my home after the wedding! read more

Open on Sundays and excellent customer service. Extensive selection of flowers and greenery, good selection of glass vases and other higher end items at the fraction of the price. They had a lot of different selections and they also have faux grass mats, which was a great idea for her backdrop! Visited a few months back and i was trying to recreate a sunflower backdrop we saw at the Frida Kahlo experience and omg we did it! i found this store on yelp of course and wow. what a treat it was to visit! they have plenty of aisles filled with artificial but so life- like flowers as greenery as well as expandable ivy and greenery backgrounds perfect for making the backdrop or covering ugly fencing. They also jane a ton of containers and potted trees in every height. we will be returning as we are planning my daughters wedding. They secure the front door by locking it as there are a lot of homeless people outside so just a note. great store!! great selection! read more

We had no idea, as to "our" budget, except it was given to us our wedding gift. My paternal aunt purchased, all of our wedding flowers here and placed together by family, with love. We were there, bright and early and got best quality flowers. It was day or two, before they would be used. They must be preserved, freshly and kept them inside my bathroom, in dark, cold room & cranked up AC. All of it was placed in bathtub for hydration.

First the website mentions parking on the roof and we could not find this parking. There was an area blocked off, but it didn't say full. It was just blocked off and the only reason I suspect that was their parking lot is because the exit was still open. So I had to pay for $10 across the street. Yes we could have found street parking further away, but I was already frustrated not having found their lot and my partner was just like I'll just pay. Let's just go across the street. Next even though it is mentioned on the website (I don't remember seeing it despite looking at the website multiple times) and there was a $2 entrance fee. what am I paying $2 for? Why am I paying $2 to shop and spend more money? I'm sorry just on the way there as we got closer, there are so many flower shops around the mart so I don't see why you wouldn't just go to one of those and get your flowers without having to pay an additional fee. So now, we are already $14 out-of-pocket and we havent done anything but try to park and step inside. We get inside we look around and I honestly did not find the prices to be that different from a farmers market perhaps a slightly bigger bouquet, or a couple of dollars cheaper, but there was nothing that was like ooh, this is a great deal. We ended up buying a large bouquet of lilies for $25. There is a stall in the back that had what I would consider actually good price prices. Five stems for $10 and a big bushel of another kind of flower for $6. We got those as well. My partner also really liked the plant guy and bought a plant from him from $20. Now here is where I really will not be back. I stopped at a stall called Choice America. I saw a really pretty set of mum's and asked how much they were & was told $10. The guy helping me then confirmed that they were $10 with somebody else. He then went on to say that one with eight stems was a higher price that I don't remember because I knew I wasn't getting that.When I got to the counter to actually pay, the woman was going back-and-forth with another customer about some order. They both seemed equally frustrated. Why is this important?.. because when it was my time to pay she said $10. I handed her a $20 bill. She opens the register and pulls out a five and some ones throws up her hands. I deduced that already being frustrated this is just one more thing on top as she doesnt have enough change to give me and instead turns to me and says $12.50. I kind of stumble and I say for what... tax or something? and she goes yeah tax clearly lying! Even if they did charge tax, which no other stall did, sales tax in Los Angeles on $10 it's not $12.50. The unfortunate problem is that I am black and I am not afforded the luxury to say something back because then I'm seeing as an angry black woman, have the police called on me not being believed etc. etc. so I just have to bite the bullet and get scammed and ripped off of my money. My partner and I both agree that it was not worth the hassle to go, but he really wants to take me to the restaurant across the street so we would go back to the plant guy and we would go back to the stall in the back but even those are BIG IFS as neither of us has any desire to ever go back to the Flower Mart. I feel like overall. The whole place is a money grab, you should save your money and go to your local farmers market or visit one of the many other vendors that were around the area without having to pay an admission fee to even buy flowers. Or better yet be bold like the elderly lady who accosted us as we were leaving and asked "are you all done in there can I have your sticker?" I was already too flustered to even recognize what she was asking till after my partner happily handed his over.

I asked the workers to open the box while I was there because I was concerned about freshness. Well, they did and the top layers looked okay. Shabata Floral Company has plenty of ribbon, vases, stands, hanging crystals, bamboo sticks, moss, etc., basically all the stuff you would need to make your own centerpieces, bouquets, boutineers and such. The prices are pretty much about the same as the store next door for most items. But this store does have some items that Beads & More do not have, that are cheaper to buy than in your traditional chain craft store sometimes. Employees here speak excellent English and are easy to find when you are looking for something. There are always plenty of items stocked in the shelves here. This store in general is pretty big and has plenty of items and aisles are nice and clean. Shibata Floral Company also has a stall in the building (on the same side as the store) that sells flowers with numerous vendors. Pricing for their flowers are pretty reasonable, however, I have seen flowers cheaper at other vendors in the same building as well. Overall, there are some excellent centerpiece ideas (which is the reason why I just walk in here sometimes even when I have no intention of buying anything) and other things you could make for a wedding, a big event, etc. for a reasonable price.
