ITAP is a fun place to grab a drink with friends - especially on Wednesday nights for trivia! My friends and I have been regularly going to ITAP for trivia night for about 2 years now. Here are a few trivia night tips: 1. Arrive EARLY - trivia starts at 7 and you will not find a table if you show up later than 6:45 2. Try to grab a table near a speaker - it gets loud in there, but it's easier to hear the trivia questions if you're near a speaker 3. Grab a drink before trivia starts because there are only short breaks in between trivia rounds and the bar is packed on Wednesdays. Trivia is free to participate, but it is expected that you purchase a drink to play 4. Bring your own set of pens if you can! It's helpful to the trivia staff so they don't have to wrangle loose pens at the end of the night 5. Trivia is more fun with groups of 4+. The winning teams usually have 6-10 people 6. There are 5 total rounds of trivia with 10 questions each. For the 10th question, they play a music clip and you have to guess the name of the band/artist. As far as the place itself, ITAP has high top tables, a long bar, a couple of couches, and a nice patio area. The service is always as good as it can be when it's busy on trivia night. Expect to wait at the bar for a little while to place your order! There's a large selection of beers on tap & cans/bottles. For the non-beer drinkers, there's a fair selection of seltzers and canned cocktails as well. They don't serve food, but you can bring in your own food or snacks. read more

This place had all the qualities to be a cool drinking establishment...cool vibe, tons of beers on tap, soccer game on...but the bartender was a complete jerk. I mean, sorry we asked what beers you had on tap, but I'm not sure the condescending attitude was warranted... Colossal disappointment. read more

Done with work for the day but too early for dinner, I stopped here for beer and some wind-down time. ITAP is a large space with a good variety of beers available. Getting the list of current taps wasn't super easy but I managed to spot of local (well, Kansas City) hefeweizen that turned out to be quite tasty. There are power outlets at some of the tables so I was able to catch up on a few emails and pound out a couple of Yelp reviews before heading over to dinner. Located not far near the corner of Delmar and Skinker, parking was a beast. I was meeting up with a MeetUp group there and as soon as I stepped in, I was instantly overwhelmed by how crowded it was an also the weird smell (like sweaty men and booze). It was lots of college students (mostly males) there due to it being near Wash-U. I couldn't even find my MeetUp group right away so I went straight to the bar. The bartenders were on top of everything. It was only 2 of them against what seemed like a hundred patrons scattered throughout the venue. My friend joined me later and we chatted it up with the bartenders and ordered some none-Beer drinks. We had a Pink Tini, Disco Punch and Sam Smith's Organic Perry Cider. I may be biased because it is so close, but it's a great place for beer lovers. It seems like more and more places are reducing the number of taps they have, so this is a great option. Also an amazing, less bro-heavy place to watch football on Sundays. read more

On my most recent visit, the bartender came up to my friend and berated him in front of everyone for not tipping enough. Itap is such a solid place to grab a beer or drink! They have something for everyone, even if beer isn't your "thing." The staff is knowledgeable about what would fit with your particular taste and preferences. I am personally a seltzer gal and was really excited to see their choices they had available. 4hands Bomb Pop, anyone? I met a friend from out of town for happy hour and it was the right choice! We sat outside and the massive garage like doors were open to give it that fresh air vibe. There were several people inside playing games, watching sporting events, and catching up with one another. To me International Tap House, regardless of its location, is a mecca for all beer lovers. This new location in the Loop holds up the good name and continues its legacy of providing the best in craft beer. One of the best parts about this International Tap House location is its massive size. We were joining a fairly large group to celebrate the birthday of my dear friend, Steven Tyler Jodlowski, and International Tap House gave us the perfect venue to spread out to enjoy a few craft beers. The tap selection at International Tap House was so well curated, featuring craft beers for any palate to enjoy. I'm always overjoyed to find harder to find beers on draught at International Tap House. During this particular visit, I was so happy to see Cigar City's Jai Alai on the list as it's stellar when it's on draught. (An aside - draft or draught. Discuss.) The ambiance in International Tap House is always industrial chic. It's somewhere between a dive bar and an elevated cocktail lounge. I always find it's the perfect place to catch a sports game or catch up with friends. I never find their staff to be snobby beer drinkers, and they usually will help you find exactly what you're after. Can't praise the new International Tap House location enough! read more

last night was my first time trying the bar and I wasn't sure if it was a restaurant as well w a kitchen included or strictly just a bar so after asking the closing bartender a couple questions ab what liquor is offered he VERY rudely said in a snarky voice "we have beer, the bourbon on the wall, and whatever is on the chalkboard." didn't even bother to read us any specialities- give us a run down of popular items. If you've been to one iTap you've been to all. The only difference with this one is the furniture and the garage doors that open for the patio. Same overpriced craft beer as all the other locations, nothing special. Would I return? Not unless I moved closer to the area & there's plenty of other places with a good craft beer selection as this these days. After the Chesterfield and Central West End locations closed, I was extremely surprised to hear itap would be opening in the loop. Of course I'd have to go check it out. Itap usually offers a pretty solid draft list that satisfies even the snobbiest of beer snobs (which I am). A friend and I came I'm on a Tuesday night, about 6pm. The place was far from busy, but still a few people sitting at the bar and a few groups at tables so it wasn't completely dead. The space is beautiful. There is plenty of seating, including some pretty comfy looking couches. And they look to have a garage door that opens up for when the weather is nice. I was quite disappointed with the draft list. I'll again reiterate that I'm pretty snobby when it comes to beer. This is why when I go out for a drink, I usually stick to breweries and beer bars like itap. This location just didn't seem to have the higher end offerings that other locations have had most times I've gone in. The more disappointing thing to me was the service. There was only one person working which is confusing given the size of the space. Obviously Tuesday nights aren't likely to be super busy, but one bartender had a hard time being attentive to the small amount of people that were there in addition to having to try to bus tables (which didn't get done) after people left, and having to leave the bar to change kegs. read more

First time here. We came in during the first half of Super Bowl Sunday and easily found a table that could seat six directly in front of a flat screen TV. (There were only 2 of us.) Surprisingly, there wasn't that much activity at the bar but we didn't see any servers coming to tables to take orders, so my spouse ordered at the bar and brought his drink back to our table. Be warned that they do not serve food here, and, at least when we were there, were serving only beer, and actually, didn't "serve" anything, you had to fetch your drink yourself. It's a large space so we were disappointed in so many opportunities missed. My husband is a craft beer connoisseur, and even brews his own, but was sorely disappointed in their offerings. My friends and I attended Wednesday trivia night since it was free and conveniently close to our internship. The MC occasionally encouraged attendees to buy drinks between trivia rounds, but there was no house minimum or pay-to-play requirement. We were not being bothersome or taking tables away from paying customers since it was not busy. Before the last trivia round, the MC approached our table and began berating us for not buying more drinks, calling us "entitled" and yelling at us in front of the other guests. Despite having purchased a drink, I was told it was "not enough," and the berating continued for several minutes. The MC then made a comment over the microphone that "good trivia players buy drinks," clearly directed at us. All of us at the table were shocked that he, or anyone, would scold guests so brazenly. We believe he wouldn't have talked to someone his own size and age in the same way. If you're a trivia master or a college student looking to have fun, consider playing (and drinking) elsewhere. read more

When living in STL, I used to visit the Soulard location a lot. Times have changed and they have since moved that location and opened this up in the Loop. I really enjoyed the vibe and loved the patio that was right on the strip. It makes for great people watching, it has a bunch of TVs in your vicinity so you can catch the Cards game on the inside of the joint, and you are more than likely going to have no issue grabbing a table. We came on a Friday night, and got a table with little issue. Just keep in mind, you are going to have to go to the bar to get your drink because table service isn't a thing (it wasn't the night we went). They have a rotation selection of beers from all regions of the world hence why it is called International Tap House. It definitely holds true to its name, and there is something for everyone regardless if you are a beer drinker or not. They have other items as well like ciders and non-alcoholic beverages, though you will never catch me drinking an O'Doul's if I can help it. read more

i never ever write reviews but i am writing this one cause this man was absolutely terrible. first i wanna start by saying he served underage girls! secondly he was beyond rude, barely paid attention to us. as soon as we walked in @12:20 am he said last call was in 5 minutes then 15 minutes later continued to pour shots for other people sitting at the bar although the hours say they close @ 1 am. then he literally threw straws at us when we asked for them. i've never had terrible service like this before & he is someone that doesn't deserve a job in that industry to be honest. but the place is really nice, we were excited to be there until that guy opened his mouth. read more

I really really want to like this bar. Beer? Awesome. Craft cocktails? Delicious. The space? Nice. But I just stopped in and the bartender refused to wear a mask despite it currently being the law in the city of St. Louis where the bar is located. He told me that he's had COVID twice and he's been vaccinated so he doesn't feel like he needs to. He also said that unless an enforcement officer makes him he will not do it because it disrupts his interactions with customers and he's asthmatic. I don't like wearing a mask either, but I won't give money to an establishment that violates local public health orders in regards to COVID. Which is sad, because I really really want to make this my local bar. read more

Good beers, good location, good environment, terrible service. Specifically, bartender with floral shirt and cap working Sunday, May 22nd at 11:00 pm. Very rude and off-putting, something that I was initially willing to let pass because he was by himself working a Sunday at this time and/or maybe something happened to him. Then, I saw him be a decent human being to older customers. Yes, we are younger and college graduates (it is graduation weekend and there is a literal official graduation weekend promotion on the entrance), but we are not rowdy, loud, or rude. All of us had similar, individual experiences and they were all unprovoked. Honestly disappointed. Would have been one-star but this is the first time I experience this. I met the owner shortly after they opened and he was very nice and welcoming, even though we were young and (of age) college students. That is the only reason I'm giving two stars instead of one. read more
