Found this place and decided to stay here because of the one Yelp review posted, and it was a good decision. The room was clean and comfortable, no frills, about 58.00. I had the pleasure of meeting Pam, who was friendly and very helpful. Stayed here again three weeks later. Although the bathroom could use a towel rack and the shower head is kinda funky, it is still a good value. Pam was her usual friendly self and gave me a good rate which was nice since I was traveling solo.

Bed is shot

Bed was very uncomfortable and broken. People were friendly but hotel is low quality. Internet went in and out to the point I just stopped working on my computer.

This is what we were gifted with when we got to our room at Interstate 8 hotel in Lakeview

Highly suggest NOT ever booking at this hotel! Not only was the lady that checked us in not very friendly, when we got into our room there were beer bottles, bag of cereal and 1/2 empty water jug on the table. I call down to the office and tell the lady and she said "well my head house keeper inspected the room so it should be fine. I told her she can come up and look at it, her reply was "I can refund your full amount and you can go somewhere else". Then my daughter walked into the bathroom to find a dirty towel and the toilet looked as if it had urine in it, when I repeated that she just said "no that's the Lakeview water it's not urine"! I asked to be moved to another room and she said no. I asked for a discount and she said she'd refund us but we have to leave now then! Worst hotel I've ever stayed at

I've never written a review in my life but I'm so disgusted in this place I have to let people know. First off I reserved this double bed room a week in advance for 2 nights. They had no record of that. As soon as i got there the smell in the office was overwhelming. Dirty, sticky counters. Waking up the stairs there were garbage cans full of trash and beer bottles. When I got into the room my daughters complained of the smell. It smelled like tweakers had been smoking meth and weed for a week straight. Floors filthy. Had to take t.v remote to front desk to have batteries replaced. I let my 3 year old drink the water and she got so sick. I ran her a bath and the water was so grossly yellow I then knew why she was sick. They advertise Leni premium cable which is a lie. Free WiFi... A lie. Continental breakfast... A lie. The pictures They have on the website are not pictures of the actual rooms. I came back the 2nd day and my key wouldn't work. I again had to go down stairs and the lady said only paid for one night. She literally changed what I had wrote in my sign in paperto say what she wanted it to say. I am a pretty humble person and I would NEVER stay at this shit hole again.

Erica (pronounced more like a-REE-ka, she says it SO much prettier than I can) was amazing! She runs the front desk (I believe is an owner) and is so welcoming and helpful. I totally agree with Michele R's review, especially what she wrote about cultural differences and pride/care in ownership not being the same as bad attitude. I read her review before going and was thinking that I should just keep that in the back of my mind if I took something as a negative attitude (remember that it could definitely just be a cultural difference), but that time never came. Maybe it was because we strive to be respectful anyway, so our attitudes were not coming from a place of entitlement. Yes, there are signs up at different places stating some rules, but that is to protect their property as well as make everyone aware of what the rules are. I would much rather know what to do or not do than to get "in trouble" for doing something wrong or breaking something. This lovely hotel used to be a senior living center, but obviously a really nice one. There are not many options in this really small town and as far as I can tell, it is the best one. We have stayed at the Best Western in town and did not have any problems, but the Fremont Inn is now our favorite by far. We were in room 111 and it had a little kitchen area with a larger refrigerator than most hotel rooms, a microwave, desk, two large closets (one with built in shelves), a nice shower and short tub (with accessible bars, if needed), and a queen-size bed with lots of pillows. I also love the facts that the entire property is no smoking of any kind (Don't even try it! You will be fined... and I, for one, really appreciate that!), the room doors open into an interior hallway, and the entire property is all on the ground floor. Their lobby and dining area are so much nicer than you would expect in a small town hotel. We were there during the time that they are not serving a complementary breakfast, so I cannot speak to that, but I am sure it would be good. They do everything with a lot of care. I had trouble with my tv at first. I could not get it to turn on. Erica called over the housekeeper and they both came to my room to help me out. The housekeeper (sorry that I did not get her name) fixed it quickly, because a cord simply was a bit loose. Erica also showed me how to use the thermostat while she was there. I had not looked for it yet, so that was helpful. It is on the wall between the kitchen area and the rest of the room. This is just a peek at how they went above and beyond during our stay. I most definitely recommend the Fremont Inn.
