I purchased an Auto from this dealership in July 2022 and since then they have been avoiding, neglecting, and extending half-ass customer service towards Me. They have been reluctant with important information about the vehicle purchasing process, including not processing the DMV Registration properly and errors with the vehicle's Title. The dealership is selective on who they want to give great service to, in which is Very Unprofessional. Also, this dealership enjoys ignoring customer calls, messages, and emails upon retrieval, so beware if they're unresponsive. Overall, this dealership has Not made an effort to give Myself decent customer service, as their Intent is to give Me inadequate service. I will be reaching out to the FTC and BBB to file official civil complaints about this dealership's negative customer service treatment. Additionally, I will be starting a Civil case to sue this dealership for Intentional Mistreatment, Neglect, and Bad service. This will be proven in the court of law for Punitive damages. read more

Service is not the issue we have with Interstate Toyota. The issue we have is that our Toyota Tundra 2006 had a recall for the passenger side air bags since August 2015. We were advised that we should not have anyone in the front seat. We were able to deal with that. But when we reached out to the dealership for a loaner vehicle for our Christmas trip to Vermont they dealership could not accommodate our request, or as I see didn't want to help us out. We were asking for a similar vehicle for a loaner car, but they said they didn't have one. I call bullshit on them for that. They choose not to have one. Where there is a will there is a way and they didn't have the will. I would NEVER EVER buy a car from them EVER. The owner Steve wouldn't even take my calls. He had some flunky call me and said he'd try to help, never heard back from him. I say screw you Toyota - we are in the market to purchase a hybrid and a new truck as well. But we will be going to a Honda dealership for that. read more

Very disappointed in Interstate Toyota in Monsey, NY. Bought a car in November 2016 and now 4 months later still waiting for them to refund a $234 over charge on my title fees for the MVA. Toyota Corporation has an open case now. The NY State Attorney General's office advised me to file a consumer fraud complaint which is currently open. (Corolla) They walked me through everything and informed me all the options available and made some recommendations when I told them my financial situation which was useful. Customer service was great from what I experienced. They really engage with you to see what fits you based on what you tell them. Let them know if you are a military veteran. They had a rebate that was available towards your down payment. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars was during my first service after several months, I was very confused on what I had to do. I wish I got a little more guidance so I knew what was going on as a first time car owner but it wasn't a show stopper. It went smoothly and have no complaints about the service itself. read more

Awful customer service at the end of my lease. I leased a Toyota Sienna 3 years ago from Interstate Toyota, and the lease is now about to end. Very happy with the car. Interstate Toyota called me multiple times over the past few weeks to ostensibly sell me another car since the lease was expiring. I made it abundantly clear that I wished to purchase the existing car with cash. The salesperson, named Sofia, set up an appointment for me to come in. Before making the appointment, I inquired whether I needed to bring a check for the lease payoff amount (plus taxes, fees, etc.). Sofia told me no, just come in, it would take a short time to process the paperwork and they would bill me. That was either a bold-faced lie, or incompetent communication. I arrived on time. Sofia was not there - death in the family. They had me work with a salesperson who had been there 4 weeks, was unprepared, and kept telling me that he did not know what to do. He first tried to process a credit application as if I were financing the remaining portion of the lease, even thought I had told Sofia I planned to pay cash. I corrected him. He then filled out some other paperwork, submitted it to his finance person, and then we waited. And we waited some more. 20 minutes later, and only after I pushed the issue, did I learn that they had only one person capable on-site capable of processing the paperwork, and he was working with somebody else, and they could not tell me how long it would be. After about an hour of getting nowhere, I discussed my dissatisfaction with the process with the manager, Stephen Maldonado. He told me that Sofia was mistaken about how the process to purchase the car with cash worked. He told me that he had no idea how much longer I would have to wait. And he told me that I could have completed the whole process with Toyota Financial Services over the phone and by mail. I was furious, remarked what bad customer service I had just experienced, and walked out. As soon as I arrived home, I called Toyota Financial Services and within 15 minutes, they explained the process, which is simply that I fill out paperwork and send them a check, whereupon they complete the rest of the process and send me title to the car and arrange with my state Department of Motor Vehicles to send me an updated registration. All will be done via US mail and by phone. There was no need for me to visit the dealership. Interstate Toyota sucked me into their dealership to sell me something, not sure what, even though I made it crystal clear I just wanted to pay off the lease with cash. Will never go back to Interstate, and will be sure to tell this story to anyone I know who is thinking of leasing or buying a Toyota. Stay away from Interstate. read more

I have been a loyal customer at Interstate Toyota for many years. I am probably on my 7th or 8th Toyota for my extended family in the last 10 years. I walked into Toyota on Monday and was curious to see if they had any specials on the 2018 Corollas. I was greeted by a sales person by the name of Lindi Dacaj right outside the front entrance he said he was just finishing up with a customer but to have a seat and he would take care of me quickly. After a short conversation and asking me what I was looking for, he brought me a cup off coffee and said he would make the deal I was looking for happen. He was by far the most helpful and no non sense straight to the point salesman I have dealt with at any dealership. He gave me his personal cell number and we communicated back and forth until today which I picked up my 2018 Toyota Corolla. He is a great asset for this dealership and I will be using him for all my car needs in the future. I also had a very positive experience with GSM Fabio Kola and Finance manager Glen Reggio. If you need help with parts or service for your car, DON'T GO TO INTERSTATE TOYOTA! I called parts about a replacement key. He couldn't answer my questions & transferred me to service. He didn't know if the company he works for has a lost & found. When I was transferred to service I was placed on hold for 10 minutes & no one came back to the phone. I called back spoke with the receptionist she transferred me to Ivanna, who in turn transferred me back to parts who in turn transferred me back to service. Ivanna yelled at me so I asked to speak with a manager. No one came to the phone. I called back & spoke with the receptionist. I asked to speak with a manager as she wanted to know why. When I told her she states, "Ivanna doesn't yell" well I was finally transferred to the manager named Steve who was less than understanding. He didn't apologize for anything. Customer service was definitely not his priority. While speaking with Ivanna other workers in the background were laughing. What a terrible experience. Toyota Owners, take your business elsewhere where you will be treated with respect. read more

FALSE ADVERTISING!! This dealership is running bait and switch! They post stock photos of different model used cars on their website and get you to come in only for them to tell you "we don't have the exact car in the photo". Their descriptions have the right model information but the photos are models with different more expensive features! And of course they play dumb when you come in. They try and lore you in. They called me 9 DAYS later telling me that they could not offer me the deal that was originally told to me. Who does that??? I returned the car and got the same model car for an even better deal that was promised to me at Major World in Long Island City, New York. i paid far too much for my new Toyota Rav4 because I was tricked by the finance person whose name is Eric. We had a great conversation about "books" and I made several recommendations which he eagerly jotted down on a scrap of paper. I left cordially after not wanting to purchase any warranties from Eric. I got a call from him several days later asking me to stop by his office. He told me there had been a computer "glitch" the day I bought my car and I just needed to sign some papers to straighten it all out. I trusted him due to our previous conversations. It ended up that I am now paying about $25 more on my monthly payments. A couple of weeks after signing the new papers I received a notice thanking me for signing up for free care/maintenance for the next two years. It was my understanding that that was a freebee when you bought this car. I believe that the additional costs accounted for this "new" service. Do not wear a good shirt if you are going to deal with Eric because you will leave without it. read more

They don't have all the services that the mega dealerships have, but they get the job done and most important you can get an appointment with them at the last minute and they are open on Sunday. To be perfectly honest, I could have traded in my Fusion at a Ford dealership and had all of the over-mileage written off, but it was the experience here that sold me. My salesperson, Lindi, knew immediately I wasn't thrilled with the Rav-4 I originally went in to test drive and without being pushy or aggressive, showed me the re-designed 2018 Camry and I fell in love! They treated me like family there....incredibly kind, offering me a beverage as soon as I walked in, giving me space to make a final decision, and even helping me move all of my things over from my trade-in after pairing my phone and going over all the features with me.
