I never got a chance to see him. But I heard he was one of the best doctors in person to meet. Very helpful very direct into the point. And that's what I like in a doctor. The type of car he was giving was legit. One of the best doctors in the country Dr. John B Kelly. Said that it was an absolute scam to what they were doing to this guy. Like Dr. Kelly said The countries in a terrible way of putting politics into medical procedures. Listen if you go in there with serious back pain in there is an issue that they can prove. There's nothing wrong with the way that they prescribe medicine. I will also add that when speaking with Dr. Kelly he said that pain doctors are running scared right now. Afraid of losing everything they've got due to the system telling them back in the late 90s early 2000s that the pain medication that they were prescribing was perfectly fine. Think about this for a minute you have an actor on TV called friends. Matthew Perry right in a book that he took 55 Vicodin a day and he did not die from that. He died from other stuff that was going on later in his life but he did not die of 55 Vikings a day but yet people say that if you're not careful you will die instantly by taking two pills. Not true! Not at all! The people that are dying in this country are dying from the fentanyl coming across the border. That is not closed and just open to all kinds of stuff being brought into our country and given to our kids. I mean they're even dressing fentanyl up to look like skittles the candy. This is insane. I am a person that is in legit pain and have been for over 20 years have had eight epidurals and over 100 different x-rays and MRIs. I have without a doubt reasons that I need to be on some type of medication each day to help me get through. I am not living life right now I'm a 59-year-old male who worked in construction all my life. Who is finding it very hard to even play with his grandson. My doctor retired the first month into Covid. Now mind you he is around my age maybe a little older. But it has been my doctor for the last 25 years plus. Trusting him with my life just like I trusted Dr. Kelly with my life. Soon as I left the family practice center at Saint Elizabeth I have been taken off all my medication and have not found a doctor yet to prescribe medication. I know Dr. Kelly personally. And it's a shame to what has happened to Dr. Hanson. I really do wish you the best. I hope you fight them to the end and get everything you deserve. This is ridiculous what this country is doing to people like myself. Taking them off of their pain medication. Telling them basically to go to the street to buy whatever. I call the USA of Hitler ism they don't need to build concentration camps they just need to take people off their pills and tell them to go to the street. It's killing everybody anyway. But absolutely no one from Christ Hospital to UC doctors to private doctors I cannot get any help at all to get back on my prescribed medication. Facts and figures are so wrong about the opiate so-called crisis. It's all made up. It's made up by big Pharma companies. Let me start off by saying that I apologize to anyone that this review might hurt. It's not meant to. It's meant to inform you to the fact that doctors are not writing any type of pain medication at all to people that need it. Offering use Suboxone. That does not even have any pain in it. Offering methadone which is more likely to get you hooked on the medication than even an opiate does. I have went down this rabbit hole way too many times finding out things that I probably shouldn't know especially that with doctors that are writing medication's. That I have went to and ask them to help me but they said they will not. But I think it's crazy that those same doctors are putting the medication on the streets to be sold. hey Doc I really do wish you the best I hope someday you get your practice back and you're able to have that satisfaction of knowing that you are out there helping people. This place is nothing but a pill mill so much in fact the only Dr on staff, all others quit, is the owner who lost his license several times and had to go to court to temporarily have it reinstated he got caught filling prescriptions for his staff , if you have legitimate pain issues find other alternatives because this office will get you hooked on drugs then drop you when he loses his license AGAIN I know because it happened to me they prescribed me pain medication then when I was good and hooked they told me to find another doctor because the dr was under indictment I went through withdrawals cold turkey which was horrible so please heed my warning and stay away from this drug dealer read more

The thing I like about this place is that it doesn't feel like a pill factory. The doctor actually spent more than 5 minutes with me, and his nurses are extremely knowledgable. In fact, most of my time was spent with the nurse, but she was very well trained! I was very interested in how pain works, and she explained the relationship of neurotransmitters and different pathways very clearly. They approach pain with a conservative outlook, using as many non-narcotic options as possible. If narcotics are needed, they will use the lowest dose possible instead of loading you up like a junkie. They also have some really neat "latest" methods of pain management, such as the BuTrans patch, which has changed my life. I am so happy to be able to work and move without pain! read more

Since day one of my auto accident all I want to do is be able to work again thanks to Shawn and dr. Having had a discography years ago by another doctor, I was very apprehensive of having this test redone again, due to the great level of pain it caused me. However, the test is necessary to measure the level of disc deterioration, which identifies how to proceed with treatment. Dr. Kendall E Hansen and his team are wonderful!! I have been going to IPS for five years- after I had a spinal fusion that left me in excruciating pain. I have had great success maintaining my mobility with their care. I have issues lower back and upper cause of an elevator accident, I have NEVER changed Drs till they retired or staff changed. But in 23 yrs I did manage to keep Lisa.I brought my 85 yr. mom with me and she left weeping cause she was so happy to see someone actually cared about me. And concerned with my well-being. I can mention other's that really show kindness, empathy for me. Jo. She works back with Lisa. Then you have the girls on the other side they work with Dr Hansen, the one's I know are Bonnie and Pam. Always explaining in detail, funny, caring personable and great with there positions. Because of having many issues I have lower and upper issues, so at the moment I have Dr Hansen. 5 star. I have a hard time finding doc's that I like and that they care. He is one that does care. It's so refreshing to have so many levels of ppl that have so much experience and want to help me. After referral and initial call I was called back the next day. I was told there was a cancellation and I could get that appointment if I could get there in a couple hours. When I got there they had some paperwork for me to fill out, of course outlining my responsibility to ensure payment. I returned to the front desk and asked about pricing and treatment options and was told I'd have to wait and see a doctor and that those issues would be determined after examination. The paperwork also asked me how important it was for me to get medication for my pain treatment. I was to circle a number to express that importance, I circled the number to represent very important. When I got back to the examination room the nurse that escorted me back there talked minimally and after digging her thumbs into my lower back explained that they do spinal injections there and offer no medication as treatment. I told her I was not interested in multiple and expensive, non FDA approved and possibly dangerous spinal injections. She told me that was all they do there and asked if I wanted to see the doctor. I had driven an hour and a half to get there and had another hour and a half drive home. I made the trip to see a doctor. When the doctor showed up he barely passed the opening of the door just long enough to introduce himself to shake my hand and then returned to the threshold of the door where he stood and leaned for the very short duration of our conversation. He didn't examine me at all. He told me they only offered spinal injections there. There was a poster on the wall that proclaimed drug free pain relief. I asked the doctor if he drank coffee and he told me he drank lots of coffee. I then commented on the drug free pain relief and how that might work since they didn't offer any medications for me but the doctors who will be injecting my spine are getting all hopped up on caffeine prior to administering these procedures. He replied referencing the new KY laws (HB1) and how it Really ties his hands as to treatment he can offer. Sounds like a one sided drug free situation that is bias toward the doctor who needs to have the study hands to administer the steroid (drug) through injection to a precise location in my spine. The doctor talked to me for maybe 5 minutes if that. A day before I received their bill I got a letter that invited me back to an "after office hours meeting to explain a couple procedures we may have not told you were available, and that can very likely help you"..., "pain interventions you may have missed". I was there seeking pain relief, I didn't miss, Interventional Pain Specialists missed. They could have spent another 5 minutes explaining these options while I was there. They billed me for a half hour visit but I was not in there office being examined or treated for a half hour. I was probably in there by myself waiting for as long a time as I spoke to anyone there. They billed me hundreds of dollars. This felt like an extreme waste of time and money on my part. It seemed very much like a bait and switch. Hurry over and fill our vacant time slot, tell us how important it is for you to get medications (drugs) for your pain, ask and we'll continue to deceive, and now you owe us hundreds of dollars, but we have done nothing for your pain and couldn't even take the time to tell you about all the options we might offer.
