Now this tour may not be for everyone, as the title of the tour alludes to.. but if you don't mind the random swear word and aren't easily offended, you'll be like me... cracking up for 3 hours straight. But I am not a huge fan of arancini and this one had peas in it... also something I am not a huge fan.... But hey, I was on a food tour so I was going to try everything! Thank goodness I did, because this arancini was the stuff of dreams. How in the world could something be THAT much better than what high end Italian restaurants advertise? The last time I had an arancini ball was at a restaurant in Hawaii that won "best Italian food in Hawaii".... And it was only so-so. This arancini ball would make me fly 5,000 just to eat it again! Next up was a deli sub, a coffee shop, ravioli, a pastry shop and lastly an affogato (or gelato if you didn't want coffee that late in the day). Based on the food I received, before factoring in all the stories that Anthony shared, I feel the tour was really underpriced. I wish I hadn't done this the tour on my last day, I would have gone back for another round of everything we tried, as well as everything that was recommended. Here is what we ate on our tour: Baked beans and brown bread, clam chowder, a lobster roll, and Boston cream pie. All of the places we experienced these foods had a unique history of their own. Our favorite was the clam chowder. The lobster roll was stuffed with lobster and came with fries. The beans were heavy on molasses, and the Boston cream pie was okay...not what we thought it was going to be. But it sure was pretty! We highly recommend this tour if you visit Boston. We lucked out with a very amicable group. We went to 4 different spots. They made a point (a few times) to highlight local businesses which was great. The tour was designed around going from the earliest history of donuts to the future of donuts, plus a side bar on churros. The tour was very short and the only feedback I would give for improvement would be to include a bit more walking between stops, although I get that the shops are all very close together, it would have been good to have a bit of time to digest. And I would recommend bringing water/a drink to wash down all the donuts. The cost was about $48 after fees and we got a good amount of donuts samples plus a Greek coffee. A couple of the businesses also brought some nice treats for the people on our tours whose birthday it was which made it extra special. This was a really nice way to explore some local businesses, eat really delicious donuts, and learn a bit about the history of the donut. Overall I would recommend.

The food on this tour was excellent and there was a LOT of it. Last summer I remember feeling satisfied. This summer I was full. We have already made plans to do the Colonial food tour next summer.
