Our guides were knowledgeable, good humored, had answers to all of our questions, and were generally very personable. The tour did not consist of Kennedy worship as I worried, so much as it gave an excellent narrative of Boston's political sea change in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The guides were fair, sometimes praising and sometimes critical, but at all times well informed of their subject matter. If you've got an extra two hours at 11:30 on a Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday, I would definitely recommend this tour.

The tour guide was Liam and was extremely knowledgeable about American history. There were 18 people on the tour from age 10 to senior citizens. He had to speak very loudly as there were lots of visitors to Boston given that it was Juneteenth holiday and FIFA Soccer fans were all over the place. I learned a lot and absolutely recommend this tour. In the afternoon, we went on another excellent 90 minute Boston by Foot tour "Black Voices: Writers for a 19th Century Revolution" which I highly recommend. The tour guide (can't remember her name) was expertly prepared with snippets for tour attendees to read out loud (if you wanted to) from each writer discussed. Then, she put the reading in context with Boston and African American history and the site we stopped at on Beacon Hill. I learned a lot on this tour and live in the Boston area. There is a lot of walking up and down tiny streets so wear comfortable walking shoes!

Truly in Awesome how the crew is committed! The Spirit of Adventure must be overwhelming! Continuing my tour of the remaining Ships I did not get to board on Sunday today was the day! I took photos, chatted with guest who traveled far and near and shared conversations! My First stop after ( B.A.P. "UNIÓN" ) PERU TALL SHIP.....this day was The Tall Ship - ESMERALDA From Chile - The Special Cadet on Duty guarding the on board embarkation plank - gangway! Was instrumental in guiding and helping me! I took his photo to commemorate being on board this Tall Ship ESMERALDA. Thank you....We are Proud of you! I took my time and absorbed as much as I can by reading and photographing! I wanted to document this Historic Event! After my Ship hopping I went to the Official Sail Boston Merchandise and walked all around even going on the Ferris Wheel that was at the Event! But! Tonight at 9:15 would be the culmination of SAIL BOSTON 250, with FIREWORKS! As an end of this Event! I had the perfect viewing experience! FIREWORKS was such a nice touch! A little history, for over 30 years, Sail Boston has been the Host of over 500 International Tall Ships and Vessels and other coastal communities. BOSTON, was the Final Port to Host Sail Boston 250 International Fleet! From New Orleans, Norfolk , Baltimore, and the 4th of July Celebration in NEW YORK. Nabil was incredibly accommodating, friendly, and very knowledgeable about Boston's history and food culture. We had a little trouble locating the starting point because the street sign had a different name than what appeared on my map. However, if you find the Registry of Motor Vehicles, you're in the right place! We started at a very interesting bread company, where we got to try some delicious breads and learn about the history of this unique bakery and its bread-making traditions. From there, we stopped at a local deli for a sandwich and then made our way to a pizza shop for a slice of cheese pizza. The pizza was delicious and had such a nostalgic, old-fashioned feel to it. The day we went was extremely hot, but Nabil was very thoughtful and made sure to bring us to shaded areas whenever possible, which we really appreciated. Our last stop was at a wonderful coffee house and pastry shop, where we enjoyed a cappuccino and a cannoli. Both were very good and were the perfect way to finish the tour. Along the way, we visited many historical sites and learned so much about Boston's history. Nabil did a great job bringing everything to life while making the tour fun and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking for a great combination of delicious food, fascinating history, and a knowledgeable guide. We had a group of 4 and everyone Loved the tour. My family has been coming to Salem for the last Ten years , and we have done many tours throughout the years . This tour was refreshing and different than the other tours. They brought up many new historical points of interest. We would highly recommend it. The group size was limited , unlike other tours in Salem which sometimes have 40 or 50 people. I felt it was very personal and interactive. Well worth the ticket price .

My tour guide was Michael, who is a retired professor of history and has a delivery of Harvey Keitel mixed with a comedian. His knowledge and wit, combined with really wanting you to know the real story, made for such an amazing experience. But nature called for me about one hour into the tour, and when I returned I could not find the tour group. Not Michaels fault, it was mine because I thought I could quickly go to the restroom and regroup with the tour. And I tried to find them for 20 minutes, but to no avail. I found other tour guides, but I could tell that they weren't nearly as good as Michael. So I took a risk. There was a later tour that was starting in one hour, and I returned HOPING that Michael was the guide . If it wasn't , I was going to blow the whole thing off. Michael indeed was the tour guide for the later tour, and I was able to finish his tour. I highly suggest this company, and Michael!

He did not disappoint. He have both popular myths and facts. He engaged us all and had lots of jokes. I don't think I could have enjoyed it more. What I liked most was that he ended every location with: "Does anybody have any questions?" I wholeheartedly suggest you go on this tour and learn why Paul Revere did not say: "The British are coming"
