I had previously used a different Massage Therapist after a prior surgical procedure, but was looking for a different experience. From my first contact (by phone) with the team at B-Well, I knew that this would be a good match for me. At my first appointment, I met Kris, the owner at B-Well, who greeted me warmly and put me at ease. She is pleasant and clearly concerned about providing a good therapy experience for her clients and for her staff. She spoke with me about the massage experience and wanted to make sure that my treatments were helpful in my recovery. The waiting area is extremely clean and bright. The staff at the reception desk (when Kris isn't the person there) are also welcoming and friendly. The treatment room is comfortable and relaxing. Even though the office is right on Montauk Highway, you don't hear road noise, there are sound machines to damper external noise distractions and the treatment bed is heated before you begin your session. Truly nice touches. My therapist, Tasha, is excellent! While the therapist at my last massage facility was good, Tasha is so much more attentive and attuned to my treatment. We speak prior to each treatment to discuss any issues that I have at that particular time so that she can focus on those area(s) during the session. During each session Tasha "checks in" with me to make sure that I am comfortable and that her treatment is helpful. She has strong hands, the pressure she applies is firm but never painful - even when focusing on the area where the surgery was. During my treatment she is engaging and a truly interesting person to talk with. That said, during both sessions I've had with Tasha, there are times where I was so relaxed that I felt myself falling asleep. Truly excellent! I appreciate that my insurance covers medical massage but I have no doubt that I'll continue with B-Well Massage Therapy even after my insurance benefits end.
