Last night was my very first visit to Shanghai Spa. I went in with the intention of getting a foot massage to relieve some arch pain in my feet, which I tend to get every now and then. I got a 1 hour massage for $40 by Jenny. She was incredible. Very thorough and somehow found every ache on the soles of my feet. She worked with such determination that when she was finished, my pain was all gone, and I was so relaxed. Look forward to returning and highly recommend. read more

Literally the best little massage place for a quick trip to relaxation. The massage techs here are so knowledgeable. I have had at least 10 massages here and have never left feeling like my problem areas were not addressed or like I was unhappy. There is always someone available. Super low key massage parlor, came here for my birthday after seeing the great yelp reviews! $50 for an hour full body massage?! Where can you beat that?? It's advertised as a back massage but they work your back, legs (front and back) feet and head and it even includes HOT STONES! The woman that owns it is super sweet and gave a wonderful massage, I had a few painful spots on my back that if I so much touch it, sends me through the roof in pain. I made sure to let my masseuse know (THIS IS SO IMPORTANT TO TELL THEM!) And I'm so glad I did, she told me she had a "special medicine" and asked if it was okay if she worked it into those spots on my back, I was a little worried but said yes. She slowly and gently worked it into my sore spots, over time applying a little more pressure and I swear to you- NO PAIN, it was absolutely amazing! It's a small, clean and pretty quiet place. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was when someone would enter the shop the masseuse left my room for a moment to check them in which sort of took me out of my mini-nap state lol. 100% will revisit and next time will try their foot massages! read more

I had to write another review because I can't say enough about Lucy and Lili. This is a foot spa like no other. They are trained in China as massage therapist and speak English. They are both vaccinated wear masks and rooms are clean and sanitized after each massage. I have had many experiences at foot spas where the masseuse does not speak English and can't communicate with you. I go there on a regular basis due to chronic pain. They are professional, caring , friendly and give amazing massages with stretching. If you have driven on 109 in Farmingdale you probably drove past and never noticed it. Where can you get a professional deep tissue 2 hour massage for $90 + tip? I'M SO HAPPY I FOUND SHANGHAI SPA FOR THE MEN who are thinking about asking for a happy ending . DONT! The best massage ever. Lucy is my go to. She's the best. Been to so many massage places and usually ask for a guy masseuse but she's super strong. She also stretches you out. Their prices are the same or a bit more but it's so worth it. They offer you either tea or a bottle of water on your way out after an hour massage. Don't think I can go anywhere else bcos I'll just be disappointed. They have heated and padded tables. Everything here is super clean. They do massage your butt but you can ask that they don't. Can't wait to go back. Most of these places expect a good tip but it's worth it. They haven't asked but they deserve it. They are kind and caring about how you feel. Honestly it's a hidden gem. I have been to the Bethpage location a total of three times. The first two times, I had to wait an additional 15 - 30 minutes past my appointment time. Fine... it happens. Today, I go in for my 11:00 AM appointment (Bethpage location) to be told I'd have to go to the Farmingdale location or come back at a later time as no one was available. Tottally understandable if I walked in, but I had an appointment!!!!! I was given a refund for my gift certificate, as requested. However, needless to say, I will not be returning. read more

The most amazing massage I've ever had in my life. I came here in desperation after my usual massage therapist cancelled on me for the second week in a row. I just needed someone to work on the knots in my shoulders. Well let me tell you... Lucy did just that! And more! I told her I wanted deep pressure and she hit every spot just right. Not only that, but she used hot stones, stretched my legs and arms, cracked my back, and rubbed my head and scalp. Truly amazing. She was so sweet! And you can't beat the price. $50 for an hour massage. Needless to say, I will be leaving my commercial massage spa and becoming a regular at Shangai Foot Spa. (DISCLAIMER- she was answering phone calls and talking to her colleague throughout the entire massage. I went here at the advice of a friend and saw great reviews. I was so disappointed all Lucy did was talk on phone, talk to coworkers, take phone calls, call people back and attend to walk ins all while massaging me. 2 walk ins with no appointment came in and she asked to cut my one hour full body appointment to 1/2 hour to attend to them and send me on my way. By this time I was frustrated because of the constant stopping and talking that I wanted to leave anyway. She finished with hot stones, with no warning they were ridiculously hot and said they are not hot they are only 75 degrees those things are never 75 degrees. She tried to make it all better by saying she gave me 40 minutes for the price of 30 minutes. What I wanted was my full body for a hour in a relaxing environment and what I got was a back massage that was constantly interrupted. I don't think she thought then how disappointed I was and later texted me with a free 30 minute beauty treatment, who would want to come back? I'm sure most have had a great experience and I'm sure there's good days but as far as my first experience it was terrible. read more

I've been to Shanghai once before and had a decent experience, so i figured I would come back and try it out again. Safe to say I will not be returning. The environment itself was so unrelaxing and they were playing a loud children's TV show for the first half of my massage. My massage was also rudely interrupted by the woman at the front desk walking into my room unannounced to ask me what my phone number was. Complete violation of privacy and unacceptable in my book. read more

I came to NY for a business trip with my coworker and needed massage badly due to stress. We didn't know anywhere to go just so I just simply found this massage place from Yelp reviews. I can't say enough words about Lucy. She is such a wonderful lady and full of positive energy. She is really good of what she does. I had a neck and shoulder tightness and she really knows how to work on my tight muscle. I have done tons of massages in the past and she is definitely one of the best. Lucy was fantastic. She stretched me out very good and worked on my sciatic are very well. For someone with chronic back pain and sciatic pain, it was perfect for me.
