She never really connected with anyone who had passed and was connected with me. She asked general questions that led her to know who had passed in my life, with a clear intent to just fill the time, but never really came up with anyone directly attached to me who had passed. Questions like "was there somewhere you and your husband liked to go to dinner". Of course there was - we were together 32 years! Her response to that was, he is telling me that he wants you to take your kids there'. She also filled the time by giving me advice I was not seeking. I asked her if she could tell me what my husband felt about my job at the time. In return she asked me if I was unhappy there and once I said yes, she asked if I can quit. Then all she told me was that if I'm unhappy I should seek another job, and/or control the situation at my job to be what I wanted it to be, so that it isn't so unhappy. Well, that's obvious, but I wasn't seeking her advice on the obvious, I wanted to know if my husband had anything to say about it. She also kept telling me how I should feel or act about who passed and how I should be treating my children concerning it (more like parenting advice), not what spirits were saying. Now that I have re-listening to my recording, I would say she did not perform any amazing connections with anyone, nor give me any information about my husband that I was seeking. It was all generalizations. At one point (after taking 45 mins to realize my husband was the one I was wanting to hear from), she asked me if his passing was sudden. When I said no, she kept trying to tell me that my husband was indicating it was sudden, and that I must not be undertanding what he meant but maybe in years to come I would. Huh? He had cancer and suffered for 26 months with it, which ended in Hospice care for 2 weeks. Nothing sudden about it at all. So her comments made no sense now that I hear it again. I believe in mediumship and psychics, but am now wondering if my grief 10 years ago clouded my view and feelings about her session. It is pretty clear now that I hear it again, without desparately needing to hear from my husband, that she didn't really perform any mediumship or psychic connections during our session.

She then used a very specific metaphor (i.e. "it's almost like..."). Except that it was not "almost like"; it was, indeed, the exact topical framework I had chosen for my thesis the week before. Until Kelly, only my professor and my mentor had been aware of it. Fairly, I cannot guarantee that anyone else will have this experience. I chose Kelly very deliberately based on the feeling that I would know immediately what was up and went in with specific intentions to check against. Kelly very quickly passed my test (in my defense, aren't we all being tested?) and we wound up having an excellent and encouraging session, for which I am now grateful.
