My happy place. This is my favorite yoga studio. I am grateful for finding Toosdhi. At the end of our first class, I felt a shift and I heard myself with gratitude, say "thank you". I have tried everything but nothing was clicking or made sense or felt like it was beneficial. I learned finally "why yoga". There are so many variations. In this short time, I truly feel the difference. I haven't been consistent with going before, until now. Each class ends with Toosdhi providing sound healing and wow, she is a delight to hear. I took the transformative breath work class with Abe. I had never taken one before but figured I'd give it a go. The space that this owner has created is really beautiful especially in such a weird little space of OB. The instructor had the room fully prepared with mats and blankets and gave a thorough introduction on what the class was, what we may experience, and ensured consent. I don't really know how to explain it other than, it made me want to go back and try other options from this studio. It was something different, something beautiful, healing, and calming. This place is unprofessional and cancels events last minute, Don't plan on going to any of their events or workshops unless you are OK with them being canceled on you last minute. I purchased a rather expensive ($120) massage workshop, and put great effort in to get a babysitter so my wife and I could attend. I was super excited. Also the workshop was on my birthday and a birthday present to myself.... five hours before the workshop is suppose to start I get a text message that the event is canceled because of low attendance... i've gone to so many yoga workshops and none of them have been canceled because of low attendance. So I was left with nothing to do on my birthday. we spent the entire week trying to get a babysitter, That we then had to cancel on. This place has no respect for your time Or event attendees. I wouldn't make any great effort to attend any of their workshops or event events. Honestly, the thing that just sucks is I was left with nothing to do on my birthday and I could've been doing so many other things And the last-minute cancellation sketchy. read more

I just started practicing yoga again after a many year hiatus and I was pretty nervous going in because I don't remember all the poses. I shouldn't have worried every class I have done the teachers have gone above and beyond to offer suggestions if a certain pose doesn't work. When you walk in the door you are greeted by the by the most positive afirming teacher. When you walk into the bright and airy studio the teachers mat is set up with what you will need for your class. It's the little things like this that some people just don't notice that I do. I have attended five classes this week and all of them were approachable. Nothing was too difficult. It was just right. I always feel that a yoga studio should feel like a sacred space and not gimmicky like some unnamed corporate entities. There are no buz words. No corporate culture. Just good old honest yoga done by the nicest and most unassuming women I have ever met. Right now I am doing the discounted one month trial and hope that I can find a way to continue with classes after that. This is a truly special place that I was so fortunate to find. I've gone a few times to try their various sound baths. Some classes were great, others not so much. I personally prefer smaller classes so there are fewer distractions as people settle themselves throughout the class. I understand movement, sneezes, coughs, etc. But every class I've gone to has been pretty full and inevitably someone starts snoring loudly. I'm not sure if there is anything the instructor can do about that -- maybe this is one of those existential annoyances meditation is supposed to help me overcome -- but I find it really detracts from the overall experience when I am there to find peace from my other anxieties! read more

Instructor Melissa was knowledgeable and her warm personality made for a class with a relaxed vibe - exactly what I needed. Another yogi told me this is the best yoga studio in the area and I am not surprised. It is beautiful, relaxed, stylish and has an inspiring and positive look to it. They sell crystals and candles and jewelry at reasonable prices for a place as nice and polished as this. If I lived in San Diego this would be my spot. You have to go! read more

I absolutely love the name of this studio. When I came across it on my online yoga membership for National classes (ClassPass), I immediately thought it sounded beautiful and soothing. I attended a Yin class online with Laurence. It was truly just a wonderful class from the moment it started until it ended. Laurence also has a beautiful French accent, and I found her voice so relaxing. Her teaching style really resonated with me. I felt amazing after class! This studio really knows what they're doing when it comes to livestream classes. They have an automated email system so you can always count on them to communicate the link in time (unlike a lot of places, where you sign up for live streams and they forget). Their schedule is huge and it looks like they have a Yin or Restorative class every night. I can't wait to come back and already booked my next class! read more

I had such a beautiful experience here last week. My normal go-to studio is right around the corner from me, so it takes a lot to venture out and try new studios, but I love when I do, and enjoy the new experience! The location is convenient for downtown, right in Banker's Hill. I parked 1/3 of a mile away on a side street with no meters, but if you don't mind feeding the meter there's parking right in front. You walk up a flight of stairs, and enter through the lobby, which has some pretty jewelry and yoga clothes etc. The woman at the check-in was super sweet, and the instructor was there to greet us as well, he was super energetic. We left our shoes in the cubbies, and setup our mats inside. The studio is a nice size, not too big, and the class we were in seemed to have the perfect amount of people/space (probably about 12 people). I absolutely loved the flow that we did. It had a lot of balances in the flow, which was really different from anything I've done before. It was challenging, but not too challenging! read more

The experience has been very healing for my mental health. I signed up for the unlimited package and have been coming as often as possible. I haven't perfected the art of meditation yet, but coming here has allowed me to sit in my thoughts, allow them to exist, acknowledge them and let them be. A group of awesome wellness specialists have found each other and converged into this new space in Banker's Hill. A Fire Station! I love that! They offer different modalities to improve your health and well being. I've gotten to work with a few of them now and I am thankful the universe and Spirit has put these people in my path of healing. They have workshops, Pop ups, Massage, Reiki, Zoga, Yoga, Meditation and more. I've never felt like a patient or student here. They've always made me feel a part of their community family. It's not often I meet someone and feel so comfortable and safe to fully open up 100% within 5 minutes and voice whatever I need to say unfiltered. I appreciate their integrity and peaceful vibe. It's been a few months now that I've been anticipating their grand opening. It's still a soft opening as of today and writing this review. For the month of August they offered free classes to try out. The Yoga studio space is beautiful. Exposed brick with light wood sprinkled with plants and Ganesh. The blankets and blocks are all new. I like the feel of their bolsters. They feel velvety and new. I got a little tour of all the rooms. The entire place just has good energy flowing throughout. In a few short weeks the official grand opening will take place. When you enter the Fire house go upstairs and place your shoes in a cubby hole. Check in at the lobby. They have a water cooler, seating and lots of cool items to aid in your wellness. So happy the public can experience them. Don't come to this place or don't take classes with Suzanne Lederer. My partner and I came with my service dog and after paying, sitting and setting up we were told by the instructor that trained service dogs weren't allowed and so i could not take the class. My partner who is a 200 hr yoga teacher, PhD in clinical psychology specifically trained in trauma, and Reiki master knows very well how inappropriate and VERY discriminatory it is that someone would just assume that a trained service dog who has been exposed to dozen of yoga, meditation, breathing, reiki classes would get disregulated and cause any type of harm to anyone. I'm diagnosed with PTSD and I know extremely well how well behaved and peaceful she is. Even under 'stresful' circumstances as she said. It is very dissapointing for someone who supposedly embodies a spiritual path to be this discriminatory and ignorant by also create conflict and in front of everybody claim that a service dog would create trauma for other. There is a reason I have a service dog and she already triggered some of my traumas. Before we were discriminated on and unfortunately kicked out, we were able to talk to some of the people in the class. It was apparent that the teacher does not know what proper Dirgha Shvasam(or Dirgha Pranayama) is. 3 part breathing is done through the nose and NOT through the mouth as they advertised on the website and what the students said. We were also surprised the students did not know what the proper way should be, they thought that three part breathing is through the mouth and is not considered pranayama. Please be aware that this is very dangerous. We have reported the studio and Suzanne Lederer to the ADA as they have broken the federal law by asking us to leave. My dog did nothing wrong as she was only laying down waiting for the class to start. If at any point she had misbehaved I would have gladly gone out by myself but they did not even attempt to ask us how she would do in the class. Please don't support places that discriminate disabled people and do not embody core values of yoga, meditation, and general human decency. read more
