It was the most comically bad massage. I was put in a room for a couples massage, it was cold with…read moreno heated bed, the beds face plate was hard and firm so they had a pillow over it that did not stay in the right place. The masseuse asked me what hurt, assuming she was asking about problem areas, I told her about my neck and shoulders. She proceeded to crawl onto the table for the first part of the massage and push into different points of my body. Then massaged through the sheet for some time. The massage had no flow to it, there would be moments of softness but it was choppy. I have never had to say something hurt but several times I had to tell her that hurts and she told me sometimes it gets better after the hurt. She went and spent 5 minutes heating up stones mid massage in the microwave. I could hear it dinging. After using them on me she left them on my back and they kept sliding off while she was doing other things and even fell on the floor. At one point she put my arms up hands behind my head and lifted my upper torso among other PT feeling moves. It was just so bizarre- not any Swedish massage I'm used to. Not at all relaxing and I was patiently waiting for it to end. I am not convinced the worker had a license and for $150 I expect a lot more quality.

Visited the Waukee location this time. I booked with Summer again but arrived too early so I…read morethought to check in and see if she was open. She wasn't but I was told I could go early with Jennifer and so glad I did. She is just as great as Summer was last time, maybe better. The room was comfortably warm, dimly lit and nice music level. I asked Jennifer if she massaged as hard as Summer for the deep tissue and she seemed reluctant but she was so strong and a real trooper. She hit all of my sore spots that caused me to come in with precision. I think I fell asleep three times. The stretching at the end got my back popped a few times and my neck once though that was not on purpose. I am glad to have tried Jennifer and am looking forward to trying a different one next time. So, as of now, Jennifer and Summer are excellent choices to book for deep tissue.

I didn't have an appointment and was accepted as a walk-in with no wait. She was very accommodating: offered to turn on the space heater, if I wanted massage oil, how much pressure I wanted. She checked in with me a few times throughout the massage to ensure I was comfortable. What stood out to me was that Lisa added some stretches for my upper back and neck. I felt really limber and relaxed. Would highly recommend and will for sure return monthly for a massage!
