Okay Invision was able to solve my problem and make everything alright. They helped me select the prefect frames and made sure they fit my face correctly. I really appreciate that. Also they have amazing warranties. Within less then 24 hours my frames broke due to an adjustment I made they cover it. They did not have to but they did. Also I was able to communicate with them about my concerns and they were able to address them and answer time and manner. Also for some other issues that came up that was more or less from a miscommunication issue and they were able to solve those and make my experience amazing right read more

Misleading coupon + unprofessional staff (Optometrist was good) Difficult to work with, and overall poorest experience in my contact/glasses wearing days. Don't take the gamble + they don't have a beneficial angle (they aren't cheaper, they aren't friendlier or faster, they don't have a larger selection) After paying $75 for a coupon for "contacts for a year" through livingsocial.com -- Invision Eyewear explained that it was only good for $150 worth of contacts (which is fine, yet wasn't stated on the coupon). At the checkout, expecting a $0.00 price, I owed $225.00 ...which if you're doing your math, that's $225 after the $75 ($150 value) ...aka $375 in contacts that normally cost me about $95.00 After deciding not to go forward with the overpriced contacts, a rude office woman continued to argue with me over the phone. At one point I finally had to say "sounds like you really don't want me a customer" ... to which her tone finally changed.--- too late, I went to Sam's Club. The Optometrist at Sam's was on the phone with her to get my prescription (which I had paid for) and she wouldn't give it to him. He explained to her that it was my legal right for my own medical information. With any bell curve, someone get's an A+, a group is in the middle, and someone else get's an F. Nice selection if you have the time and patience to ask for every single pair that you try on to be unlocked. The staff will ignore you. If you can get someone's attention, they will not be happy about unlocking those glasses for you. I've stopped by several times in my quest for eyewear and let me tell you, it is hard to tell if glasses suit you unless you actually try them on... good luck with that. Last time I was there (about a week ago) there was a lady that suggested a couple of different frames for me... that was helpful, but we only reached that point out of exhaustion. I was leaning toward a certain style/shape of frame and had asked to try on a few already so she just grabbed a few that looked similiar in order to get it over with... No input or suggestions. Not cheap either.... guess that's why they are under lock and key though. Just not a welcoming environment. read more

I have an older pair of Rēvo sunglasses that I enjoyed for years but the right temple broke. The pair was so old Rēvo no longer manufactures the model. I've tried other Rēvo styles but nothing beat this one pair. Crystal here at Invision Eyewear spend 2+ hours and finally found a set of temples that fit. While not the original no one could not tell. They match wonderfully. And it is the lens and shape that I cared about the most. I can not thank Crystal and others at Invision who worked with her to bring my old friend back to life and on my head once more. This pair has traveled literally around the world with me and I trust will make more trips in the future - all thanks to the effort of Crystal and team. read more

I was told glasses would be ready in 10 days, and I called four times in the week after they were supposed to be delivered and was finally told they would call when they were ready. The glasses I bought here broke today after only one year. I knew I was going to get hassled when I brought them back in to Invision because the receipt was long gone, and it had been a year. Not only did they fix my glasses while I waited (and were extremely gracious while doing so), the girl wondered why I hadn't brought them in long before now for an adjustment/cleaning/tune-up/whatever. When my daughter accidently broke her first pair of glasses, Julie and Elias worked with us to get her a replacement pair fast at a reasonable cost. There's a really nice selection out, most are high end brands. I started by looking at the Ray Bans and one of the employees told me they were only for men. She stood next to me and continued to tell me that they were only for men. First off, Ray Bans are unisex. Also if I want to take a look at mens, that shouldn't be a big deal. I moved down the line and the woman continued to follow me. She wouldn't even let me pick up the glasses! How am I supposed to try them on? I asked her to unlock the Tiffany display case because I had been looking at a pair online and wanted to take a closer look at. She told me they were for paying customers only. At that point I was tired of being treated as a thief and took my business elsewhere. read more

This was one of the most inept eyeglass retail experience I have ever had. I bought glasses from them, due to a stigmatized focus, my eyewear needs to fit into the frame with a curvature. I was fooled into believing that my insurance would cover a large amount of this retailers expensive price tag, for what turned out to be inferior lenses and frames.......covering the mall lease I assume. Within weeks I had scratches on a supposedly scratch resistant frame. On the other pair, the lens would not stay in the frame. Took it to them for repair. After several failed attempts to properly fix the glasses, they used glue to secure the lens......GLUE. THE BIGGEST NO NO IN FRAME LENS REPAIR. We also have a serious RACISM element going on in this establishment. Be a good steward over your hard earned money..........STAY AWAY!!!! read more

I walked into this place yesterday and felt very unwanted here. As soon as I walk in, a lady approaches me and asks if I need assistance to which I say "no thanks, just looking". I thought I was being polite but her response to that was " well that's the men's section." I was there looking for both me and my husband but I guess she felt the need to tell me that I was in the wrong section without actually saying it in those words. However, the way she said it was a bit rude. What really made me write this review is how she kept following me around and staring as if I was going to take something. I had my five year old daughter with me at the time and I just felt like we weren't wanted there. Instead we got sunglasses somewhere else for cheaper and friendlier customer service than I got here. read more

(Even ordered in a pair that wasn't in store when I asked, with no guarantee that they would be the ones I wanted.) Remember they are old school paperwork! Went in to get a pair of glasses with my wife in middle of January 2016 (remember this date). They tried to get me to do the progressive lens but i have migraines and that would miss with me. Got the glasses in a few weeks later. The lens were wrong. Right eye changed from 80 deg to 65 deg with one eye. They had them for reading (10 inch depth). I told them they were wrong. They said that i wanted them for reading. I told them for computer (20-24 inch depth). They told me it would be about a week to get the lenses in. 2 weeks later they called me. I went up there and they were wrong. They had the power set for reading up close. By now they had done 2 eye exams. They noticed their mistake and ordered the lenses again. They took 2 more weeks to get in and called me. I told them its hard to get up to the Oak Park Mall to get them. By the time i got there it was 2 weeks from the time they called me. When I picked them up and they were still wrong (see below). it was hard to see out the right eye unless i rotated the glasses 15 degrees and was able to get in focus (Notice both eyes are trying to see) They did another eye exam with one eye. Now the blonde with glasses (as seen in their video) told me to take them home for a couple weeks and try them out. So I agreed to try them at home. I got home and still the issue with right eye unless i turned them 15 degrees. I took them back up to them and stated they were still incorrect. She - the blonde with glasses - told me to get another eye exam. So he finds out that the angle was off. When using both eyes the right eye changed to 75 deg (original 80). 10 degrees is a lot. Then the blonde with glasses told me that i have to pay for the lenses again for their correction because it was longer than 30 days (nothing provided to me from the first time i went there and when i paid. They gave me an estimate and never a receipt!!!!) from Middle of January. Now thats its middle of May 2016. Notice if you go that the Eye Doctor will never talk to the ladies. He just hands the paperwork over. She - Blonde with glasses - noticed that it was a mistake and told me still to by the lenses again. I left the business with my glasses. I can't use them. My broken 14 year old glasses work close and distant but missing one arm. I asked for a refund and put it on a gift card for wife to use. After spending over $500 on glasses, I still can't see and worse with the glasses. *Which they made changes on the cards numerous times.(if you change it they need to make a new card!!!!!!!) They don't have good documentation. They stated "We are a family owned store and that we are old school!" Notice their video states, Dr. Elias Awad (Owner/General Manager) stated "That We Will Take Care of you whatever need to be done we will make you happy!" If the lenses and eye exam was done correctly in January, this would have been done in January. They want you to do your eyes separate. But as you know you need to see with both eyes. By using 1 eye at a time your eyes will rotate. By using 2 eyes they will adjust. They do understand that your eyes can rotate from close to distance. They don't understand that with both eyes the rotate change also. Which i explained to them. You look through a 1/2" lens and don't get the full affect of a regular lens. The optics will be off. When I discovered a small scratch on my new pair of progressive lenses. She ordered a new lens for me right away. The selection of frames was impressive. We had stopped at Lenscrafters first and we're horrified by lack of choices and how dirty the shop was. The Incision shop was clean and modern. I will definitely be a lifelong customer. read more

If I could give them zero stars, I would. They are a shady operation, engaging in insurance fraud. They wanted to bill my glasses as contacts - said I would get the max insurance benefit that way. But they told me don't worry, I wouldn't get in trouble for it. When I informed them that I had a frame allowance, a lens allowance, and a 20% benefit for any costs beyond those allowances (and those total benefits were twice as much as the "max" benefit they quoted me), they tried to tell me that they had a different contract with my insurance company than other stores. When the truth is, insurance benefits are insurance benefits as long as the store is an in-network provider. (Which Invision is on my plan.) Oh, and several years ago they tried to tell me that if I had a child on my insurance that I could order a second frame for myself under the child's benefits. Shady, shady, shady all around. The only thing they have going for them is they do carry a more unusual and stylish selection of frames. So if you go there and find a frame you like, write down the model number and see if you can order it a different store or online. Because they will cheat you out of half your insurance benefit and pocket the money. read more

Terrible. On April 18th, 2015.. I spent $471.85 on 1 pair of glasses that I CANNOT use. I brought in a pair of glasses to be duplicated. They said no problem. Week later I go pick up my glasses, use them a few days later and the lens in the right eye is way off. The 3 people that I was talking to offered nothing! No, "this is how we can fix the problem." No, "how can we make you happy." No, "we can't offer you a full refund BUT this is what we can do." As I was putting the glasses back in the case ($30) the counterperson said, and I'm quoting, "we're sorry that you cannot use your glasses." Basically, thank you for your money. see.. i totally knew these glasses were almost two years old! thanks to my yelp review they are literally going on two years. today as i mentioned in my pacuigo gelato review the tiny screw holding the lens decided to make a break for freedom and i spent a few horrifying minutes on my knees in the kitchen blindly trying to find it ala Velma in Scooby Doo ( my glasses!! my glasses!! ) my friend drove me here to get it fixed. as i came in i was greeted and i explained that i'd bought the glasses two years ago and the little screw had come loose and wouldnt stay closed mostly because i didnt have a screwdriver small enough to fix it ( yes i know they have the kits i never remember to buy one and havent needed to use it) please could they fix it? the nice clerk also mentioned that if i were just a walk in they would also help out with that kind of thing and fixed me up right away i mentioned that i'd had a lens slippage and we determined that the screw had been loosening over the last few months causing it. cleaning them she complimented me that i've kept excellent care of them no scratches and the frames are still excellent shape so good that she questioned the two years old claim. i said.. you all made them as well as you did, it was up to me to take care of them. i'm fairly sure they ARE two years old.. she asked me how and i said my secret was bathroom and by my bed having the lens cases i got from them right there so i can just put them away when going to shower and or sleep, very rarely do i fall asleep in them. in any case once again i was impressed by the friendliness of this little shop. you can read in my other review where it is.. when i go to replace i sincerely hope my new vision plan has them on board. in any case i'm VERY pleased over the quality pair of glasses they made for me two years the same glasses and i still can see clearly across the room and read the tiny closed captionings. i love them and like i said, i really never liked glasses before, the contacts which i for years had such a hassle with. are now such an afterthought.. excellent! read more

Ok-It's time to buy new glasses again, so I always go on YELP to see what's being said about my favorite place, INVISION EYEWEAR. I'm not sure what in the world the problem seems to be about insurance issues. I used a very GOOD insurance there the other times I bought glasses and had absolutely NO troubles. It is one of the insurances they specialize in and was used properly to the letter. I would never go to a place that seemed "off" in any sense. That said, I went to them again-with that same insurance. I DID take the advice of one reviewer who suggested that bringing your insurance papers along might be a good idea. Papers in hand, I went in and was of course immediately greeted, this time by Julie. We found great frames and I asked if the "digital" lenses that I bought before were still the best. She assured me that they were and said that the only thing I might update would be the anti-glare coating to one of the newer ones. I agreed to this and she ran my insurance. She explained what my charges would be, and they seemed reasonable. I understood that I had picked expensive frames and lenses rather than "basic"-----that's what I have ALWAYS worn, but my insurance paid the same. It was explained to my satisfaction and for getting what I got, the price was very good. I really like to purchase from small businesses and this little boutique lives up to all my expectations. read more
