We were on rink 2 for our games this past weekend, and while I think this is one of the better…read morecollege club hockey rinks I've been to, it was no where near the best. The lobby area is really nice. There's quite a few benches and high-top tables. However, if you needs an outlet, you're basically hoping one of the two tables with access to them is open. The concession stand seemed pretty standard for a local rink. A huge plus was the hockey shop onsite. My biggest pet peeve with the rinks here though is that there's an upper level walk between all of them, and sound carries through these very easily. I wish these walks had a wall or doors between them. Often times, we would hear a whistle from the other rink and think it would be meant for us. For my fellow sports photographers: denoise is going to be your best friend while shooting here. The walls are a dark gray, and it heavily effects the photos. The glass is good to shoot through; however, in my images, the other panels came through with a strong green. There is a set of nets protecting fans in the stands, so if you're looking to get some shots from above, you'll have to use the upper walk near the third rink. I had limited interactions with staff, but overall, I didn't get a great impression (mainly from the ice staff). Perhaps it was just a bad weekend, but it did make me feel unwelcomed as a staff member for a visiting team.

Totally catered to whatever we needed. Lots of pizza, pop, prizes, etc. And it was totally reasonable in price. When you have 30+ kids under the age of 8 skating around...it requires a lot of work. I think all the kids had a good time and I got to bask in my "Blades of Glory" days, well not really but lets pretend.

Luckily I was able to take my group and our money to a different skate center in Crest Hill. I will never spend a dime there again.

COVID has been a little tricky for hockey, but Canlan is killing it with their protocols…read more We've been at the arena for about five years and even through it's ownership change, they continue to surprise us with the level of attention and courtesy they provide. Coach Dennis is doing a great job of keeping our families up-to-date with options and we were super excited to see Coach John and Coach Vince back on the ice! If you're looking for coaches who remember your kids names and individualize their progress and assessment... this is the place. From a cost standpoint, this club is a little more expensive than some in neighboring towns, but the facilities and coaches are worth the added expense. For those concerned about COVID protocol, all the coaches wear masks on the ice and there is no player contact for the squirt and mite skill sessions. Right now, there's no in-house league, which is understandable, but sad. We hope that there will be progress toward that end in the future. I highly recommend this arena, especially for your youngsters just starting out.

They offered vintage Hyde roller skates (in select sizes) so I had to try them! Needless to say they fit like a glove, rolled and skated like they had been blessed by the Kings and Queens of the disco era. I will be back Paramount!
