I came in on a late Saturday afternoon and it was perfect... there was only one other customer here. Except for the kids music playing over the speakers, it was "quiet" and calm. Everything was orderly and clean and my daughter was able to play with everything she wanted. Some notes for you who haven't been here: - No outside food or drinks. And this rule is serious. I found out from Christi that this is because due to their business designation, they are not allowed to have potential allergens (eg. peanuts, soy, sesame, etc) brought into the building. They are just following regulations and are not just trying to generate more revenue... though it's good to support local businesses! - Make sure everyone is wearing socks. This is one of the reasons it's so clean here! - It's $15 per child for the day, with no fee for adults. - Paying with card is 4% up charge (due to processing charges from the payment company), so bring cash or pay by Zelle. The owners are super nice as long as you are willing to ask questions and let them know what you need. They are kind to the kids and welcoming to the adults. One of the toys was out of batteries and Inna immediately replaced them so my daughter could have more fun! There's also an extensive menu of snacks and drinks for you and your child, so it's a good place to relax (as much as you can while having kids ) and have a nice coffee. Definitely come by and support this local business... especially when there's low traffic!

One of my friends told me to check this place out, which was only a couple miles away from me. She loved their classes (she did Yoga, Pilates, and some kind of ab class) and thought I'd benefit from their facilities, especially the track. Although the Centre has a membership fee for the machines & classes, I was able to use the track for free since I was a resident (at the time). That was all I needed. I loved it! The track was clean and never too crowded. I don't think a lot of people realized what a gem this place was. I went at different times during the day and enjoyed running quietly by myself or alongside my husband (he came with me a couple times). Lockers are also available next to the track with keys. I also walked around the Centre and saw two nice pools, climbing wall, new & clean machines, and several rooms for classes. The only downside is that the parking garage is kind of narrow and you have to watch out for cars coming around the corner. It's hard to find parking sometimes, but at least the garage is attached to some kind of indoor bridge over the street so you don't have to walk across the street. I also came here once for some kind of green festival and really enjoyed all the displays, booths, taste samples, art, and petting zoo! Many parts of Elgin are really run-down but this is one part of Elgin that shines. If it wasn't for the Centre (and the library nearby), I wouldn't have been complete.

My little girl wanting to have a swimming party for her birthday,being that her birthday is in the…read morebeginning of May that could be a little tricky but came across Park Place as an option so we decided to go ahead with it . We arrived 30 minutes before the party started to get set up and out party hostess was waiting for us at the door. She brought us downstairs to our party room and helped me set everything up and even greeted the guests as they arrived. She was excellent in explaining the party plans to all of the kids and very patient with a room full of 7 and 8 year olds. Once everyone arrived all the kids were set free in the pool area and had a great time jumping, splashing, and swimming. The kids were able to swim in the pool for an hour and a half and then back to the party room for food and cake. The kids loved that they were able to eat outside. Overall, it was a great experience.

I did the math :) So I got the iPod out, paid the $5 admission and went here to work out. They really don't have a ton of cardio equipment, maybe 5 or 6 treadmills, a couple ellipticals (which I couldn't even get on) and maybe 5 or 6 exercise bikes. Everything is very close together too and it's kind of hard to navigate. The running track was really what pissed me off. There were these morons on there who were basically walking side by side hogging BOTH of the lanes. They only have two lanes. It's like "HELLO...DON'T HOG BOTH LANES..THERE ARE PEOPLE TRYING TO RUN HERE!" Inside lane for walkers, outside lane for runners. Not that hard to comprehend, people. How about a 4 lane running track, Village of Streamwood? I'd probably come back here again to work out. I'll just plow into someone next time when I'm running irf they don't get out of my bloody way . Learn some courtesy, people!

I've coached a number of basketball teams over the past ten years and we've played here at least a…read moredozen times. There are a number of newer facilities, but this one is good. Here are a couple of reasons why: 1. The courts are not side by side, so you don't have the distraction of the refs whistle blowing in another game and your players stopping because they're not sure who blew it. 2. The floor surface is very good. The floors are wood and well maintained so you don't have kids slipping all the time. 3. The concession stand options are as good as any place I've been. Prices are pretty standard. 4. Only mark against this place is that on some courts there is only one scoreboard and it is behind the benches--good for fans, not for players or coaches. Overall, recommended!

Night swim was great for the Fox River Valley Libraries reading challenge reward. There were a lot…read moreof families there that participated and got a voucher to come and swim after hours. Saw lots of friends and had a good time. I am hoping in the future the park district will do more night swims as it was a great evening, didn't have to worry about the blazing sun or heat. Just right! My son had a great time. Thanks to all that were there from the libraries and staff at Dolphin Cove for making it a special night for the kids!
