She has progressed through multiple levels and with multiple instructors. I can say that there is not a single coach that does not go above and beyond with this skate school. From the staff that works the front desks always greeting you with a smile and friendly conversation to the coaches on the ice that not only communicate how to improve but often times can demonstrate specific skills; the Chicago edge will not disappoint. I will also recommend this skate school as a stepping stone into the hockey world as well. They have a wonderful learn to skate (snowplow) program that does not teach the kids to rely on walkers or their hockey sticks for balance. I would recommend the Chicago edge program to everyone looking to start skating or looking to advance their skills. Julie and Ritsa have put together a well rounded program that will definitely meet your needs.

They offer bundles for the activities if you plan on doing more than one. It's a better deal. Saves you a few dollars each person. Yesterday , We took…read moreour kiddos to sports zone to do the batting cages, we let our daughter try it out, she does not play ball but she practices with her brother and dad all the time and dad pitches to her she does just fine, we let her go into the slow pitch batting cage and the owner ran over and yelled at us and was extremely rude, we took it as he was just concerned and we didn't read the rules she's 5 and you have to be 6. We apologized and took her out no problem. He still stays there and keeps egging it on, he starts point at the rules all aggressive, we still again agreed we didn't read them and apologized. HE THEN states "I don't know if you need to read them in Spanish" like WHAT THE FUCK!!? So because of the color of our skin you make that comment yet we have been speaking to you fluently in English, my husband and I have no accents and we barely ever speak Spanish. So we were BLOWN AWAY. Moral of the story this piece of shit is RACIST. And yall shouldn't spend a PENNY there!!

I won a pair of tickets to see Divas De Las Muertas take on The Glamazons through Aurora 88s and Yelp Chicago Burbs. Sarah S joined us and we had a great time. I really hope this catches on and continues to expand. I'd really like to see them in a larger venue with stadium seating. Tickets were priced at $10 for adults and I think it was $5 for kids. How many places can you think of where you can get hours of entertainment and support a good cause? Support a suburban gem!

My sister recently hosted a birthday party at Get Air, and unfortunately, the experience was…read moredisappointing due to several issues that need attention. The biggest concern was the temperature in the party room. We had more than 40 guests in the room, and it was extremely hot and uncomfortable. There was only one fan available, and when we asked if another fan could be provided, we were told that the additional fan was reserved for guests using the massage chairs. Given that the party room was packed with over 40 people, it seemed like a much greater need existed there than in the massage chair area. The heat became so unbearable that several guests went to their vehicles to retrieve battery-operated fans just to stay comfortable. One family even left the party early because of the conditions. It was clear that the room's ventilation or air conditioning was not adequate for the number of people using the space. Installing blinds on the large window may help reduce heat from the sun, but the HVAC system should also be evaluated to ensure the room remains comfortable for party guests. Another issue involved cleanliness and customer service. One of our party guests became sick and vomited. When the employee who appeared to be the supervisor on duty was informed, his response was disappointing. He appeared irritated and stated that he had another party to attend to and would get to the cleanup later. This was not an appropriate response to a situation involving guest health and sanitation. Based on this experience, I believe this location would benefit from: Additional staffing to properly support multiple parties at the same time. Improved customer service training for employees. An inspection of the HVAC system in the first party room to address the excessive heat. Additional cooling solutions, such as fans and window blinds, to keep guests comfortable. While the children enjoyed the attractions, the overall party experience was negatively impacted by the uncomfortable conditions and lack of responsive customer service. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and makes improvements for future guests. From Learn to Skate, Cyclones hockey, Steel games, tournaments, and Rookies -- this rink has been such a big part of our family's journey. The staff is always friendly, the facility is clean and welcoming, and there's such a great community atmosphere every time you walk through the doors. They do it right here, you're going to have a blast! We came on a normal afternoon and found the place to be inviting and well taken care of. Having been to other rinks in the area this one definitely falls at the top of the heap. It feels a bit pricey but, I think, you're paying up for a quality spot. This place has it all: skate rental, lockers, skate aids, food, seats to spectate, the whole nine yards! And, like I said, it's all well taken care of; and clean too! Not to mention the staff, which is ample and friendly. We had a blast skating for about 1.5 hours and even grabbed a snack at the on-site bar/restaurant (that has full view of the rink! Cool!). I'm a fan of the ice area and will be returning in the future.
