Tonight when I took my Golden Retriever in, we had an amazing experience. I was very nervous and worried about her and from the moment we walked in we were reassured from front desk staff. We waited maybe 30 seconds before we were taken to a room and met with a delightful, knowledgeable vet tech about 2 minutes later. She took Sadie's info and then they vet came in to do a full exam and had a treatment plan for where to go from there. The whole visit took maybe 45 minutes including X-rays. They were quick, thorough and reassuring. The Vet, vet tech, and front desk staff were all so incredibly kind in a moment of anxiety for me. I'm so thankful for them! The space was very clean and it was clear every member of the staff was incredibly knowledgeable on any issue that could come about with a pet. If you're in a moment of panic after your vet is closed, this is the place to go! read more

Every member of their team was compassionate and wonderful!! My dog Jasmine was experiencing seizures and appeared to be declining rapidly. We were met with extreme understanding and compassion. Our veterinarian recommended some medication adjustment (although I suspect she knew the imminent). That night Jasmine had another seizure and couldn't walk no longer walk. We brought her in the following day and were met with such compassion as we had to do the inevitable. Such a difficult time and your compassion meant the world to me. Thank you!! read more

The screenshot with the review is not attaching so here it is: Before going to Blue Pearl I took my soon-to-be 20-year-old cat, who had just had a first seizure, to the animal ER clinic in West Des Moines, IA. I won't even begin to describe what happened to us there. I will never take a beloved pet to that ER clinic agan. On the other hand, we couldn't have received any better care than Blue Pearl provided us. They immediately took her to the back and started giving her the medical attention she so desperately needed. They didn't require me to sign anything, unlike the other clinic, before they would let me leave the front desk area. I was so terrified seeing her having a seizure that I wouldn't even have known what I was signing, yet they insisted saying that was their policy. Our vet at Blue Pearl said she's had another pet parent experience a very similar thing at the other clinic, and the vet clinic where I have taken my pets for over 35 years no longer refers to the other clinic because of their own experiences with the other clinic. Our cat, Smokey, was severely injured in an accident at home. We came to Iowa Veterinary Specialists and they were so gentle with her & us. I was hopeful she could have surgery & come home but she was too severely injured. They were so kind to us and allowed us to be with Smokey at the end. We were devastated & I can't say enough good things about their compassionate treatment. We chose to cremate Smokey and when we picked her up she was in a beautiful box inside a velvet bag. They put her paws in a clay mold.with her name on it. We so appreciated everything and would highly recommend them. read more

Took our 11 year old dog in who was having shaking and told them that in the past that when she had high anxiety that she had had a seizure and we sat there for two hours and no one came in to tell us anything. Told us that they had gone through a shift change and that no one knew we had been waiting that long and that it would them another 20 or so minutes to check her out. If you're reading this, you're likely super worried about your pet like we were last week. Take a deep breath and try to consider your options logically. This place counts on you losing your wits. If you have a trusted vet that can see your pet - I highly recommend going there first instead of IVS. The other option is ISU's animal hospital - which, if push comes to shove, next time, I would drive the 45mins each way there instead of coming back to IVS. If you're still considering this place - you should know the following: -it's $165 for them to examine your pet. I didn't end up going to ISU, but this is 60% more than what ISU told me their emergency exam costs, and multiple times more than what my vet charges. -if your dog is at all at risk of dying, they will make you sign away $600. They say that this is what they would charge for the resuscitation of your pet. You'll get this money back, they'll tell you, if your pet doesn't need it. Well - in the end, I paid almost $800. My dog never needed resuscitation. I wasted 3hrs and left angry and still worried for my pet's life. Apparently when I signed off on the $600, they started to do tests that cost up to that and only came back to me when they'd reach that limit. They wanted me to pay $1300 for all of their tests and fees, and when I asked what that would guarantee my pet - they said it might still result in them referring me to ISU. I was livid. I had them finish the blood work so that we'd rule out whether it was the kidneys, then I wanted out. They made me sign papers that affirmed I was acting against their medical advice, ie seemingly acting against my pet's healthcare. But I had no issues signing it because I no longer trusted their ability to care for my pet by that point. If I had my wits about me when I first came in - I would've realized that sooner when they forced me to choose b/w $600 or they would stand by and let my dog die if things came to that. What if someone didn't have that sort of money? I made them give me copies of the results of all the tests (which they didn't do comprehensively either). It was lucky that when I saw the $1300 estimate, I realized that they were charging 3x what my vet had charged, even though my vet had done much more, much faster for my pet just a few months ago. To add insult to injury - they had the nerve to call to check in on my pet. I wanted to scream that I paid them $800 to do nothing to help my dog. I held my tongue and saved it for this review. My vet was able to squeeze my dog in bw a packed schedule a few days later, diagnosed, did X-rays, and adjusted her meds and gave her new meds...for $124. I would have gladly paid much more because I trust them to put my pet's interest first. She's doing much better now! TLDR: I would NOT recommend IVS unless you were willing to shell out $1000+, and still run the risk of them referring you to ISU, and having them make you feel like a shitty person for not listening to them and paying them much more than what other places would charge. Our 2nd encounter with them and another frustration and utter disappointment. Went there with a 2 month old puppy. She had an upset stomach. After 2 parvo tests $600, 2 X-rays $1200 they were still not sure. Left the puppy overnight and then they realized to take her temp and do a simple urine test. She had a UTI which is treated by antibiotics! So instead of doing simple tests like blood, urine and taking temps, they made us pay $3000 for unnecessary X-rays and etc. when we specifically told them she couldn't have swallowed anything. What kind of unprofessional work there??!! The kind that cares all about overcharging you. Next time I'd wait to go to our regular vet or go somewhere else. Stay far-far away from them! read more

Took my dog in here after she was attacked by another dog. they told me it would be $1300 to $1800 then they charged me $2300. I took her in 5 days later to get tubes out just to be told she needed restitched back up and more tubes because of all the infection. I couldn't afford another $1800 to start out as quoted this time. So I opted to have her put down by my own vet. I couldn't understand why she wasn't stitched up the right way the first time either because she was sedated! Did all the dog things w her that night and the next day for her last day w us and took her to our normal vet just for him to say her stitches weren't even holding anything together and it was pointless to have them. But she didn't need more tubes put in because there was not a lot of infection in her and she didn't have to be stitched up it could heal anyway because she wasn't as bad as they told me. Now 4 days later she looks even better than she did that day and she's healing just fine! They literally just tried getting more money I didn't have out of me for no reason and charged me $500 more than they quoted for my highest amount anyway. I will never be back here again and I have always came here for after hours emergency. read more

I have had great experiences with the clinic. My cat needed to see an internal medicine specialist and the specialist near me had a 6 week wait to be seen. IVS was able to get me in within a few days. Additionally, when I needed a sudden recheck for her, I was able to get in within 3 hours of calling. as an internal medicine physician (a human doctor), this is my experience & thoughts on this facility. my dog died likely from complications from a pancreatic necrotic mass. even with proper diagnosis i doubt he would have survived. however, with how significant of a "miss" this was in regards to diagnosis/management/etc, i cannot recommend this facility. below is a more detailed account of my experience there. i presented with my 13yo dog who had been having abdominal pain for 5hrs. he was diagnosed with acute pancreatitis and was admitted for less than 48hours then discharged. IVS was subsequently called 3hrs after discharge due to change in his behavior. i asked to speak to a veterinarian and a vet tech answered the call. i was informed that symptoms were likely from coming off a fentanyl/ketamine drip and patient readjusting to home, though i could bring the my dog to IVS if i wished. the following morning (less than 24hrs from when my dog was discharged) I rushed him to his PCP who found he was lethargic, hypothermic, and in respiratory distress. he passed away less than 24 hours from IVS discharge. autopsy results would reveal he had a necrotic pancreatic mass as well as ascites and significant bilateral apical pleural effusion. my thought is my dog either had a missed diagnosis, poor treatment during hospitalization, inappropriate discharge, or a mixture of all the above. read more

Had to go in really really late after our dog started swelling in the face cause of an infection from a large cut on her head. With it being really late, everyone was very friendly and alert. Plus, my dog is VERY VERY nervous. They let Luna take her time smelling them and they took their time introducing themselves. They also gave me an update on when she was out of our sight on what happened which Luna did very well and I know it was cause she felt comfortable around them. The cost wasn't that bad. We're from Florida where this emergency trip would've cost about $350+ down there. So this place was a blessing for us. I spoke with a receptionist named Kate on 12/8; my dog is an incoming referral patient. Kate portrayed a very aggressive and condescending tone when confirming my appointment and collecting my deposit. She spoke over me during the conversation and was combative when I questioned the appointment time as it was different than what my referring veterinarian had wrote down for me. Mistakes happen, no biggie. But her tone was so rude, I asked to be transferred to anyone else. I was connected with another receptionist, her name was Porschia. We took our 3 year old dog Frank to them because he had gotten attacked by a much larger dog and.had some clearly non life threatening wounds to his hind quarters. After a few hours they released him to go home. Gave us instructions on his medication. During the night he died. Clearly not from his wounds.but.from whatever they did to him. Now we are left with guilt and sadness as he was a bright spot in our lives. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR BABIES. Us and our 14 year old daughter are now scarred for life. read more

My twin sister's 12 year old, but very healthy, dog had a pretty perianal adenoma , that was initially looked at by Dr. S. Greene. She was terrific, the appointment was scheduled within 2 days of our calling them and we didn't wait more than 10 minutes to be seen by her. Dr Greene explained all possibilities to us, as well as our options. She and her staff were great with Ted, our beautiful Siberian mix and treated him gently and with great care. We were extremely afraid the mass was a malignant tumor but Dr Greene felt it was a perianal adenoma, based upon her examination and her experience with the different cancers. She was absolutely correct, thank The Lord. We then saw their surgeon, Dr Andy Law, who did the excision and resection. He was also wonderful. He explained our options, as well as advising us of the possible complications that could arise from surgery in that particular area. He also promised to be very conservative with the removal since it wasn't a malignant cancer and to minimize the potential risks. Ted came out of surgery extremely well. Dr Law was able to remove the entire adenoma, without causing any of the potential problems that could have occurred with this surgery. We were able to speak with the vets and their techs immediately when we had questions and/or concerns. While the consultations and surgery were expensive, Ted was very well taken care of, the surgery and visits with the vets went very well and we couldn't have asked for anything better. The cost was nothing compared with having our boy back, healthy and happy once again. read more

My pup tore her foot pad one Saturday afternoon after her regular vet had closed, but they recommended we go to IVS. I called before we headed over, and they provided us the pertinent information. Once we arrived, the team had us fill out brief information before getting us into an exam room immediately. The vet tech took the time to listen and ask questions as she was examining my pup. Shortly thereafter, the vet came in, took a look, and explained what they would be doing. After less than 30 minutes, the vet emerged to tell me the procedure had gone well. She explained next steps for both that day and for the next couple of weeks. The front desk team then took me through the dismissal process before the vet tech came out to chat with me to again go over instructions for medication and recovery. Like the vet, she made sure that I understood everything before we left. All in all, the entire team created a positive experience from start to finish, which is not always easy to do when dealing with injured fur babies! The team communicated well, explained the process, and ensured I understood the necessary follow-up for my pup to fully recover. While I hope not to have a return visit to IVS any time soon, I know that any of my pups would be in good hands here! read more

My husband and I had to stop here with our dog as we're traveling cross-country. Our dog has been experiencing very rapid breathing, low energy and excessive thirst. An x-ray showed an enlarged liver, something that should be able to be determined through a simple manual exam. Combined with all of his other symptoms, we were absolutely positive our dog had Cushing's disease and told another vet the following day. This vet (Dr. Olsen) blew us off saying he was sure that this wasn't the case, and instead recommended an expensive ultrasound which turned out completely unnecessary (which didn't surprise us in the least). We demanded a test be done to check for Cushings. It came back positive. Oh, and it was never explained what it was the Dr. thought he saw on the x-ray that warranted an ultrasound in the first place. So, $1200 later we have an answer; one that should have only cost us $100 max. Lesson: Watch out for vets that seem to be more concerned about lining their pockets than saving your pet's life. Also, read as much as possible and figure out what is wrong with your pet on your own because there are many vets who couldn't diagnose a heart attack, let alone something subtle and slightly complicated like Cushing's. read more

Took my dog in as she was deathly ill. The staff were friendly enough in the beginning I was told after I brought her there that this place has a reputation but I guess I didnt heed advice and had to experience it for myself. While they did save my dogs life they also proceeded to charge me at large fee which my dog isnt even 2 yrs so I will pay to save her life. When it came time to pick her up I was told I had to pay in full at 4700. Id already put down 2800 for the week she was there. I was told that if I didnt pay in full (total 7800) They would keep my dog, charge me boarding fees at 134 a day for five days And then take my dog to the shelter and report me for abandonment. Needless to say on top of that There were a number of extremely condesending very rude staff members One in particular that asked me what I thought I could do? Just pick up my dog!?! Well any other place will give u ur animal and then send u to collections But not this place They will charge u until u are broke and then make u feel bad in every way possible They also indicated I got my dog sick as well which was not the case I STRONGLY rec people to never ever take their pet to this hospital if u have a very sick animal or unless u have a few millions around. If I could give zero stars I would. I've been through seven emergency situations over the last 10 years, so I'm well educated on this topic unfortunately. If you don't need "specialist", I highly recommend Creature Comforts Ankeny IA. They are very capable, have the equipment, can perform surgeries, and extremely reasonably priced for the excellent care you will get. They are open every day of the week with extended hours into the evening. If you need specialists, go to Iowa Veterinary Refferral. Do NOT go here. I'm going to refer to Principles of Veterinary Medical Ethics of the AVMA: A veterinarian shall be influenced only by the welfare of the patient, the needs of the client, the safety of the public, and the need to uphold the public trust vested in the veterinary profession; and shall avoid conflict of interest or the appearance thereof. *A veterinarian shall not allow any interests, especially financial interests, other than those mentioned above to influence the choice of treatment or animal care. Now for my review: My senior mother has a diagnosed mental health illness. She was temporarily living with me and decided one morning that my dog was very ill. She took the dog to this business and left with an over $500 bill. The 20 pound dog was presenting NO emergency symptoms (normal bowel movement that morning, no temperature, no distended stomach, no vomiting or abnormal temperature according to the doctor's report). The dog didn't eat that morning, and by the doctor's report stated owner had just switched the dog's food. This is a COMMON issue and is NOT considered an emergency or complex by any ethical veterinarian. WHY would any ethical veterinarian have treated this dog for an emergency situation obtaining blood work, x-ray, and testing feces etc.? The veterinarian should have told her there was NO medical emergency and sent her to her regular vet, as this was a weekday morning and the dog had not been seen by the regular vet yet. My mom was not demanding these tests, but is fearful and if told a test is needed by a "medical professional" will blindly follow a doctor's recommendation. Also, as stated in the doctor's report she was not the owner, I am and they should have called me for approval before proceeding past an initial visual exam. After all that surprise surprise, there is nothing wrong with the dog and she is sent home an hour later with anti nausea pills and instructions to switch her back to her other food. Oh, and an over $500 bill. Taking advantage of a mentally ill senior, not ethical by any standard. I have contacted the Iowa Board of Veterinary Medicine. read more

Update: The operations manager of the clinic contacted me about my concerns and assured me that what I experienced was not acceptable at their practice. He assured me that there will be some new staff training and that they will be reviewing their policies and procedures to ensure that something like this doesn't happen again. Although there is no way to take back out negative experience, the operations manager of the clinic did everything within his power to make it right, a gesture that is certainly worthy of recognition. horrible experience. brought our cat in in the middle of the night to learn he had an untreatable illness and would need to be put down. unfortunately the loss of our pet was not the worst part Since my boyfriend was bit by the cat we were told that rabies testing is mandated by law. again, not the worst part of the night. the worst part was when the vet returned to our room to tell us that we couldn't bury our cat because "i need his head". i am currently a clinical laboratory science student and am well aware of the rabies testing protocol, however being told about it in such a tactless manner made it nearly impossible to focus on the loss of our cat. to add insult to injury, the staff insisted we pay the bill before we see our cat prior to being euthanized. at that moment it was all about the money rather than the loss of our pet. because of the behavior of some staff members our last good memories of our cat are overshadowed by the appalling treatment we recieved at the clinic. we knew that we would be saying goodbye to our cat as he was 15 years old and we knew it wouldn't be easy. i never expected that it would be handled so poorly read more

My initial call was pleasant - I have a 2 1/2 year old Puggle that is lethargic, warm to the touch, shivering while inhaling, goopy eyed, and just not her normal spunky self. As an obviously VERY concerned parent, I found the receptionist reassuring, polite, and informative. She was sure to let me know of the exact visit charges as well as payment options. That and the fact that the facility appeared to be clean as well as receiving prompt service is the reason for the one star. From the moment the Dr checked out my dog I felt the "sales pitch" coming on. I appreciate the idea of an "estimate" for suggested services - they do that every time I take my car in for an oil change. But this is my fur baby. Not my vehicle. If I took my child in for what appeared to be a virus or infection I wouldn't anticipate the pressure I received for x-rays and additional tests. Here's what I was presented with: an estimate of $500. $200 of which was for an x-ray. Now, had my dog not been having normal bowel movements or had she gotten into or eaten something she shouldn't have - I probably would have agreed instantly. Disclaimer: I'm not a vet. But I do possess a strong education in common sense. So I suggested we go with the blood work (cbc, chem-9 and pancreas test totaling $240 - $55 for the pancreas test) and hold off on the x-rays. As I was made to feel guilty about that with statements about "we won't really be for sure" (before the blood work was even drawn), we were told it would take an hour and to come back. Here's the back story - I know what blood says. I was a blood tech for 6 years. I know what we can find out from blood. I also have a basic knowledge of what an x-ray shows. I may have bit if a CT scan or MRI were on the table - to offer actual functional diagnosis - rather than a straight image. But I digress. Blood work came back in normal parameters (including that $55 pancreatic test) except for a high wbc count. So - she has an infection. Again, I was pressured to get an x-ray as well as now a urinalysis. In order to "pin point" the origin of infection. Now I'm no med student.... But explain to me the real and actual benefit of spending an additional $275 in tests to determine the origin - just to put her on the same antibiotic as we walked out with? None. Why wouldn't a compassionate, caring vet offer the antibiotic first? Let's see where that goes? Well - the answer is that they clearly want the $ for the tests. And further evidence.... Got home, bought chicken breast, plain rice, hot dogs to administer the antibiotic, and a little low-sodium chicken broth to mix with water (to make it more appealing so that she's not dehydrated - we'll call it doggy pedialyte). She took the pills in the hot dog just fine. However, when she was carried out to the water bowl to drink she refused to put pressure on her right hind leg. Literally would not stand on it. So we called to ask if maybe they had drawn the blood out of her right hind leg - the answer was "No - we drew it out of her neck. We wouldn't know what's causing that because we didn't do the x-rays"...... Really? You had how many years of vet schooling and can't possibly deduce what MIGHT be the issue with my dog not putting pressure on her right hind leg - but she was able to (because I took her potty right out in front of your clinic before I brought her in) ---- but the $200 x-ray that you've pushed since moment 2 would tell you exactly what it was??? Um - ok. Way to really care about the charges, oh - I mean pets read more

Update: Seth from Iowa Veterinary Specialties contacted me with a really nice note. I have updated this review to 3 stars and eliminated some of what I wrote, not because they asked (they didn't), but because I felt that I had been unfair. I talked to my vet today and with a sympathetic ear and some assistance rather than a lecture in a moment of grief, we are working on correcting the issues with the dog (attempt #11). This is going to be a mixed bag of a review because I had a great experience there with Dr. Pottorff but had an awful experience there with Dr. Thomsen. My dog has anxiety issues and is going blind. We've worked behavioral specialists, positive reinforcement training, and another type of training (diversion?), and her anxiety is off the charts. She paces, whimpers and barks the entire time that we are home. There is no peace in our house and it's gotten to the point that she almost seems like she's totally disconnected with the outside world. Her obsessions and anxiety is to the point that she's inconsolable and uncontrollable. 4 different medications have not worked (along with more behavioral training) and this dog is quickly losing any quality of life. We went to see Dr. Pottorff after a paradoxical reaction to a medication and he was fantastic. He showed empathy, and was very kind about the issues at home. He prescribed a different medication that helped her temporarily until we could see our vet again the next day. The second visit came 5 days later. The dog was out of control and had been for multiple days. There was no calming her and she was exhausted and so were we. After two years of battling this and trying to help this dog get some peace, we decided that we needed to have her put to sleep. This was a terribly difficult decision because otherwise the dog was healthy. We arrived at the clinic and they had me sign all of the paperwork then they took the dog to the back to prepare. At that point Dr. Thomsen came into the room and said that he would not put her to sleep because of she was a healthy dog. I explained the situation and he suggested that I relinquish the dog or call some behavioral specialists. I explained that after 2 years of using specialists and trainers the situation had deteriorated. He was very cold, rude, and had no compassion. He made me feel like a murderer and negligent. Mind you, this is the first time he had met me so he has no idea what we had done to make this dog's life better. She was like this when we rescued her 2 years ago and it has gone downhill. Needless to say, I took the dog home with me and we will be seeing our regular vet today to discuss options. He made a bad situation worse. I didn't think that I could feel worse about myself, but he managed to do it. If I could base this on Dr. Pottorff I would be giving them a 5, but it would be a 2 for Dr. Thomsen, but because of Seth I upped it to a 3. read more

Somewhat pricey, but I took my cat there at 2:00 AM after an accident. Cat is elderly. I probably could have saved money and not gone, but wanted my cat checked out. Cat was ok, but X-ray revealed some spine issues. It's what I suspected for a long time, but not the result of the accident this morning. Good vets here, with a caring attitude. I guess since they are pricey, they do give you some good bene's for the price. They had a great TV room where you can watch TV while waiting for your pet. Since it was 2:00 AM, I turned off the light and tried to take a nap, but the room was rather cold (The A/C). I was surprised at how cold the room was, as the daytime temps had been in or near 90's that day. (Probably couldn't nap anyway because I was worried about my cat.) Also, the room has a special Monitor for the vet to show you your pet's X-rays. I thought this was rather innovative! Further, they gave me copies of all the X-Rays and documents on a CD! Parking lot could fit an RV if there were no other cars, but parking lot would be a bit dicey to get into with an RV. Have to turn up a road, and then a narrow entrance to the parking lot. This is what I observed at 2:00 AM, was hard to see. Although I think the staff and vets are very caring here and you will get good service, I am basing my 3 stars on the following: - Whether or not you can access parking lot with an RV (and I know this isn't their fault, just the design they were stuck with whenever they moved here.....) - Kind of pricey, but on the other hand, look what you get! The nice TV Room, and your records on a CD to take to your regular vet! This is a case of: Do you want "cool stuff" or "less expensive?" I came here in a taxi. UPDATE: July 17, 2015: I decided to change from three stars to four stars because they cared enough to make a followup call to see how my cat was! Update: July 28, 2015: At the recommendation of another local vet I was using, I had to bring my cat back here again for a three night stay due to complications of the herniated disc. They called me voluntarily every day with updates on my cat's condition. I didn't have to hound them. If you are like me and don't tow a car with your RV, it was an $80 round trip cab ride from where I was staying. read more

I love the techs and vets at IVS. It is always quick and thorough and the really care. I would love to see them accept Humblpay as a payment option. It will save them money and it's super convenient. read more

We could not have been more happy with the care our dog Sadie received while at IVS. We were out of town and the boarders brought her in. The doctors called regularly with updates and provided us with medical advice and cost estimates. They also called us regularly to update us on her condition. The doctors were so compassionate - we felt that Sadie was in great hands and would highly recommend IVS. read more

Vets had absolutely no idea what was wrong with my kitten's eye. Found out actual useful information from a different Vet. Only out there for your money and to overcharge you for EVERYTHING. HIGHLY recommend not using this Veterinary service and going somewhere else that actually knows what they are doing. read more

Both our dogs got sick from a bad bag of dog food with explosive diarrhea and vomiting. Took them here on a Sunday morning and received great care. The bill was reasonable and the staff was great. read more

Dr. Gearhart and the tech staff here are wonderful. I took my cat for acupuncture and was also given information on how I can better care for him through supplements and diet. He I s going back next week, along with one of my other cats. I appreciate their care and services very much. I highly recommend Dr. Gearhart and her integrative way of providing veterinary care using both Eastern and Western veterinary medicine. read more

Terrible awful place! We took our dog to be put down and they took us to a room that was dim and we were good with the room it was comfortable enough despite having to go through this awful process of putting your dog down. We were very emotional. They came and got our dog and said they would be back in a few minutes. They had her away from us for an hour. Shortly after they took our dog a staff member came in and said we have to move you to another room. They then moved us to a terrible room. There were 3 of us and did not offer to get us another chair. We had go and find an extra chair ourselves. When they finally brought our dog back she was panting so hard and could not relax. We then had to go and find somebody to give her something to calm her down. Most awful experience. We were not able to spend that much time with her during her last moments of life. If I could give them 0 stars I would. I would not recommend bringing your pet here. read more

My dog had an incident at the dog park and needed stitches. We had a great experience here. We walked in and were greeted very quickly and moved into an exam room. Did I mention my dog is a 5 month old puppy? He was very wiggly, as puppies are, and the staff were great to him. The vet checked him out and we discussed different options. He brought out the estimate and we discussed openly if there was anything on there that was unnecessary. When I came back later, our bill was less than the estimate! Also- when we came to pick up our healthy puppy, the vet we were working with was sitting close to another patient talking about their family pet that may not be coming home. He was very compassionate and listened to everything the woman was saying. read more
