Started with a balloon for an ear which is considered a hematoma. Very painful and full of liquid. Our poor dog has been suffering for two weeks and nothing has worked. We came to town but normal vet was not available. This place was not only able to get us in right away but performed surgery the same day! $130 visit charge not including surgery but totally worth it!! These people are amazing!! They have the best patience and customer service! They are caring, loving and compassionate! We will definitely be coming back! Beathoven says thank you !!! This place is way over priced & no discounts. I paid over $400 for one cat. Wellness exam was over $200. Best advice: Choose a clinic

I can't attest to their in-person services, but I called them to receive medical advice concerning my pet that ingested chocolate. The lady at the desk, M, was very sweet as she recommended I administer 3-4 ounces of hydrogen peroxide to my pet to induce vomiting, to rid his system of the chocolate. He vomited twice and we went to the emergency care clinic just in case, and turns out 3 mils, NOT OUNCES, is recommended. Three ounces is SIGNIFICANTLY higher than what is recommended to induce vomiting. Three OUNCES can cause further issues in the lining of the GI tract including stomach ulcers. I highly recommended Blue Pearl emergency vet clinic. I DO NOT recommend Westfield. Thank you for reading. read more

My dog recently had a series of issues that required two different surgeries . I was kept informed and up to date on all things including estimated costs. Despite her series of issues, they gave the very best care and she is alive and well at home now- all because of their great care! I'm sure this vet is great for very wealthy people of Johnston but definitely won't be back. I brought my dog in the morning they said "sign this form it's in case we have to do an X-ray or bloodwork" they didn't call me to ask if anything was ok or tell me my options or pricing. They have hun an X-ray blood work multiple lab testing shots medicine food and anything else they could tack on they're really just trying to get as much money out of you as possible. I've gone to probabaly 10 different vets and they have always called and explained the options and how much it was going to be. It was $500 if you were curious which we could not afford. Then they made excuses and said that they didn't do anything wrong since I signed the form lol ya I signed it you said it was for X-rays not these 39 things I would have never done all this and that makes them shady and dishonest. read more

Our family has 3 dogs that have always been under Westfield's care. (Before the dogs we had 2 cats.) Been patients there for at least 15 years. We love all of the doctors. Current staff/techs are also great with each dog. We have a shy, nervous guy, a laid back hound, and a husky with major health issues. For those who would complain about cost, all I can say is, you get what you pay for. read more

Wonderful and loving end of life care for our pet. First time there. They took us at short notice, same day, during a snow storm, for our pet that needed to be put to sleep. Had an appointment for a few days later but our pet declined faster than expected. Thanks to the staff and Dr. Caryn for handling this tough day in a caring and loving manner. I don't think we've ever had a better vet office experience. From the highly-attentive and caring staff to the doctors who will actually sit on the floor with your pup to take vitals in a more natural and comfortable setting, this team really has their craft down. Wait time has always been very minimal and appointment scheduling pretty easy and quick. They don't up-sell medicines or products and really focus on your individual pet's needs. What really sealed this place for us (and we were initially guided there by a soaring recommendation from another client) was that they saw we had been getting excessively charged from another place - in another state - for something we didn't really need for our pups. Huge savings and one less thing for our pups to endure. Kudos to this staff for their remarkable work. It's changed my mind on how a vet experience should look and feel. read more

Dr. Safris and all of the staff are amazing to my dog and cat. They are friendly, professional and reasonably priced. They always have a rebate so the prices on all my pet meds is the same as the discount online stores. I have traveled twice with my pets and had concerns both times. They talked me through the remedy over the phone and were so helpful. You can tell that they truly love animals. I highly recommend Westfield! read more
