    Tori shoyu ramen

What a great find! We searched for ramen and Ippudo came up so we gave it a try! Wonderful food! My vegetarian companion had the Spicy tofu - rich with veggies and a sumptuous spicy topping, and the Goma Kyuri, delicious cucumber with a lovely sesame topping. I went for the Tori Shoyu with a side of hot sauce. It more than satisfied my craving for ramen and was full of goodies. I give this eatery a full five stars for great service and great food and pleasant atmosphere!

Was getting tired of French and Italian food so I looked on Yelp and found ippudo. I had this last year when we visited Japan and we loved it. Servers was so nice and even get free water not them trying to sell you bottled water like all the other restaurants. We had the crunchy tasty cucumbers and then the karaage and then came out delicious ramen. I highly recommend

Atmosphere: Ippudo has a very nice interior that is clean and organized. We have to mention, the bathroom at Ippudo may be the best, cleanest toilet in all of Paris. Service: The service was good, and our food came out in a timely manner. However, we were double charged for food that we weren't really satisfied with. Food: We ordered the Karaku Chashu and the Akamaru Tamago. The Karaku Chashu was not that spicy but had great flavor. The noodles were excellent and the pork was very tender. The pork broth of the Akamaru ramen was deep, rich, and flavorful. However, the egg was refrigerator-cold and was not soft-boiled -- most of the yolk was fully cooked. We asked for another soft-boiled egg, and the egg we received the second time was also cold and had a partially cooked yolk. In the end, we were charged for 2 eggs, which we were disappointed by since we left the first egg to the side and did not eat it. Overall: We enjoyed our meal at Ippudo and would have maybe given it 5 stars if the eggs were served hot and not overdone. We would come back again to try some of their other ramen with hopes that the preparation of the food is improved.

I went in the late afternoon about an hour before closing and got seated right away! I believe I ordered the Akamaru Tamago which was pretty spicy and came with an egg. The noodles were perfectly cooked and the broth was delicious! Service was great as well. Definitely a good place to stop by if you're craving Asian food on your Eurotrip!

After a long rainy day traveling to Versailles, a warm bowl of ramen was what our group needed. Found Ippudo on yelp and was treated to a pretty authentic bowl of Japanese ramen in Paris. We appropriated that the server ask each of us how we liked our ramen cooked. The broth was also very rich. The thing we didn't care for was the katsu rice bow. The creamy cole slaw didn't go well with the rest of the dish. But that is nothing minor that we didn't think too much about since ramen was what we were after. Overall this is a good place to come for a good bowl of ramen and not break the bank.

OH.MY.GOODNESS!!! PARIS! Yes...PARIS! I can't believe that of all the places in the world that Paris would be the place where I would experience the best ramen I've had so far. It's hard to put into words and describe the goodness and the delight I had after this dining encounter. It was great! They offer choices on how you wanted your noodles prepared; I opted for al dente (kata). Ordered the Karaka--their classic tonkotsu pork broth topped pork belly with "karaka" (spicy goodnes) and the Paris exclusive Tori Shoyu (Chicken soup). We also got the Tamago (soft-boiled egg) option for both ramen. If you don't like it spicy, you can ask them to put the spicy paste on the side and just add to your liking.

Ramen is one my preferred soul foods. And Ippudo Saint Germain didn't not disappoint. As savory as the NY or Tokyo locations. Great, great ramen. The music was particularly enjoyable this evening. Great mix.

Since they only serve one kind of ramen bowl with a chicken base I had pretty high expectations. Sadly the two slices of boiled chicken breast while pretty fresh tasting were incredibly dry and bland. The broth had a heavy soy component that completely obliterated any hint of poultry. Noodles lacked texture and "snap" and their amount quite meagre. As a first ramen experience in the city of light and such a hip neighbourhood, it was a surprising letdown.

Ramen is one of my favorite foods, and since I'm visiting Paris I figured I try a spot here. After doing some research I found a lot of good reviews for Ippudo. Well I'm so glad I gave this place a try, the ramen was delicious. The broth had such a good taste without being so heavy, the sashu was very soft, and the noodles were perfectly cook. Also the pricing was bad at all. I would give it 5 stars however the service wasn't as great, but hey! at least the soup was.

My coworkers and I quite literally stumbled into Ippudo in St. Germain while on our shopping spree around town. It's a popular, well-renowned ramen shop with authentic roots in Japan but it was great to try really good ramen here in Paris! I had the Akamaru Modern ramen with thin, but chewy noodles, umami miso paste, pork belly chashu (bbq pork), cabbage, sesame kikurage mushrooms, and garlic flavoring. It was a deliciously packed bowl and wonderful, refreshing change to my palatte in Paris during my work trip. Would definitely recommend as a dinner course- it's quite heavy for lunch. But if you're up for it, go for it!

Never made it to the one in NYC, but Ramen AND in Paris? It can't be beat. The servers were very nice, we came right around noon and it wasn't busy yet but within 15 minutes of sitting down the place was already packed and there was a long line! We all got different ramen bowls, and they all tasted great. Can't wait to come back!

Always up for a bowl of ramen, I can easily be persuaded to eat at Ippudo. I've been to both restaurants in the last two months (it's that time of year when only a steaming broth of ramen will cure the winter chill), both times with English-speaking friends. I'm not sure if the staff is used to welcoming tourists, but every time the waiter or waitress came over to our table, they insisted on speaking English! Ippudo gives you five choices of soups: the classic pork-based (Shiromaru), the "modern" (Akamaru--with the addition of oil and an umami sauce), the spicy (Karaka), the chicken-based (Tori Shoyu), and the vegetarian. You can add extra toppings for 1-3€: marinated eggs, seaweed, extra mushrooms, bamboo, more pork, and...cheese and pepper. Then you choose your noodle consistency, from yawa (well-cooked) to bari-kata (al dente). The ramen is filling enough (especially when accompanied by a large and bubbly Asahi beer), but should you want to share starters, the crunchy cucumber is a good bet. It's topped with sesame and vinegar, guaranteed to satiate your umami cravings. I've tried the three pork-based broths, and my favorite is the Shiromaru Tamago yawa, the classic with a marinated egg and soft noodles. Next time I may test the untried: a supplement of Emmenthal and pepper.

This place does seafood broth based ramen and I could not wait to try it. First off the decor is very unique. It looks like you just stepped into a outdoor Japanese seafood market with fish, eel, crab hanging around (fake of course). We sat down and ordered right away since we were both starving. As an appetizer I got the edamame which was steamed fresh with flakes of salt. Very delicious. I got the lobster bisque based ramen. It was very rich with great flavors. It came with sliced duck breast, citrus flavored scallop, a soy sauce egg and other veggies. One of the most flavorful ramens I've ever had. I enjoyed every bite and slurp of it! My friend got the sardine shoyu ramen which came with two slices of sardines. He enjoyed this as well. We were very happy with our meals and the staff was so nice! One of my favorite meals I had in Paris for sure.

I found that hard to believe until I tried it myself -- maybe one of the best ramens I've ever had in my life. The initial plan wasn't to come here, but since a lot of restaurants are closed on Mondays, we decided to give this a shot. Surprisingly, there was no line or wait at 5pm. We were seated immediately at this Tsukiji fish market-themed restaurant. Crazy how realistic the decor is and actually teleports you to Japan. You can see all the consideration that was put into the detailing of this establishment -- huge tuna on the table, the piles of insulated foam containers, hanging squid, and even the residual "puddles of water" on the table. We ordered the Sardine Shoyu (the classic) and Sardine Bomb (the strongest). Opted for chef style, which is a few euros more, but added extra protein such as an egg and chicken/pork chashu. Both took a bit of time to come out, but let me tell you -- it was absolutely worth it. The broth was rich, umami and not too fishy. The sardine bomb is a bit of a thicker and more potent broth, but wasn't overpowering at all. The noodles were wavy and chewy (maybe buckwheat?). Each bowl was loaded with tender pieces of protein that tied together seamlessly with the broth and noodles. We left more than satisfied from this meal, but will definitely think about this bowl on a regular basis. Well-deserved recognition!

Started with the edamame which is a must have for me at ramen places and it was not salty or had soy sauce with it but it tasted great plain. Being pescatarian I had the epitempura ramen which is shrimp based and the broth had a nice blend of spices and it was traditional shoyu. The egg was nicely seasoned and was a level up from just a standard ramen egg. The tempura got soggy and split apart really fast- I would suggest eating this first. Also noting that it was a normal portion and not a ginormous American ramen bowl. My mom got the saumon caramelisee which was "delicious", but if she had a note it would be the rice toward the bottom absorbed the majority of the sauce. It was a small restaurant with plastic barriers every couple of tables. The service was really timely as well--I just wish they had more veg/dietary friendly options for the rice bowls and katsu part of the menu seeing as there is also only one tofu ramen and the rest are pork based

As a solo diner on a Tuesday evening, I only had to wait a few minutes. It's a small place and I expect if your group has more than 4 people, you'll have difficulty with seating. To start, I had the spicy wontons. I had expected them to be the traditional Sichuan style but instead, they were like crab rangoon filled with shrimp. At first glance, I was disappointed, but they were indeed delicious! To settle the Parisian palette, you can dip 'em in mayo if you like. I had the spicy yokohama ramen. Again I thought in traditional terms and expected a tantan men but instead it was the regular yokohama ramen with a side of hot sauce. In the end, I actually liked this as you can control the heat level. The noodles were amazing, and the chashu and egg were cooked exactly the right amount of time. While the food is really good, it is slightly pricey. For example, 3 wontons cost €7 and their homemade hot sauce cost €2 for a little dipping bowl.
