First and Last time I will ever get my taxes done here!!! Way over priced THIEVES and they claim they will take care of Irs issues but that's a TOTAL LIE!!! No one answers their phones and they don't tell you anything different then what's on the irs.gov page. It's been 5 months and I still haven't received my taxes and the amount they charged me was supposed to be taken out of my refund but they couldn't wait they went ahead and deducted $318 out of my account without my authorization causing overdraft fees! To say the least I am Furious with this place and highly recommended TO AVOID THIS NIGHTMARE OF A PLACE!! read more

Tlaoli and IRBusiness have become more responsive since I left the original review. I appreciate that, however I wish it didn't take for this to start pushing things forward. We are in contact with the IRS, but a form needs to be faxed in order for us to proceed. I attempted twice myself but somehow they didn't receive it either time. Waiting for Tlaoli to take a shot at it now. I had hoped this would be a hands off process but it has been very hands on. I looked at my first emails to Tlaoli back in January 2018-it's now June 2019. Hoping we can end this soon, because it's a huge stress hanging over my head. Tlaoli asked me to remove the review but I said I would update with the latest instead. Slightly annoyed that this is more of a priority than finishing the tax situation first. He seems like a decent guy, and I am confident he will come through. I read the good reviews here and felt comfortable giving them a shot. Thought I would save myself time and headaches having someone else deal with it. Could not be further from the truth. Over a year later, no progress has been made on my situation. In the amount of time I have spent chasing Tlaoli and associates up, I could have done the work myself. At this point I just want my money back, but communication is slow & unreliable, so I'm not sure when or if I'll hear back about that. Exploring my legal options for a refund. I have gone for past three years because it's near my home. Im a healthcare worker who works at the clinic and see patients with autoimmune diseases senior and vulnerable people. I work really hard to not get sick for this reasons but also by basic principle. The front desk person clearly had symptoms and didn't respect the 6 feet, no one was wearing masks , no hand sanitizers available for people. All this in a community that is the most impacted by covid deaths the Latino community- why so much reckless carelessness? We are not a hospital, you can carry your own santizer and we are very up to date with the latest studies on masks and social distancse and the ineffective use of them. Very unprofessional. Left a review about their spanish language skills since I sat waiting for over two hours. I was bored, so at the front desk I saw an invitation to write a review. I had noticed a client that was new to the tax system, and overheard how everything was being explained. I wrote a review stating that personnel should be more aware of how they explain things by using appropriate spanish vocabulary. I was confronted a few minutes later, and was told to leave. I came into do my taxes. Im a caregiver and had a side business. She told me that i couldn't write anything off or claim losses which doesnt make any sense. Then she said i could get money back because i made less than $6,000 even thought my caregiver income is nontaxable. I told her that my brother will claim as a dependent and she said she will still be able to do it. Come to find out that when my brother did his taxes, he could not put me as a dependent because she didnt put me as a dependent when she filed my taxes. Instead of giving me good information, she just wanted to make a quick $100. Ps the lady was also rude. I dont remember her name but she was considered the most experienced in the office. read more

I've been using Yelp for a while now to search local restaurants, bars, and business but never felt compelled to sign up and write a review ,until now. I went to RIT in March due to a good review i saw on here. Its about a mile away from my home. Not knowing really if i was going to be pleased with my income tax prep and being that they had only one review i took a huge risk... Im a Business owner so at the end of the year i end up owing a lot more money to IRS then i would like. I work hard for my money and in the past years i have been paying at least $4500. So i decided to not go back to the same place i'd been doing my taxes all those years. And from the previous yelper saying she saved money i was willing to give Rodriguez tax a shot. I came in and it was a small establishment. Very humble atmosphere. Which doesnt really matter as this isnt a spa or restaurant where its partly based on the esthetics. Anyway, i came in and i was asked to sign in. I brought all my receipts, paperwork, documentation...everything i needed to get my taxes done. They took all my info, and then Andres the owner and my life saver...did what i call some "Magic"! I dont know how he did it...but he did! I ended up paying $490!!!!!!!!!!! I couldnt believe it! I looked it over to make sure it was all legit and correct. Yes they are awesome! Im going on a shopping spree and vacation with all that money i saved...which was "only" a mere $4,000!!!! ;) Oh yea and they do insurance too. Im coming back to have him hook me up with a car and life insurance. Im hoping to save even more money! -A happy customer! read more

great service for first couple of years, but last year they dropped a bomb on me by more than doubling their fee after my taxes were done last year. if i had been for warned that would have helped, but it wasn't cool. they did a poor job of explaining why the fee was increased so dramatically, but it was't good enough. they began texting me with silly explanations, offers, and after a while I had to say "please stop texting me." they wished me luck in finding another business and after doing some shopping on line I indeed found another place that was a great deal, good service, great yelp reviews, and a good return on my taxes. good luck to you irs services. you won't be getting my $. read more
