He was kind and welcoming and we went there for many years. He has a grandson he adored. The office had a fabulous staff at the beginning. Once they retired and left. A shady set of front desk workers replaced them. And some slick, underhanded stuff that was unbeknownst to me was happening. Which k learned later. But I still patronized them and loved them all. They had an exceptional dog groomer & boarding in the back. Melanye who now owns Melanye's Paw Spa. She was greatly missed once she left. Things was just not the same. She was the backbone of the practice. The vet techs was nice and caring too. I hated leaving there too. But this was one of the best Vets I knew. They are closed now. I pray Dr. Montgomery is ok. He was up in age about 90. A sweet old soul. I do miss him.

When we moved back here with our little princess, Jasmine, I hated to leave our vet. We took her to…read morea vet closer to our house for her shots and they were okay. Okay just isn't good enough when it comes to our baby. When it came time to board her for a weekend trip, we called Greenbrook. I was impressed from the minute we walked in the door! The place is tastefully decorated and very clean. It doesn't smell like wet dogs. Ms Kay, one of the vet techs, came out to pet her and kissed on her, and Jasmine warmed right up to her. They gave her time to get comfortable with her surroundings, and get to know her, before taking her back. They let us walk her back and see where she would be staying. We felt very comfortable leaving her there. We returned again when little Houndini broke her crate and tore a ligament in her hind leg and cut her belly up in the process of her great escape. Again, they were absolutely wonderful with her, and took the time to explain her injuries, care, and healing to me. Dr. McCain took the time to explain that some adopted pets never get over their abandonment, and suggested things that could help her. After she won the battle of the crate, and I gave up on trying to keep her in it, I called them in a panic after I came home to a chewed up bar, shredded sofa, pillows and trash all over the den. They recommended a Thunder Shirt to calm her, and also called another patient for recommendations on a pet sitter. The Thunder Shirt didn't work at all. A few days later, Kay called to follow up with us. Although I sincerely appreciate that, it's not feasible to take her to daycare every time I need to go to the grocery store or out to dinner. Their refusal to treat the anxiety with medication makes me wonder how many of their patients have wound up in shelters because parents can't deal with the destruction, and I can't bear the thought of how she must feel every time we leave her. I'm holding out a star based on that. We just returned again for shots. Ms. Kay still loved on her, and Kevin was great with her as well. I can tell Jazzy really likes Dr. McCain by the way her little tail starts wagging as soon as he walks in the room. Shots were very reasonable at $93. They are super friendly and it's obvious that they really love animals. They're not just showing up to get paid. I think for a normal dog, this place would be a wonderful vet's office to use. Unfortunately, with the severity of Jazzy's separation anxiety, which only seems to be getting worse, we're going to have to find a new vet who is willing to treat it.

She referred us to a local oncologist, who was (understandably) pricey. One of the many things our sweet cat needed was near-daily subcutaneous fluids, which are difficult to do. They allowed us to bring in our cat and his fluids bag, and they set up his drip for us free of charge. When we eventually lost him, they were incredibly supportive and kind. A couple years later, we ended up with a cat diagnosed with cancer (squamous-cell carcinoma) this time, and another who was FeLV-positive (from birth). Dr. Briggs was supportive of our decision to continue end-of-life compassion care for as long as their quality of life was maintained, and was more than willing to provide the appropriate prescriptions to manage their pain and other symptoms. She worked with the local compounding pharmacy to ensure we could get easily-administered liquid medications, so we wouldn't have to stress out our little ones with pills. When the time eventually came to say goodbye to each of those cats, Dr. Briggs made the time to be with us and compassionately administer the euthanasia drugs. She administers a sedative first, which allows for a more humane, restful passing. She and the staff at Southwind have been nearly as heartbroken as we were each time we lost a pet. Our other pets also love Southwind! We have one cat who has been incredibly healthy her whole life and only goes to the vet for her checkups, but because they are a Cat-Friendly practice, they understand how to manage her anxiety about the vet. Our dog LOVES going to the vet, and she always gets TONS of hugs, pets, and cuddles from Dr. Briggs and the technicians. We've seen Dr. Cooper and Dr. Mosely on occasion when Dr. Briggs has been unavailable, and we've had similar experiences with both of them. I thought they were a little expensive on the first visit, but this 2nd visit was very problematic. I took my dog for grooming. They originally said $45 for a puppy cut. So I scheduled. (For context, my regular groomer that came to my house was about $80.) Last night, they texted me asking for my rabies vax, which was done in another state. During my 1st vet visit, I had asked them to transfer the records, but I guess this wasn't done. Without the rabies vax, they wouldn't groom. So, I asked them to request records again, but if she wasn't up to date, I asked them to give her the vax. They wouldn't do a vax without a complete physical. I dropped my dog off and came home. As I was about to pull into my neighborhood, they called and said I needed to come back to sign a paper. So, I went back to sign. Then, they texted me an estimate for $248 (you can see from photo) for physical, bloodwork, all vaxes, and grooming. I said I didn't need blood work. So, they reduced the price to $205 (you can see from photo-but may need to click on it to see it fully). They later called and said my dog needed to be sedated to be groomed (never happened in the 3 years I've had her--she is tiny and has no teeth), and that they could only do a bath today. I went to pick her up, and they said that she was already up to date on rabies vax(!!) but gave me a TN tag. They first charged me $160. Then, when I asked about not needing the rabies and only getting a bath, she told me $210. I was stunned. How is it possible that I had to pay more for a bath with no rabies vax than a grooming with a rabies vax? And I had to pay for a physical when she already had her rabies vax, which they should have known from our first visit? So, basically, I woke up this morning thinking my dog would get a grooming for $45, but I left paying $205 for a bath, wasted time, and stress.

I expressed to the vet my concerns about Wednesday and mentioned that she's not very good with people sometimes because she gets so anxious. It was really nice to be reassured by the vet that she has 2 smaller dogs of her own that are the same and she'll be sure to help Wednesday avoid any more stress. When I picked her up after her appointment, Wednesday wasn't too stressed out and overall seemed happy. All my concerns were addressed and communicated to me and I was just really happy that Wednesday seemed to be in better hands compared to our visits to other Banfield locations (CA Petsmarts). We will definitely be back :)

She is rude, has no empathy, and makes animal owners feel as though they are a bother. Don't trust the care of your precious babies to this establishment. The Manager of this this establishment didn't even care to address my concerns.
