Now, their waiting area is very comfortable with new furniture and a great flat screen tv plus coffee! This beats the waiting area at the Wappinger Falls Mercedes Benz dealership (an establishment I detest), believe it or not. Phone service is now very responsive and cheerful. Now, I'm not saying C&J's was no good (they actually gave me a ride home when a quick fix turned out to be a much bigger deal and didn't want me to waste my time sitting in the waiting room). Still, the new owners seem to be highly motivated to make this a repair shop you don't mind going to, offering numerous amenities as previously noted. I think these guys will get all my business now. I asked if I could get an appointment for the next day, and counter guy says he's not sure when the forms will be arriving. I was lucky to get an appointment for a couple of days later with a very good shop in Highland. When I related my Mavis story to the (very reputable, and honest) mechanic, he started laughing. He told me that they don't use "state inspection forms", all the former paperwork is now done electronically in an Ipad or tablet. I need new tires, right now. No way will I visit this or any other Mavis.

The family-owned business is full of hospitality and professionalism. They were able to fix my car in a couple of hours. They were very busy, but the mechanic took the time to show me why he thought someone had tried to break into my car and that was why the inside mechanics of the door were messed up.
