I was in the Irving area because of a long-term business trip and after I moved here, my face started breaking out severely. My face is very sensitive, so most breakouts leave pigmentation, which causes a lot of stress for me. I went to Irina to get a facial with hopes to calm my acne down. As soon as I got to Irina's spa, I got a lot of advice regarding my vitamin intake, eating habits, and skincare products to use. SHE IS SUPER KNOWLEDGEABLE. I actually purchased some products from Irina directly, which was very convenient so I don't have to go looking for these things. I got a deep detox facial, which consisted of microdermabrasion, enzyme peel, PCA mask with salicylic acid. After only one facial I could tell the difference in the smoothness of my skin. I applied few of the products that Irina recommended that contained vitamin A, C, and E, along with a soothing serum that I have at home. And after one night, all the big pimples have dried out and healed and my face was a lot smoother. Two days after, my forehead peeled severely (with no pain) while I was taking a shower, and I can already tell the difference in my pigmentation. My apologies to Irina for not preparing this write-up earlier. I went to Kanash Skin Care back in December because my hands were so dry and chapped that the skin was peeling and cuts had formed all over my hands. I had no less than seven band aids on my fingers at one point. I tried ordinary lotions and vaseline, all with only temporary help (i.e., for a few hours at best). After reviewing several dermatologists in the Irving area and discovering that most of them are more geared to botox injections than various skin ailments -- and that they offer enormously expensive products in addition to their office fees -- I decided to take a chance on seeing Irina Kanash. She does not charge a consultation fee. You only pay for services and products she provides. Irina listened to my issue and suggested both an internal solution and an external one. She told me to start taking a probiotic and a fish oil supplement, and she showed me exactly which ones to purchase, as both are available on Amazon. So, I took a picture of the bottles and that part was done. As for the external, she suggested a dry skin soap and two products which I'll call creams. She also said that if these don't work, I might want to try a colloidal cream, and she showed me a blue jar of it. I decided to purchase the dry skin soap and the creams. It took a couple days for me to notice a difference, but the difference was definite. The cracked skin healed, and the product lasted at least until evening, when it was time to apply it again. I did notice, however, that the products only lasted about a day. So, when they were out, I purchased the colloidal cream from a Whole Foods store. That really did the trick. Irina was incredible! I live in Colorado Springs and found myself being in Dallas for a lengthy time and went to see her for a Brazilian wax. she was UH mazing. When i entered her room, it was very spa like, she had recessed lighting, cool spa colors and a TV that showed relaxing pictures so that when you laid down on the cushy table/bed you'd see relaxing pictures of the ocean/mountains. She also had relaxing music too to boot. Regarding the wax: getting brazilians is never 'ticklish' but i must say the wax she uses was amazing. It didn't hurt as bad as the one i go to back home. She used a hard wax (the best) and i was very pleased with the results. She also ended up doing an eye brow and tint wax---HIGHLY!!! recommend! She shared with me that she has a graduated degree in math and is all about symmetry and let me tell you ladies my brows are ON flek! :) Irnia's personality is also very delightful, she truly cares about her work and has a lot of passion for what she does. If you use Retin-A or have sensitive skin, Irina is the best! I've been coming to Irina for about 7 years, even though I no longer work or live near her salon. I drive 30 miles roundtrip to come see her for eyebrow waxing and tinting, lip wax, and Brazilian wax. The two times I tried going to someone else for brows and Brazilian were complete disasters - I have very sensitive skin, and Irina always makes sure I look fantastic when I leave. She put some new pack, squeezed the clogs and when i got back home i got large wounds on my face and she did one free microderm for me and i went near her for help. She did not admit that was the fault with her products and service, and told me it was my skin . But i never had such pimples on my face and she really worsen my face. I'm writing this review because I cannot believe how amazing my skin looks after seeing Irina one time. I've only had a handful of facials in my life (mostly at spas while on vacation), but I decided to book one on a whim. I found Irina online and booked via text. At my appointment she was friendly, asked questions, and had lots of recommendations. I loved that she seemed to care as much about being healthy as looking good. I did not find her pushy at all, but she suggested a microdermabrasion (which I'd never had) and I'm so glad I agreed. The process was enjoyable and my skin really does look AMAZING. Several days later I'm still impressed by the results. I also bought a serum from her that I already love and she gave me samples of another product I plan to purchase later. I made an appointment on a whim after seeing her reviews on Yelp and have never been more pleased with an 'impulse' buy! I requested the microderm and chemical peel package but Irina redirected me to a better option for my skin at a comparable price (fruit acid peel, derma-planing, oxygen treatment, a fantastic mask and LED).
