This is my new favorite spa in DFW. There are so many saunas to choose from and is very clean. I opted for a foot massage service as well, it was worth every penny. The wet spa area is always my favorite way to end my time at a spa and found the area clean and well maintained. I emerged from the spa a new person. Can we talk about how wonderful the food selection is? There's juices, smoothies, ramen, ice cream, etc. they even have a giant menu detailing what's vegetarian and what has meat. Pro Tips: bring a beach towel for the super hot saunas as it's required for entry. Bring your own toiletries to shower between the sauna and the wet spa. Go early to avoid the crowds. read more

King spa and sauna was not a relaxing experience at all. Taking into account that it was a Saturday (midday) when we arrived, we expected it to be busy. What I didn't expect is to be greet by a security guard (or possibly a police officer) who aggressively demanded my shoes be removed while he walked in no shoe areas with his on. The facility was not well maintained, with common areas needing to be reset and wet floors needing to be mopped. Mats intended for safety were wet and slimy. Personal experience - I was surprised by such small children being in fully nude pool areas. If this place was rebranded as a social club with saunas and steam rooms I may have had a different expectation but I was disappointed by the loud club environment in the hydrotherapy pools. read more

This was my first time going to a Korean spa that is similar to what I have seen in Korean dramas. There were a lot more things to do for the entrance fee than I expected. It was $50 to get in. I did not get a massage, facial or any other services they offered. They take your payment upon entering, give you your bracelet for buying anything inside, and clothes to change. The women's locker area was spacious. However, there were only 2 small bathrooms and one sink. The was a pool/hot tub, but you had to be naked to use. There were towels you can grab, but not a lot of amenities were available. Outside of the locker room is the common area for men and women to chat, eat, chill, and go to different types of saunas. There were about 8 different types of saunas. Outside each door, there is a sign that lists the benefits of that specific sauna. It gets loud at times and people don't always say quiet even with signs everywhere. There were plenty of tables to eat after ordering food. You just pay with the bracelet and pay when exiting. There were a lot of food choices on the menu, but some items were expensive. We shared a dokbokki with ramen. It was good, but nothing exceptional. The water station is free. There is an area with recliners and a projector with TV. Overall, my friends and I spent about 2 hours here. It was a good place to relax after getting off the plane. I wish there were even more activities to do with the $50 entrance fee. The amenities in the locker could have been better. read more

This was my first time ever being at a Korean spa and it will not be my last. I was unsure what to expect from the overall experience but was pleasantly surprised by how clean the facility was and how much time can slip away when you're enjoying yourself. It's of course a little pricey but you do get quite a bit for the cost of admission. The run down: The gender specific locker rooms and the corresponding hot tubs/saunas were very nice. It is very much just an open room with showers and vetting levels of hot tubs and a cold plunge. I was there on a Saturday afternoon so it was fairly busy but still plenty of room in the sauna/pools. I did not participate in the Waterpark but noticed several coming in and out of the locker room who were. I started and ended my day in the sauna and it did not disappoint. At all. The rest of the spa was well organized and fun to explore. I found the saunas towards the back past the big screen to be my favorites. Varying levels of heat and areas for reprieve. The cold room was also an amazing cool off when I was needing a break from the saunas. I also received a massage that was a little pricey but nice. I felt a tad awkward as the Massuer watched me fill out my tip card following the session. Lastly, the food court was great. A little slower on service but decent flavor and fresh tasting. The menu items were a little pricey but after hours in the pools and a massage, it was worth it. I have been coming here at least once a month for the last 3 years. King Spa has seriously gone downhill and this was the worst spa experiences I've ever had. I understand it was a holiday weekend, so I expected it to be crowded, but overcrowding does not excuse the complete lack of rule enforcement, hygiene, safety, and basic respect for other guests. The entire atmosphere was loud, chaotic, and stressful instead of peaceful and relaxing. People were talking loudly inside the saunas, yelling across rooms, laughing nonstop, and treating the spa like a social club instead of a wellness space. Even areas that are clearly intended to be quiet had constant noise and disruption. What made the experience even worse was the behavior of many guests and the complete lack of staff intervention. People were openly using phones in the nude locker room and nude bathhouse areas despite the clearly posted rules prohibiting phones in those spaces. That is a massive privacy violation and made me extremely uncomfortable. Nobody from staff seemed to care or enforce anything. The hygiene was also honestly disgusting. Many guests were clearly not showering before entering the baths, hot tubs, and cold plunge pools. There was hair floating everywhere because people refuse to tie their hair up before getting in the water. At one point I literally had to pull someone else's long hair off my body while trying to relax in the bath. Completely revolting. The bathrooms and some of the saunas also smelled bad and felt dirty. The locker rooms were not being maintained well, especially considering how busy the spa was. What upset me the most was how dismissive and inattentive the staff were when concerns were brought up. Complaints about noise, hygiene, and guest behavior were not taken seriously. Rules are apparently just decorations on the wall because nobody enforces them. The environment also felt genuinely unsafe. After politely asking certain guests to lower their voices and respect the quiet areas, some became aggressive and confrontational. A spa should never feel hostile or unsafe to the point where guests are worried about speaking up. I've been here before and the experience used to be much more peaceful and controlled, which makes this decline even more disappointing. Now it feels like management has completely lost control of the environment. For the amount of money they charge, this experience was absolutely unacceptable. If you are looking for a clean, relaxing, respectful spa experience, I would strongly recommend going somewhere else. read more

Korean body scrubs are done in a short of assembly line, which didn't bother me but might bother others. Overall the service was great but facility was so-so. I've come to King Spa a few times and have also visited Korean saunas in LA an Seoul. While King Spa is not quite as incredible as what you might get in LA or Seoul, it's 9/10 of the way there. A few highlights: 1. The temperature in both the saunas and the tubs gets piping hot. Way hotter than your standard US spa. 2. The fire sudatorium, one of the dry sauna rooms in the back, is both a hard-to-find room and incredible. It feels great to roast in there for a bit and then dip into the cold room to cool down. 3. The massage services are actually both great and readily available. Just walk up to the front desk to book. Other places can be booked out weeks in advance, but here I've had no trouble just walking up while I was there. Don't sleep on the food either, the cafeteria, while not amazing, is solid enough that it usually doesn't make sense to eat elsewhere. read more

You're greeted by the front concierge and have to take your shoes off before going through the doors to the spa. It's a requirement, not a suggestion! The space is beautiful and very clean if you can imagine. You're visually stimulated with the high ceilings, statues, and different spaces within the building. There is a service desk to help you decide what services you want to purchase such as massages or scrubs. You are assigned a key chain to stay with you during your duration of time. There is a pool area in sections in the back that is as long as the building, with hot tubs along each section. There is a sign that you have to be clothed because it is a FAMILY area so that is important not to miss. There are separated women and men locker rooms of course. In the locker room, you go to your assigned locker, per keychain, and get undressed. You have the option of spa clothes of course or go straight to your scrub session. There are isolated rooms like salt, hot sauna, ice cold, etc. for you to explore outside of the locker rooms. There is a huge theater to look at movies or just lay in the chairs and sleep. A lot of people were sleeping in the chairs or laying down in the back rooms. Plenty of rooms to go and try out for relaxation. The massages are off to the right upon entry after the cafeteria. I got a massage and it was absolutely amazing. It hurt so good but he adjusted pressure as needed and gave me tips after I was done. My friend got a scrub and looked as bright as the sun lol. Her skin was so supple and smooth. I can't say enough about the food! It's so easy to order and there is a huge variety to choose from. I'm speaking from personal experience, it's top notch Korean food! All throughout the spa you can sit and eat, spread out and lounge, watch social media on your phone (which we chose to avoid to disconnect for a bit) and literally stay there all day. We came here on a weekend day and although the parking lot was full, when we got inside it wasnt super cramped or anything because this is actually a very huge space that can accommodate many. We spent about 2.5 hours here and it was time well spent. The first set of baths that is single-gender is not clothing optional. This space is the smallest one with 3 hot tubs that are kind of small and then one large pool area. There was also a steam room. My partner said his side was too crowded while the female side was not as crowded but there were waves of people. The shared pool and hot tub area you do wear your swimming clothes and there's much to choose from in terms of spa jets and pool areas. There's also a bar area. In the locker rooms at this portion, there's a spin-dry machine for your swim suits, which is very nice. The sauna area is also co-ed and there is also a small movie theater, seating area in the middle with comfy chairs, and a restaurant with Korean and American food. The sauna areas were clean but some of them were so hot you couldn't really go in barefoot (you'd need slippers). There as a very wide variety of saunas though and that was nice. Overall I was very impressed with the amenities though some areas are smaller than others. For $50 a person, it's a nice way to spend the day. read more

The negative reviews scared me a bit since my husband and I rarely have time for relaxing day together, but Spa Castle is currently closed and we don't want to splurge for World Spring, so I'm glad we went to King Spa anyway. I honestly think it can still be a decent and relaxing experience if you know what to expect! Our last visit was over 8 years ago (pre-Covid), so here's the latest scoop plus a few tips: ** Admission Tip ** Skip paying full price. You can buy a discounted admission at Ko-Mart (Korean grocery store just 2 minutes away). At the Ko Mart cashier, the ticket is $42 vs. $50 at King Spa. ** Waterpark Area ** - They no longer have slides. - The jacuzzi bubble jets weren't working (water was warm-ish but not great). - The big pool had multiple working jets, but the water was a bit chilly. It might be ok if you're visiting during summer. Honestly, if you're short on time, I wouldn't bother spending much time in the waterpark. ** Bath Pools (Gender-Segregated, Nude Area) ** - You must shower before entering the bath pools, and you must be nude. - There are 3 warm pools with working jets and 1 cold pool (jets were off in the cold pool). i have been coming on a regular basis to this spa every 2 to 3 months during the past 4 years. The facilities are on the average okay compared to others and the wide range of wellness services they offer is hard to find in ONE LOCATION ALL TOGETHER in the DFW area. It is for this reason only that i have no choice but to come back to this spa for my regular wellness needs. But the critical thing i want to share to the public is the RUDENESS AND ARROGANCE of most attendants especially those at the reception and service counters. Not a single time that i went to the spa had i received a treatment from the front desk and service counters without rudeness and arrogance. At this point i am still able to tolerate such arrogance and rudeness so i still come back occasionally for my wellness needs. However, if there is another similar place in the DFW area that could provide services for my wellness needs in one location, I would not hesitate DROPPING KING SPA. Since I know the Japanese tradition of taking bath in the public, my expectation was quite high but they met my expectations quite nicely! Oh how I miss hot spring in Japan but those spa made me feel like I'm in Japan They also had saunas in the male's sections and that was so good! FYI; spa is gender separated and only allowed to use it without clothing, so don't be surprised! After the spas, we got out of male's section and got to try rest of the saunas with my wife and her mom! There were many levels of warmness from freezing cold to sweaty hot! You gotta try all of it! You love it! When you get hungry you can go to the food court and you can have delicious hot meals and sweets as well as boba drinks etc! We just spent whole day doing all things back and forth! Been here a few times and looks like it will be another of my "go to" places when I'm here in Texas. I will preface this review by saying I only go during the week when it's "slow". I enjoy being able to get right in on the ala carte services, and definitely enjoy the quiet. I understand children are allowed in and so far - I've not seen any! Maybe the weekends get a little crazier, don't know and don't want to find out. Entrance fee to enjoy the saunas, pool/jacuzzis, and many amenities is "only" $50. They have many saunas (!!), a great food area, and very clean locker rooms. Todays visit I believe I found my perfect routine - 1 hr chair and foot massage, followed by the body scrub/massage (60 min, we tried the 90 min once before and felt it was just way too long). We topped it off with the V-Steam which was interesting and would do it again. All in all, it was the most relaxing 6 hour day, and relatively inexpensive compared to other day spas I've been to. Then they built the pool side - doubled the price to $50 and now attract a different audience that stick around their all day. I had high hopes for this spa after seeing it advertised on TikTok and planning it in my Dallas Trip itinerary since my boyfriend and I were visiting from Florida. However, I was sadly let down from first walking in. The lighting is gloomy and the staff does not inform you how the sauna services work, so you have to kind of play a guessing game to figure everything out. Then my friend and I (with whom I went with) decided to pay for a 40 minute foot massage that was $65 and we were very excited for it since we spent most of our days in Dallas walking and exploring. Total let down. The men doing the massages were very rough even though we mentioned that issue to them and the massage was more painful than enjoyable. Especially at the end when they slap and punch your feet (kind of odd to me personally). But what really left a bad taste in my mouth was when the men basically held us hostage and FORCED my friend and I to write down a tip for them before we could leave the massage room. My mood and experience was ruined!! They were very rude and hostile regarding that we write down a tip which is unacceptable in my opinion. The manager just said "sorry" and the issue was not rectified. Also everything was mostly closed and the whole spa is very underwhelming. I don't understand the bad rating for King spa. It's my 4th time going here and I still have yet to have a bad experience. Minus one star because I agree that staff do walk around in their shoes and I don't like that. I don't mind being barefoot but the staff should also be as well or they should be provided work slippers or something. I think the admission is quite reasonable you can soak in the hot bath, steam room, and saunas there's a movie room and lounge chairs. Some chairs could use some updates and they could add free massage chairs or at least heated chairs. But I was pleasantly surprised with the new oxygen room upgrade. Will add that you should bring your own body wash, shampoo and conditioner because they have bar soap :(( Then a pair of thick socks and a big bath towel to be able to lay in one of the hot room. I also paid extra for the scrub and Swedish massage and everything was great. The tofu soup is flavorful and the kimchi fried rice is good as well. So first two times I came this place was unbelievable! So clean and almost new looking! But when I took my friends for my bestie's birthday, it was a disappoint. Lots of attractions were shut down and the water in the open pool area had a weird green color. And the sauna had suspicious looking foam which would disappear and reappear. The pros however are their huge selection of hot rooms. My favorite is the one in the back where it's so humid and hot that you start sweating almost immediately. Yes girl get those toxins out! Also their females only section has good herbs in it. Super relaxing. I still want this place to stay open as besides this and spa castle (which is #1 now in my book) there isn't anyplace else that offers this Korean spa service. I'm rating my experience strictly on a day pass during the week, no add-ons like massages or facial services. My daughter found this place when I told her to find a day pass for a spa. Initially I was not convinced that this was a great idea but decided to go once I reviewed the alternatives she came up with . And I must say that I was pleasantly surprised that using the day pass included services turned out really well. The number 1 for me was lack of a crowd since we went during the week so we had our choice of the different sauna room element options alone or with maybe 1-2 others. It was very clean and the pool seemed to be clean and sanitized. Personally, I thoroughly enjoyed the regular salt, pinewood salt, infrared and Bulgari sauna room, and my daughter loved the pyramid room. Also, thoroughly loved the fact they had a regular pool, heated pool (21 & over) and hot tub options. Additionally there was a separate pool and sauna/ ice room connected to the ladies room ( for nude use only). Biggest drawbacks during the week is limited services ( alcohol bar sales closed and fish not available). Also food prices appear to be a little high, probably comparable to local attractions and events Ex $4 bottle of water, $7 fries. VERY IMPORTANT: 1. The bar isn't opened on weekdays just Friday - Sunday. 2. After 9 PM weekdays only thing open are the separate sex showers (fully nude) and the saunas. The establishment looks beautiful outside. Will update this review once we go. UPDATE 4/19 : It was an okay experience! There was like a mini theater which was interesting and another one that showed movies til 9 PM. It was weird that they were all living room sofas and couches but that could just be a me thing. I was expecting something a little bit nicer for the price we paid to get in. The sauna rooms and red UV light rooms were the best part of this experience. I will say the cafeteria part was a little be underwhelming appearance wise but the food prices looked on par for what you'd get at a restaurant. The pool area was open but we didn't know which side was the hot tub or what any of the waters were supposed to be for? Wish could've had a little bit more of guidance in that area. For the most part the older staff seemed more attentive and friendlier than the younger staff. Otherwise it was an okay experience for the price of what you get. I think for the saunas aspect... the $100 is worth it. They also offered massages and facials but we didn't partake so maybe those are good! read more
