My mom and I toured to the most Amazing Castles in Ireland that I've ever seen! (Even though it was my first time in Ireland and my first time seeing a real castle ) We had so much fun with our Amazing, Extraordinary, Fun, Passionate, Knowledgeable singing tour guide Adrian!!! We Love You!!! You're a Rockstar! (And he's apparently an actor in Braveheart as well! - Which according to my mom, we'll be watching to confirm ) And he's a lucky charm!! (It was forecasted 78% chance of rain and expected to be sooo busy but it was quite the opposite! Our tour took us to The Rock of Cashel, Cahir Castle and Blarney Castle (where I got to kiss the Blarney Stone)! Each place was remarkably breathtaking and the history...astonishing and just to be in those places was so surreal knowing the history! I highly recommend Irish Day Tours! Adrian will take good care of you! He's the best and a blast! And the craic was soooo good! Thank you Adrian! Til the next time!

We took the Cliffs of Moher tour from Dublin. It was an early start and a long day but very worth it! We brought our 6 month old baby (they offered child seats for an additional 15 euro) and it made for a very special family trip. I can't remember the guides name unfortunately but we took the tour on 20/8. He was SO knowledgeable and had so many fun facts along with history to share along the trip. He drove safely and communicated the trips expectations/time to return to the bus very well. We loved the stops along the way, we didn't feel too rushed. It was nice that they had a pre-planned arrangement for lunch so that we didn't have to rush and panic in finding our own place (I've had this happen on other tours). They didn't have a bathroom on board but made sure to stop every 1-1.5 hours for snacks and breaks.

This was a great tour and Barry was a fantastic guide! The one thing I want to be clear about is the fact that these tours are made for two types of people/groups: (1) you love to do tours and be held to a tours time table as opposed to a dyi trip. (2) you are short on time I only wish we would have simply rented a car, drove to the cliffs, stayed the night in the little town neighboring the cliffs, and have control of our time. That is not the fault of the Tour company, that's just how we like to do things - we are DYI people, but we were short on time and tight on schedule. All in all it was a good time and we had the opportunity to see things we may not have seen otherwise. Explanation of stars: Barry, our guide was 5 stars. The bus was five stars. The scenery, 5 stars. The time schedule, 3 stars

We took the Irish Day Tour while in Ireland and did the Cliffs of Moher tour. It was fantastic!! Our guide, Gerald, was so nice and knowledgeable. It was an all day tour, from 6am-8pm and gave you a great view of many parts of Ireland. This is a must do while in Ireland.

We did the tour to Rock of Cashel, Blarney Castle and Cahir Castle today. Our guide was on prompt. His name is Barry. He was super informative and funny too. I enjoyed my time on the bus. Everything was on time and he made sure to get us to our destinations on schedule. If you're in Dublin and want to see the sights, I would highly recommend this tour company.

Don't think a second about not booking with Extreme Iceland. You'll enjoy your tour! My boyfriend and I took the Giant's Causeway tour and loved it! We traveled mid-February. We were very lucky that our group was small (about 15 people) but even if it wasn't, I think it would've been a great tour still. The driver's ability to drive and be a tour guide was impressive and he had a great personality too. We laughed more than we ever thought we would, and we learned so many interesting facts, especially about the politics between Northern and Southern Ireland. Our stops included: quick breakfast at a Centura, The Dark Hedges, Carrick-a-Rede (rope bridge), quick lunch, Giant's Causeway, castle for photo op and Belfast. Our first stop was the Centura at a gas station just outside of Ireland for a quick 20min breakfast. It was a bit better than your typical gas station stopovers but not one that I'd refer to as a breakfast. I recommend you to bring your own food and eat it there at the tables in inside. Or eat before the tour. This stopover is in Britain as it's located in Northern Ireland so they take sterling pounds, not euros. Something we didn't realize. Thankfully we had both currencies with us as London was out next stop after Dublin. The Dark Hedges was pretty neat to see and walk down. Since we came in the winter, there weren't any leaves so it wasn't dark at all but still a beautiful sight. Our tour group as very respectful of other people's photos, careful not to get in the way and taking shots quickly to give others an opportunity. The Carrick-a-Rede was our first big stop with hiking. Since its located at the tip of Northern Ireland, along the Atlantic Ocean, it was very windy. The day that we went, the rope bridge was closed due to high winds and to be honest, we were glad that was the case because just walking towards to the bridge was a mission. The wind lifted me of my feet a couple of times! For the most part, the walk is doable. However there are points where it is steep going down and up and with the the strong winds, it's a bit scary. I am 5 months postop acl surgery and I wore my knee brace as it was a bit slippery going down steep/rocky hills. We stopped for lunch after at a local cafeteria style restaurant in a town nearby. Food ranges from £5-£12. The food that is served is home-style Irish food. Large portions and freshly made with local ingredients. I ordered a potato soup as it was the cheapest option but still filling enough to keep me energized for the rest of the tour. Around the corner was the Giants Causeway. It was awesome! You have two options to see it: walking it above or below, or taking a shuttle that cost £1 each way. We decided to w9alk it from the top down to the bottom. I would recommend this but it is tiring. The view makes it well worth it though. At 5 months postop, the brace came in really handy here. The walkway was slippery at times, the steps down to the volcanic rocks was very steep and overall it was very tiring for my knees. You are only given about 1.5 hrs here which I personally feel is a bit tight. If you do the hike, don't take too much time taking pictures at the top, otherwise you won't give yourself enough time for pictures down by the bottom. After the Causeway, we made a quick stopover at the castle for a photo op. Lastly, we got visited Belfast and got to walk around for about 2 hours. Highly recommend touring the Giants Causeway with Extreme Ireland. I'd also recommend wearing comfortable boots. Running shoes are doable but if it is rainy or the slightest dampness, it will be slippery with running shoes.

My Family took 4 Irish day tours last week and each was as great as the other, we did the following tours. Blarney Castle- Belfast Titanic- Cliffs of Moher- And an to New Grainge an archeological dig tour. I will tell you all the drivers/ guides we incredible. Great knowledge, punctual, friendly, informative above and beyond. We had Rob take us to Blarney he was Fecken good. Noel took us to Belfast, also a fantastic guide and hooked us up with local tour guide Joe that was unbelievably intense and interesting, Mary took us to New Grainge and she was very interesting, and Finally Max took us to the Cliffs of Moher and Galway again a great tour fantastic scenery and a long but punctual day Thanks to each of you

I went with my friend a few weeks ago to Dublin, Ireland on the vacation of a lifetime. I wanted to share my experience using Irish Day Tours - we went on the Blarney Castle tour and had the absolute best time. The bus itself is very spacious, and we had a fairly full bus of people from all over the world. We made several stops to see a few different castles (they did a great job spacing it out because you can only handle so many hours on a bus, especially if you have motion sickness like I do). Our tour guide (I wish I could remember his name!) was so great - he was funny, informative, and a great sport all around. Price wise - absolutely worth it. In fact, I didn't think it was overly expensive by any means for the type of tour that we got. I would recommend to anyone visiting Ireland.

We found out about Extreme Ireland from the Dublin Visitor Centre. We chose this tour from the others because the meeting point for each tour was on Suffolk street by the Molly Malone statue which was close to our hotel. Also, the meeting point is close to the 24 hour McDonalds on Grafton street so we were able to eat breakfast and use the restroom before we started the tour. We booked the Cliffs of Moher and the Giants Causeway tour. Since we booked two tours, we got a discount of 5 euros off per person. We love deals so we were all over that. To get the discount though we were not able to book the tour with the Dublin Visitor Center. Instead we had to book at the Extreme Ireland office located on the corner of Grafton street and College Green. The Cliffs of Moher tour started early. We had to meet at our meeting point by 650am and were advised to arrive 10 minutes early. This tour was so popular that they had to book two large tour buses to accommodate everyone. Every single seat on our bus was taken, including the front seat next to the driver. We were packed to the max but Mike, our driver, was super cool. He was very funny and made our very early morning less painful. He woke us up with his stories and sang songs to us to help pass the time away. But he also knew when quiet time was needed for us to take naps. Our first rest stop on this tour was Obama Plaza. It was a nice place to purchase some refreshments and use the restroom. We visited the Dark Hedges from Game of Thrones, had lunch at a hotel in Doolin and visited the Burren and Galway city. A great tour and well worth it. The Giant's Causeway tour also started early, earlier than the Cliffs of Moher tour. This tour started at 6:30am and again we were advised to arrive 10 minutes early. This tour wasn't as popular so there was some room on our bus to stretch out on. Nevertheless, this tour was just as great, if not better than Cliffs of Moher. I actually preferred this tour more because we visited Giant's Causeway which was super cool and the Carrick-A-Rede. Unfortunately the weather was too windy for us to actually walk across the Carrick-A-Rede but we got to take pictures next to it. Also, we got another discount of 5 euros off per person because the Carrick-A-Rede was closed on this day. We also went to Belfast and it was our first time in Northern Ireland. The black taxi tour was very informative. Sometimes it was difficult to understand our black taxi tour guide but he was very nice. John was our driver during the entire day and he was very nice and professional. He was soft spoken and knew when to stop talking to give us some time to nap. He also had awesome Irish music for our long journey. We are very happy we did both these tours with Extreme Ireland. They are well managed, very professional, and I definitely recommend them.

We did the cliffs of moher 12 hour bus trip with Gerald. We had a fantastic time! It was even better than I expected. We were in a small your bus and were able to stop in many small villages along the coast and really grasp the Irish culture and the picturesque landscape. Gerald was punctual and extremely knowledgable on the sites, history or Ireland and culture/language. I wasn't a huge fan of his selection of "tunes" but he didn't drone on with boring facts and kept his talking points concise and interesting.

We took the Celtic 1 Day Tour with this company on Saturday and had an amazing time. The tour goes to beautiful Hill of Tara, mystical Lough crew, Trim Castle, Monasterboice, Slane Castle and Drogheda. Because we went in off-peak season, we traveled on a minibus/smaller van rather than a coach bus which meant the group size was small and allowed us to go on small country roads rather than motorway all the time. The only disappointment was the fact that the tour doesn't go to Slane Castle on Saturdays as it is closed to public due to wedding ceremonies. It's a pity we didn't know about it in advance as we would have booked for Sunday instead. They are amending their brochures though so it shouldn't be a problem in the future. Our guide James had a great sense of humour and the tour was very informative. I'd definitely recommend this tour and company to anyone visiting Ireland . read more

My wife and I did the Cliffs of Moher, Giants Causeway, and the Wicklow Mountains tour during our trip to Ireland and it was definitely the best thing we could have done. All 3 of our drivers were informative, funny, and helped keep the experience moving along. I would highly recommend doing all three of these trips and be prepared to laugh and learn on your way to some of the most gorgeous sites in the world read more

Do not ever use!!!!!! They are horrible to deal with and take advantage of foreign travelers!! We attempted to book a tour online two days ago, their website failed as soon as we entered our credit card info. We assumed the booking did not go through as we never got a confirmation email as we have with everything else we have recently booked. I looked at my bank statement and saw that they charged us anyway. We attempted to email the company to get a refund only to be told, too bad you didn't cancel within 24 hours of the departure. How can we cancel something we didn't know was booked!!!!! We went to the physical location to talk with someone in person and were told due to the confusion we would get a refund. After we left the store we got an email saying too bad again.....no refund!!! They are scammers, go to any of the other fifteen travel booking companies!! Stay very far away from this one!!!! read more

We had a group of 14 and Darrin picked us up at our hotel to go to Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge near Ballintoy. We ate lunch at Fullerton Station. Then we went to Giant's Causeway. Belfast was our next stop for a Black Cab tour. Darrin was an excellent guide. Very informative, funny, and even sang for us. We were his first audience. The rest stops very well planned and just the right amount of time. It was a long day, but action-packed and fun filled. read more

We booked a tour online from Dublin to Belfast and The Giant's Causeway the night before. We drove from Limerick to Dublin (about a 2 hour drive), parked and arrived at the Molly Malone Statue a few minutes before the tour guide was scheduled to pick us up. We waited.....and waited.....then a small Mercedes bus showed up and asked for travelers to a different tour through the same company. My husband approached the guide and explained we were booked on a tour to Belfast and set to pick up at 0630 this morning. The driver pointed to the next street down and said most of the drivers sit down there and wait for their tourists. We walked down to the street he pointed at and found that our bus had come and gone. We were shocked; all of the work we had spent arranging and getting to the meeting spot was for nothing especially since it was our last day in Ireland. We asked another driver if we could get some or all of our money back for being left behind. He sent us to an office down the road, but it did not open for several more hours. We decided to go back to Limerick and try to make the most of our last day on vacation. Once we got back to our hotel, we e-mailed the company explaining what had happened. They denied us any and all compensation other than 6 months to book another tour. In the e-mail it was stated that the bus drivers wait a few minutes for tourists running late, even though we were early and our tour bus was lined up on the street below (not at the Molly Malone Statue as we were once told). No refund was considered because their policy is 24 hours to cancel a tour for money back--sadly we did not cancel, but were left behind. I cannot comment on the tour itself--I would have loved to have gone on it. I can however comment on the company's sloppy procedures and substandard customer service. We have several friends heading to Ireland and all will be spending their money with different tour companies. As for us, we are seeking alternative methods for compensation. read more

Three of us booked the Cliffs of Moher tour. It was excellent from beginning to end. Our driver, Barry, was delightful. Polite, patient, and extremely informative. I lost track of time at Corcomroe Abbey, was a little late, and he didn't say a word. Another guest disregarded his advice to utilize the bathroom and (aside from a little good natured ribbing) he stopped with no hassle and still stayed on schedule. Barry understood timing - made sure we got historic background but he was not unnecessarily chatty, which allowed us to relax and enjoy the gorgeous Irish countryside. He clearly knows his Irish history and has a dry wit, which I greatly appreciated. We stopped at a nice, reasonably priced pub for lunch (Fitzpatrick's ) in charming Doolin. Clearly the trip was well-planned with the tourist's enjoyment in mind. Especially in comparison to the Giant's Causeway tour I subsequently endured with Paddywagon tours. Although I preferred Giant's Causeway to the Cliffs, the experience with Paddywagon was so bad it tainted the day. read more

I have taken 2 tours with this company so far and I absolutlely loved both of them! I first went to the Cliffs of Moher and then to Connemara both times with Paul as my guide and driver. He was an amazing guide! He is so knolwedgeable about the geography of the land and the history of the country. Both trips I learned so much the Celtic history of Ireland and many major events that have shaped Ireland into what it is today. He knows so much about all the castles we came across, he could tell us who lived there and all about their life and also when it was last lived in. Of coarse the scenery is what made the tours incredible! The cliffs are a definite must see when visiting Ireland. They are unlike anything I have ever seen before, and I am a huge Harry Potter fan and the cliffs were used in filming of the Half Blood Prince, so that was awesome to see in person. For lunch on the cliffs tour we stopped in a little village called Doolin, and went to a perfect little Irish pub for food and it was super delicious. I saw so much of the Irish countryside with both tours and it is probably the must beautiful landscape I have ever witnessed. During the Connemara tour we stopped by Kylemore Abbey, an old castle set at a base of a mountain, and it is absolutley stunning. I have been to Germany many times and have seen all of the world famous castles there and I must say that this Kylemore Abbey has to be my favorite even over the German ones. The romantic story behind this castle is unlike any other and I would highly recommend anyone coming to Ireland to make a trip to see it! Connemara national park is also a must when coming to this country too! This is where you see herds of sheep crossing the road at their free will, also the lovely waist high stone walls that are automatically associated with Ireland are found in the west part. I will forever remember these trips and they made my experience in Ireland so much more then I had expected! I highly suggest anyone travelling to Ireland to take a tour with the company! read more

First and foremost, our experience visiting the castles was amazing. Beautiful sights for sure. However, Our bus driver and travel narrator was completely off the rails. Sandra, I believer her name was, spent a majority of the tour talking about her family struggles/issues, how people pull the race card, and the problem with politics. Why would anybody want to hear that from a tour guide? She made offensive remarks about usage of the term "gypsy" and Jamaicans during these rants. Also, on our Blarney castle stop, the bus was no where to be found but in a parking lot behind trees. Nobody in our group knew where to go and the issue became an inside joke the remainder of the trip after our guide scrambled to find everybody and we all communicated where to go. She definitely put a sour note on the experience. She also hit a toll booth arm on our travels through a check point. We had to wait for them to disconnect the arm for us to continue. Beautiful sights - horrific driver/narrator. Thankfully she didn't accompany us on these self guided castle tours. read more

I was looking forward to The Blarney and Cahir Castle tour but walked away with mixed feelings. Our tour guide Sandra left a great deal to be desired. Between running into a toll booth and failing to communicate where to meet after lunch at Blarney a feeling of confusion took over. I wish I could say that was the worst part. Sandra spent the ride on a rant about her family issues, her political views, and probably most disturbingly her racial rant against gypsy (or tinkers as she offensively choose to name them) and Jamaicans. The castles are beautiful and the history of this great country is amazing! Perhaps you should choose someone who better reflects that... read more

I really like booking the day tours. All the figuring out and worrying about where to go and how to get there is all figured out! You just choose your trip and meet your tour where they tell you and they have the day planned. The day is filled with sights to see, some history and information along the way and some time to shop and eat. The two drivers we have had so far, Mike M. and Matthew were Great! We just booked our third tour! You guys are doing a great job helping tourists make the most of their time in Ireland. Thank you! read more

AVOID THESE ANTISEMITES! While booking the cliffs of moher day trip I was shocked and saddened to be met with aggressive antisemitism from their staff. I brought my concerns to the attention of the company owners and my concerns were casually dismissed and the owner chose instead to demean me and reinforce the antisemitic attitude of his employees. I urge you to stay away from these clowns. There are so many great tour operators in Dublin that welcome all races, religions, and nationalities. Don't waste your money on hate! read more

What an amazing time! Jenny and John, our tour guides, were so great! Irish Day Tours was such a great experience for my husband and I. The tour guide was so informative, extremely attentive, and very warm with everyone. The places we visited, Cliffs of Moher, were surreal! This was our first time in Ireland and honestly we cannot wait to go back, and I believe that this was mainly because Jenny and John made this trip an amazing one filled with knowledge and fun ! read more

We did two day tours during a recent trip to dublin. The first was Blarney castle with a few other stops. Our guide Ronan was very friendly. Then we went by rail to the Cliffs of Moher. Each trip had other stops but those were the highlights. Bob was our guide on the second trip and he was very friendly as well. Pay attention to times though. The rail trip did not get back to dublin until almost 10pm. read more

I'm living in Dublin at the moment but am always looking for new tours to take to see the rest of Ireland and I'm really glad I took the Ancient East tour with Irish Day Tours. Our tour guide was lovely, always giving us interesting information and over all made the trip even more enjoyable. If I hadn't taken this tour I'd probably never visited these parts of Ireland in my own. read more
