Old school charm with a long bar, we just had beer and didn't eat there just taking in the oldness and dark wood interior. This is the kind of local flavour I love to visit when travelling so highly recommended for doing just that.

The bar had a table in the front two corner with around 5 chairs per table and a table for maybe 2-3 people in front of the dj/karaoke setup. It happened to be karaoke night. Also, noone was sitting at the bar area at the time. There's also just one bathroom in the back of the bar. Since we just had dinner, we only ordered drinks. As always, we ordered 2 long islands. The drinks were lite at first, so it didn't feel as if there's much alcohol in them, but it hits later. Overall not a bad drink for the cost. I believe it was $12 per drink. Of course one drink isn't enough so we decided to get another drink similar to a long island but has blue curacao. We showed the server/bartender a picture of it and they said they could make it. We've never had the drink before so I can't compare it to other places. The drink was pretty good, but we still prefer the long islands more. Not that the drink didn't have enough alcohol though. Moving onto the vibes of the bar... it's very different from city vibes. It may be that my friend and I were the youngest ones there and everyone else were much older. Kudos to the singers though, they had such good lungs to assist with their singing. They were very much in tune and on beat. Would I come here again? Yes. But maybe not on karaoke night, since it was really difficult to hear my friend speak and have a conversation without asking him to repeat himself.

When I brought it to the waitresses attention she said it comes with either bacon or sausage and I was like, okay you didn't ask so I wasn't aware. To which she responded that it was on the menu and proceeded to bring over the menu for me to read as if I couldn't understand her. I was really tired that morning so I guess that parts on me for just reading what I want and ordering it, but as someone who's work in the service industry you also clarify what the customer would like. I never said I wanted ONLY eggs. Just the way she handled it was really rude when I didn't even make a fuss I was just confused why there was nothing in my burrito weird energy here if you're not a white townie. Glad my father got to enjoy his corned beef hash though. Only positive in this experience.

The decor is over the top in the best way. Trains running around the ceiling, lights, signs, decorations hanging everywhere. Classic old school tavern feels all the way. The menu is full of classic bar food with great prices. They do use English muffin buns for the burgers which actually works, easy to get to the beef patty. I liked the char on the burger, gave it that smoky grilled bite that hits, but I asked for medium rare and got medium well, so the temperature was overdone, made it a bit dry and less flavorful than I wanted. The cheese slice was thin too, could've used more punch, but flavors still hit. Service was nice and attentive, but kitchen can be slow, so don't come in waiting super hangry.
