Huge shout out to Irish!! We learned a lesson today. When you are towing a travel trailer and your gas light comes on you have 10 miles to get to gas, not the usual 75 miles. We were stranded on the highway in 100 degree heat and our road side assistance company could not get to us for hours. We're in our mid 80's. A good Samaritan stopped to help. Suggested we call Irish Road Service. They responded promptly. Towed us into Shamrock diagnosed the problem, had to get a new alternator from another town. Helped us get our luggage into a nearby hotel and had a replacement installed by noon the next day for a reasonable price. Cannot recommend them more highly. Not a fancy shop, mainly towing and tires, but they fixed the problem and got us on the way quicker than I expected. Great service. read more

***DO NOT TRUST THIS BUSINESS*** If I could leave 0 stars I would. No We live in Arizona and passing through and needed ONE tire on a Sunday, the cords were showing on my tire and they over charged me 3 TIMES what the tire is worth! How do I know this? We have a good friend that owns a tire shop back in Arizona and the tire alone sub $80/ tire. First off we show up at the "24hr service" shop and nobody was there, doors locked and all. So we called the number and the guy was already rude once he answered the call and said "let me call and see if I can get someone there I'll let you know.". My boyfriend says "ok this is my cellphone number feel free to call when you find out." My boyfriend then proceeds to call other places to see if they have the tire we need in the meantime. So we waited. 10-15mins go by my boyfriend had to call back and my boyfriend asks "did you hear back?" The guy says "yea somebody is on their way" and we asked "do you know by chance how much it'll be?" And he rudely said "Well I can't give you a price because I don't know what size tire you need and I'm not there..." We then asked him "is there an ETA?" And he rudely says "IDK he'll get there when he gets there" and hangs up. so we waited 15 minutes, and the guy finally showed up. We gave him the size we needed so he started to remove the tire. When he went to find the size tire we needed we noticed the racks with all the tires on them looked like they were sitting there for MONTHS. We asked "how much would this be?" And he said "oh I don't know the guys that knows will be here..." (my boyfriend turns to me and says. "They're going to overcharge me watch, I have a bad feeling.") The guy(owner who we spoke with) showed up with his son 20minutes later after the tire was changed. So once the tire was replaced my boyfriend went inside to pay and the interaction was HORRIBLE, LACKING CUSTOMER SERVICE, LACKING PROFESSIONALISM, & just overall shouldn't even be in business. "Customers are a burden to this guy in his 24hr business." The guy gives my boyfriend the prices, $200 FOR ONE TIRE! My boyfriend responded saying "for a $60-$80 tire?" The guy then responded RUDE AF while pointing at the paper "what are you talking about? It says here the tire costs $120." My boyfriend then says "my friend owns a tire shop and I know that tire isn't $100." The guy rudely responds saying "then you should have called your friend." My boyfriend goes "yea he'd be able to help me all the way from Arizona." Then the guy responds back talking down on my friends shop on how he runs his business. At this time is when my boyfriend had inserted his card and was checking his app to transfer money when the owner rudely puts the machine in his face and holds it their and says "you going to put your pin in or what?" My boyfriend responds "yea once I transfer the money to my bank account." The guy goes "well I wish I would have known that so I didn't have to hold the machine up." So he puts the machine down and walks away. My boyfriend finishes transferring money grabs the machine puts his pin in and the reciet prints and asked the guy "do I need to sign it?" and he said "no you don't have to" and my boyfriend says "thanks a lot " and walks out. Looking at the receipt they charge you $34 for AFTER HOURS when the sign clearly says 24HR SERVICE and charged $7.00 for disposal of the tire... they did not discuss any of this prior to install. This is why my boyfriend had a bad feeling. ***THESE GUYS ARE LAST RESORT UNLESS YOU ARE REALLT DESPERATE*** As we were writing this my boyfriend calls our friend and confirmed the price of the tire is no where near the price we were charged. Great company! Our car broke down just outside of Shamrock (alternator). We were pleasantly surprised when they got to us so quickly (under 20 minutes) especially since it was a Sunday. They helped get us back to the shop, got our battery fully charged and got us back on the road quickly. Then to top it off, called later that day to make sure we made it home safely. Though I don't wish to have my car breakdown in the future, if it ever does and I am anywhere near Shamrock, I will be sure to call the guys at Irish Road Service. read more

I went out there to get 2 new tires put on they charged me 60 dollars. I drove straight home the next morning I woke up I noticed one of the tires was flat. I put air in it drove back out there and there told them the situation they checked the tire and said there was a hole on the firewall. They patched it and then tried to charge me when clearly they punctured it putting it on!! Then they threatened to call the police on me when I told them I wasn't paying for something they caused!! I guess it was the owner who came out and told me not to come back. Which I will gladly not go back considering this wasn't the first time I had problems with them. Absolutely fantastic. Saved our asses. Tire blew out on I40 a few mile east of Shamrock. A '22 Volvo- no spare and an odd-ball tire that nobody had for 100 miles. Sourced a tire in Amarillo and Irish had it brought in. Towed us into town and dropped us at Mcdondalds while we waited for the tire to arrive and the replacement mounted. Went way above and beyond. Stay away from this company!!!Unfriendly and resentful we needed help after regular hours. They are not really open 24 hours. Lip service only. Hopefully you are never stranded but if you are, don't call Irish Tire Service. After three hours and over five phone conversations we decided it is better to take our chances on the road then ( if they did finally showed up) to let them work on our tire. After being told its our fault and lied to, theres no confidence in this business. Details-While heading across country we had a blow out on hwy 40. Called around 6:15 pm to find out if they had a 14 ply tire for our trailer. We thought we were in luck because they said yes. We had get the trailer to them 20 miles away. We had to use our spare already so we had to put a damage tire on so we could drive to them. Called them at 7:00 PM to let them know we were on are way. We were told they couldn't get there for 1 1/2 hours and we were welcome to wait. We told them we were heading over. Got there around 7:40. A guy yelled at me from a distance asking if we were there for a tire. After answering yes he yell he had to leave and will be back. Without thinking I answered ok. He got in a truck and left. I thought it was strange because we were told we had to wait 1 1/2 hrs. At 8:40 we called for an ETA and was told in an unkind way that he waited and had to leave. We can wait 20 mins for him to get there or leave. Strange thing to say to a stranded customer. In several conversations it was made clear to us we didn't have to wait. After 9:10 PM (after 34 mins) we left. Hopefully our bad tire makes it to get us to a reliable tire shop. read more

WOW where to begin. If I could give this crooked ass so called business a -10 on stars that would be generous. While traveling back to Kansas we were driving along & had passed over a little bridge on I-40 that as we passed over it hit a huge bump & noticed our tire pressure was going down very quickly. I got out & u could hear the air just pouring out. So we took a chance & got off the next exit which was Shamrock Texas to check things out. There was absolutely nothing in that town but was given a card 2 this so called business to help us out. I called my road side assistance thru my ins company to get help. I waited about 30 mins & nobody showed up so I went ahead & changed the tire myself. As I had just finished this road service company finally showed up & informed me they had a tire shop right around the corner & might have a tire that would fit my car. Turns out I needed both back tires & they charged me $129/tire which at the time I was in dire need of them so didn't think about the price. $316 later got to doing some research on the tires & find out i could get the same ones for $70/tire all day anywhere else. I couldn't thank them enough for helping us out & getting us back on the road not knowing I was getting screwed & about 2 get screwed even worse. The very next day I went 2 leave & my tire pressure light was on on 1 of the brand new tires they had just put on. Went & put air in it wondering why it was low already & continued to have 2 air it up every other day. Called Irish Road Service & talked 2 a guy named Brian which I'm assuming is one of the owners. Just asking him what he thought it could be he instantly copped an attitude & told me those tires were brand new & 2 take it 2 a shop 2 have it looked at & if it was something they had done they would fix it on our way back thru. Pulled the tire off & found out that the tire was not completely sealed 2 the rim. Took it 2 get it looked at only to find out that I had a cracked rim & that's why the slow leak. On the way back home not knowing much about the severity of driving on a cracked rim had 2 stop constantly 2 put air in it 2 keep it aired up. Made it 100 miles the first time then it was about every 30 miles or less. This company says they are 24 hrs call anytime so we called the # on the card we were given & got ahold of David Kidd who instantly was rude & copped an attitude how we called him at 10 pm for this issue & he would be in at 8 in the morning & asked what we wanted him 2 do. Showed up in Shamrock for them 2 rectify the situation & instantly they had attitude & was total smart ass. Told me my rim was cracked & when asked if they did a check on rims b4 they put new tires on to make sure they weren't bent or cracked his response was "NOPE" they don't do that that they are there 2 get tires on people's car & get them down the road. When I told Brian that was kind of messed up that they put us in danger by putting us back on the road with a cracked rim & he acted like he could care less & said he wasn't gonna do anything about it. Then David came over & started getting smart saying they aren't gonna check rims & i didn't have 2 buy the tires & i could have gotten them somewhere else when I bitched about them upcharging by about 40-50% on their tires. Really didn't have a choice considering it was after hours & everything was closed & we had 2 get back on the road. When Brian gave me my tire back he just threw it against the back of my car.They sent us down the road on a cracked rim & had that crack spread enough our rim would have split in half & our tire would have fallen off our blew out like the first one did which could have been very dangerous when your driving 80-85 mph.They've got quite the little scam going on there & could care less about anybody's safety becuz they're the ONLY road side assistance business within an 80-100 mile radius so they will gouge the shit out of u cuz they know your desperate. Not only that they were called 2 come out & change my tire but by the time they showed up I already had it done but they still billed my ins company for $135 for performing a service they didn't complete. If your ever passing thru that territory & have any issues if at all possible DO NOT STOP THERE & if u have 2 & have 2 call road side assistance if they show up i would figure something else out cuz they don't care about u or your safety & will scam your ins company by telling them they complete a service even if they didn't. Just read all the reviews on this company & you'll c for yourself. Charged a guy $30 just 2 take a tire off 2 look at it & $80 2 plug it. There are many more bad reviews than just that one. While traveling on I-40, I stopped @ a Love's Truck stop where I noticed a soft tire. I put 6 quarters in the air machine and could only get an additional 6 lbs of air. I Googled tire services in or near Shamrock, TX and called Irish Road Service, who was 30 minutes away. I called and was told he would be returning from a service call. We arrived at his location and within minutes, the owner returned from his service call. He determined I had a slow leak, which he quickly repaired, mounted the tire and put it back on my truck. Bait-and-switch. Stayed in the hotel next door and needed 2 tires for my trailer. Called them and asked them specifically for USED trailer tires in a specific size. Their answer, "yep, we have a few used of that size". So, I drive over, go inside and they pull out a completely bald (cords showing!) tire and said, "this is the only one we have, you should really get new ones anyway" and proceeded to quote me $125 each including mounting, etc. Well, I knew these tires, new, were only around $65 (and about $10 mounting) so obviously I walked out. The thing is, they knew (or thought) that I was desperate (I wasn't, I needed them soon, and their place was convenient at the time). I took my car in to have my brakes checked three times. I knew something wasn't right about them but I didn't know what. I have next to no knowledge of cars except the basics of oil change and checking the transmission oil. it costs me $30 each time for them to take off my tires, look at it, and step on the pedals just to tell me there was nothing wrong with them. Well two weeks ago, I was on my way home from work, and when it was time to slow down, the pedal went to the floor and nothing happened. My car was NOT slowing down at all.
