Food is always great and the staff is very friendly. I also think that the food is very reasonably priced as well.

I had the Americano with SF White Chocolate syrup. I was going to get some half & half but they charge $2!!!! That was the only thing that would stop me from going back (or take my own!) We didn't go through the drive through but the way they have it laid out is awful. If you go inside park way out so you don't get blocked. Overall, very nice place. Love the fireplace and plenty of seating.

There is plenty of parking and they have a drive thru option. They have a nice variety of Hot and Iced drinks as well as some Frozen drinks and Smoothies. They also offer a small variety of baked goods and snacks. I tried a small Chai Tea Latte and a Cranberry Orange muffin during my visit. I was very happy with both. I was also happy to find that the prices were reasonable (both items were $7). The inside is pretty spacious, warm and very welcoming. They have 5 tables, comfortably seating 3-4 people each. They also have a nice couch and arm chairs near the fire place. You can find several outlets along the wall (they have USB outlets, too). There were only two staff members during my visit, but let me tell you, they were awesome! They welcomed every guest like they were old friends and they kept the drive thru moving. Seriously, the drive thru was flowing the whole time. I would definitely recommend the French Express and I look forward to my next visit.

Here is the summary of my experience here: 1) Ambiance 5/5: Cheerful contemporary inviting vibe. The seating is limited but I believe this is mostly a to-go coffee place. There is a couch and about 4-5 2-seater tables 2) Service 5/5 - The service was delightful. I had few questions about the bagels being vegan and they patiently heard and found out about it. Good news - Most of the bagels are vegan :). The girl in the front taking orders was very patient and helpful 3) Food 6/5: I am neither a fan of bagels not do I like coffee but I got them both. Here is the review: a) Iced Vanilla Latte - I did not want to have it but when I took a sip from my wife's cup, I was forced to get myself one too coz it was really good. b) Blueberry Bagel with cream cheese - This was another hit. Great bagel and cream-cheese. FYI - I am not a bagel connoisseur so I might be wrong but I loved the taste. 4) Value for Money 5/5 - Totally worth it in my opinion. If I am ever back in town or anyone is tired of waiting in line for the Table, ditch it and instead come here The Good: 1) Ambiance 2) Service 3) Iced vanilla latte 4) Bagels (they are mostly vegan) Not so Good: 1) They dont have sandwiches. 2) You need to toast your own bagel

The high wooden bookshelves and designated reading tables give it literary cachet, but The Remedy leans more cozy than stuffy. There's plenty of seating inside and out, and this would be as good a place for a group as it would be for partaking solo. Part coffeeshop and part bar, The Remedy also offers baked goods, flatbreads and charcuterie alongside its coffees, teas, and cocktails. I passed on the food (it seemed overpriced), but the coffee left no room for complaint. I went with a marshmallow iced latte. It was prepared quickly, and it made for a smooth sip: not too sweet and no acidity. Winston-Salem has no shortage of places to grab a drink of the caffeinated or alcoholic varieties, but it's hard to beat the atmosphere that The Remedy has to offer.

I felt like I interrupted the gentlemen's conversation by trying to order and they were not very friendly. The veggie quiche was over $7 and kind of small. I was still hungry. It was good though. I'll add that I did not try the coffee (which apparently is a staple) There are so many OTHER breakfast and coffee spots in the city... I'll just say that.

My partner and I were greeted immediately upon arriving inside and were told me could sit anywhere we liked on the patio. We could have sat inside, but It was a beautiful day so we wanted to take advantage of the weather and view. We ordered coffees-my dirty chai latte was delicious and my partner was happy with her iced americano as well. We shared the apple crepe and although I wished it had a little more moisture inside, the cinnamon and Nutella were delicious and complimented the apples nicely. The service was excellent, we enjoyed our time, and would definitely return.

Village Tavern was my first pick, but was a 25+ min for a table and we were hungry and in somewhat of a rush. We made our way next door to penny path and I was excited for crepes and maybe even more excited for coffee. I had skipped my usual 2 cups that morning thanks to a rushed airport experience. The iced latte hit the spot. Even my 15 year old stole some sips because she liked it and isn't a coffee drinker (yet). As for the crepes it was ok. I went with the Brie, apple and turkey Brie which is usually an amazing combo but just wasn't doing it for me. I ate about half because I was famished and held off on the rest. My husband polished off his Hawaiian crepe and my daughter did the same with her pizza crepe. Since we were there for lunch we went savory over sweet, but the sweet ones did look good. I'd come back for coffee, but would probably eat elsewhere next time. However it was a very cute cafe in an adorable little center not too far from campus.

I just wanted something to snack on so despite the large menu, I chose to get a guava and cheese empanada. The flavor was good but it wasn't worth the price tag (almost $5). I tried to order a nitro cold brew but was told they were out, and had been for years.....so I ordered an iced cafe con leche. I had to ask for it 3 times because the cashier didn't seem to know what is was, despite being on the menu hanging above her head. Her co-worker had to show her which button to hit on the POS. I'm sorry to say that this was the worst coffee I've ever had. No flavor at all. It tasted like watered down milk. They should probably fix their menu because calling that a cafe con leche was completely misleading. Overall, a very unpleasant experience.
