Oh what an amazing place. We waited for a long time at 'The Table' and then found this as a substitute and thank god we did. Here is the summary of my experience here: 1) Ambiance 5/5: Cheerful contemporary inviting vibe. The seating is limited but I believe this is mostly a to-go coffee place. There is a couch and about 4-5 2-seater tables 2) Service 5/5 - The service was delightful. I had few questions about the bagels being vegan and they patiently heard and found out about it. Good news - Most of the bagels are vegan :). The girl in the front taking orders was very patient and helpful 3) Food 6/5: I am neither a fan of bagels not do I like coffee but I got them both. Here is the review: a) Iced Vanilla Latte - I did not want to have it but when I took a sip from my wife's cup, I was forced to get myself one too coz it was really good. b) Blueberry Bagel with cream cheese - This was another hit. Great bagel and cream-cheese. FYI - I am not a bagel connoisseur so I might be wrong but I loved the taste. 4) Value for Money 5/5 - Totally worth it in my opinion. Absolutely love this spot! Super homey and welcoming vibes. They've got some fun seating arrangements located in their front window display as well as other seating options along the walls. Coffee is good, but the real winner are the pastries! What a gem! My friends and I came in to warm up on a very cold day. We were thrilled that Nannie Mae's was still open because it was late afternoon. We walked in and immediately loved the place. The decor is outstanding. What really stood out were the two cozy window spots. We all loved our coffees that we ordered. I had a maple latte. It was one of the best cups of coffee I ever had! After an intensive search for a bakery, I landed up at Nannie Mae's. It was going to be a banana pudding cheesecake order, but it got switched to a banana pudding. We picked up some more pastries while we were in there. The cute bakery is so cozy and welcoming. It had a couple love seats with inside seating. We got cannolis and praline cheesecake bars. We were taking our dog out for a walk and the staff noticed us outside (while others in our group were inside getting coffee) and brought him a pupcup. We came in on a Tuesday afternoon where there was a little run of people but we never felt rushed or crowded. Being new to this business, we wanted to check everything out. We ordered a cheesecake brownie and baklava, along with a drip coffee and bottle of water. The baklava was very tasty, the brownie was good too! My husband likes his coffee black but they had tons of syrups that you could add to jazz up the flavor. I had heard such amazing things about the cupcakes and macaroons that I was bummed they didn't have any today! Oh well, I guess I'll just have to come back! This is the only place I can find macaron's near me, and they are amazing! There are a few bakery/coffee places down Sunset, and they're all great! This one stands out because of the many options they offer. They have Teas, Frappes (mocha, cookies/cream, etc), Lattes, Cold Brew, and Matchas! They also have an extensive bakery/dessert section that changes daily- macarons (of course), cannolis, cheesecake, cookies, bagels, and tons of other stuff. It's always fresh which is a great plus!
