Ordered the Mongolian chicken and over half the container was onions. The rest was green and red peppers, carrots and some chicken. I get it that times are tough but chickens not that expensive and to use this much onion to make the meal look substantial is terrible business. Very disappointed. Absolutely love this place. We order take out several times a month. The chicken broccoli is fantastic and has the best flavor! I ordered: Fried Won Tons - I paid for them but did NOT receive them BBQ Pork Spareribs Pan Fried Meat Dumplings Garlic Sauce Crab Rangoon Vegetable Spring Rolls Pork Fried Rice The ONLY thing that tasted good was the Crab Rangoon.. I never even received the Fried Won Ton that I paid for. The BBQ Pork Spareribs were so dry like leather or slivered pieces of wood in some bites.. and a few ribs barely had any meat.. The pork fried rice had huge pieces of onion.. ALOT of onion.. I'm a huge onion fan but this was way too many it's crazy how much onion and how huge the pieces were.. and the pan fried meat dumplings were just horrible.. the Spring Rolls were soggy as if they soaked in water.. $60 down the drain.. We ordered via Door Dash as China Chef wasn't available and something was up with Grub Hub. Settled on this place as it had the items we all wanted available on their menu (Mongolian Beef, Singapore Chow Mei Fun, Chip Suey). The Mongolian Beef practically comes with NO BEEF! It's onions and rice; plus my husband said it was just bland. I LOVE Chow Mei Fun and it can be hard to find a restaurant that even carries it. I was unbelievably regretful in making the decision to order Chinese tonight because of my order. The noodles were dry as if they were either made a long time ago or leftovers.... On top of that, the dish was loaded with dry noodles with very little shrimp. I'm used to decent size shrimp when ordering Mei Fun but they use the small shrimp. Sadly, we tossed the food out! The Vegetable Chop Suey was also bland and not something we would ever order again. I did order the chicken and rice soup but I placed it in the fridge after being disappointed and loosing my appetite. I don't recommend this place to anyone. After our take out order today I would give them a zero. Had to wait 16 minutes for them to find my order which is not why I write them up and rate them poorly. My wife's won ton soup tasted like disinfectant! We both tasted it to confirm. Threw it down the garbage disposal. My Mongolian beef did not taste fresh. Food was amazing! We had an order for takeout last night and it was ready when we got in the store for pick up. My in-laws said the food was better than their favorite New York Chinese takeout! I had the Wonton egg drop soup as starter and it was delicious. I then had the Imperial Seafood which had the perfect kick of spice. The only thing was they didn't provide any sauces (soy sauce, duck sauce or chili sauce) and fortune cookie. Maybe we had to request for it next time. read more

Have drove by this restaurant many times on my way to Hong Kong kitchen 2 at S.Higley Rd. and Chandler Hts. On this occasion we decided to give them a try. We ordered the family dinner which gave us quite a variety of dishes. A little expensive at almost $60 including tax. No one menu offering stands out,we found the sweet & sour pork with sauce was the pick of the dishes. However in several dishes, the onions were cut too large and too numerous to be appetizing. First time here! Very small place, was recommended to it by a friend who lives nearby. Ordered, chicken fried rice and sweet and sour pork. Everything came out in a very prompt fashion. All workers were really nice and the food was very good! Was craving Chinese food and I definitely got it. A friend introduced me to the Iron Chef Japan show a few months ago and that caused me to notice this restaurant while shopping at Basha's one morning. The logo on the menu shows a chef in similar stance as the show. This restaurant is in a great location on Power & Chandler Heights right in with Basha's & behind Burger King. The restaurant is very small, as Gregory L. described in his review. One thing that has changed since his review is that now there are 4 booths and 1 small wooden table for 2. While he advised carry out would be a better option, I found the dining room to be nice. I visited at noon on New Year's day and the restaurant was empty. Several people arrived for carry out orders, which tells me the place is popular. The booths were good sized and the wall had photographs of customers enjoying their meal. It gave the restaurant a nice, homey feel. The staff was very friendly and the meal was prepared in about 15 minutes. Plus the soda machine had Orange Slice - I haven't seen that since like 1988! I ordered the General Tso, which is what I order at every Chinese place, but it does serve as a good benchmark for comparison. The dish was among the best I have had. The chicken was lightly crisp and the sauce had a good flavor, but did not drown the plate. You can choose between white or brown rice, and it is loaded with vegetables. Onions, carrots, peas and pork were very prevalent in the fried rice. Another surprise was the egg roll - I have not tasted its equal. It was definitely not frozen like other restaurants use. It wasn't hard and dry, but fresh, handmade and loaded with cabbage. The menu is extensive. I took one home for future considerations. Given my first experience here and the size of the menu, I will be back and trying other dishes. read more

I have ordered here many times and drive 25 min to get our food. Something has changed and the food is no longer what it used to be. We ordered the dumplings which used to be soo good and filled with a beef filling. Now they are little potstickers filled with I think pork filling, like the ones you can buy in the frozen section of a grocery store. Not even close to what they used to be. We also ordered the Singapore Mei Fun which used to be fantastic. It was so dry I couldn't even eat it, there was barely even any chicken, pork or shrimp in it. Not sure how this place is still open. We decided to try it last minute. Never again. The Mongolian Beef was more like Pepper steak had no flavor and was horribly salty. Same with my spouses dish too much salt and no flavor. Also they failed to give us white rice and sauce for egg rolls didn't reality until we got home. Waste of money. There are really good Chinese restaurants just a couple miles in most directions take that extra trip. read more

It's not easy to find good Chinese food around here but Iron Chef is our go to place now. It is a small place with about 4 booths. There was a line of people either picking up food or ordering, this was a great sign for us :o). The food came out on time and the prices were great, they also give you a lot of food! We ordered the steamed meat potstickers, the meat was flavorful although the dough was a tad bit thicker than I have seen before. For entrees, we had Jalapeno beef with brown rice and beef chow mein. The beef in both dishes was quite tender and tasty. The chow mein noodles were soft (like lo mein noodles). The jalapeno beef was hot but in a nice way if you like spicy food. I had to use chopsticks since the plastic utensils provided were flimsy and I was unable to pick up the food. We definitely will be back to try different things on the menu. read more

We bought 4 different plates today to try a bit of everything, as well as some crab Rangoon. I would have liked done dipping sauce with it, but the flavor is the crab was yummy. The different plates we ordered were each flavorful and seasoned perfectly. The spicy dishes were spicy but not overbearing hot. We will def be back. read more
