I came here for dinner with my family and it was a great experience. The facility is a bit small inside, but it wasn't very busy when we got there. We sat down and were able to look at the menu right away. Our server, Jackson, was the sweetest ever. He was attentive and very polite. He answered all of our questions and took our order as soon as he could. Another shout out to Matthew who had served us some of our entrees. He was very nice and friendly too! The food here was all super good! We are so happy we found a good place for some Asian food. Everything came out hot and fresh and pretty quickly. The egg drop soup was very yummy, it does have tofu in it but it doesn't really taste like anything. The noodles were my favorite entree! We ordered 4 entrees worth of food for our party of 4 and had plenty of left overs for the next day. The pricing wasn't too bad for everything you get as well. We came tonight, Saturday around 4:30pm. We placed our order for General Tso chicken, broccoli and beef, shrimp and veggies and chicken lettuce wraps. The General Tso chicken was not our favorite. It could be crispier, it had a thick breading that didn't really stick to the chicken and it's made with white meat when we usually prefer dark meat for this dish. The broccoli, beef, shrimp and vegetables and chicken lettuce wraps were pretty good. We got our "to go" order within about 10 minutes after ordering which was quicker than we expected. read more

First and last time patronizing this place. We decided to order from this place from the decent reviews and placed a takeaway order for an BBQ fried rice, chow fun and a hot and sour soup. Order placed at 530pm -ish and picked up our food at 605pm. Arrived home at 620pm and served my kid a bowl of fried rice. She was saying the rice tasted weird and I had my doubts. Upon having the first mouthful of rice myself, I took away the bowl of rice from my kid immediately. The rice tasted sour! I sniffed the rice and it smelled like spoiled rice. I believe they attempted to cover the smell from the light/dark soy sauce or other sauces but if you bring the rice closer; the rice definitely smell spoiled. Given this, we threw away all our takeaway orders. Be cautious especially if you are ordering takeaway. read more

We wish we could have tried the food on New Year's Eve but unfortunately all their employees called out with the exception of 1 really nice girl. She informed us that it would be a very long time before we could order and get our food due the staff shortage. I appreciate her honesty and will come back at another time because of her. We ordered take out like we have before. We ordered our usual General Tso, orange chicken, fried rice and sizzling rice soup. I was mortified to find a cockroach leg in my soup after I had already been eating it. My mom took the bowl to dump it while I went to the bathroom to throw up. I know some cultures are ok with bugs. It was nice and quiet here. I always judge a place by their wonton soup, the taste of the broth and the water used. This place had the best wonton soup I've had in this state by far. The broth they used tasted perfectly! I didn't have to add any soy sauce to drown out any unnecessary taste. I ordered pan fried chicken dumplings, they were really good, especially with the sauce. I inhaled them. I definitely ordered more than I could handle, because I wasn't able to finish all of my main entree, but they gave me a to-go box and I finished it a few hours later. The green tea I got was ok, and the Thai tea was overly sweet. But it still wasn't bad. I'll definitely come back and get a large wonton soup and another large to go lol read more

Served really hot and fresh, great flavor on all the dishes we've had here. Kung pao had a nice heat. Sesame chicken was delicious. Orange chicken was good as was the Mongolian beef. The fried rice didn't blow my skirt up and brown rice isn't an option. The spring roll was like most spring rolls, inner layer of wrap soggy (I think that's how they're meant to be). Good portions. When you call in a take out and they tell you 15 minutes you better wait 30 minutes because they never have the order ready when you arrive. Seems like they start making the order when you arrive. It's ridiculous to have to wait 15 minutes more for a take out called in 30 minutes ago. Happens almost every time. read more

Whenever the Chinese food craving hits, we just turn to Ubereats for delivery or order directly from the restaurant for takeout. We've tried a handful of different items, but our favorites are the hot and sour soup, shrimp fried rice, and Mongolian beef. Had to walk to the counter and wait until staff came from the back to find out if I could seat myself. Food was excellent, Chicken Lomein! Im so glad we decided to order Mr rice Asian cuisine. The food was absolutely amazing and service was fast enough to where my wife could still make her nail appointment on time. Servers are absolutely amazing! Super attentive to your needs and check in on you multiple times, this is my favorite Chinese place ever to go to! I sometimes do takeout and sometimes dine in, both options are great! I like the orange chicken, general TSO's chicken, the crab Rangoon and edamame I get every time I come! I ordered takeout as a walk in, and they failed to include the pancakes and plum sauce with the mu shu. They also failed to i clude the dipping sauce with the fried tofu. I found the general tso chicken to be just ok. The singapore noodles were good. I don't know if I will order from here again. I paid for mu shu and tofu and will not eat them due to no pancakes, plus sauce and dipping sauce, so I wasted thirty bucks. read more

All very welcoming, pleasant & accommodating. They have a great lunch menu that's affordable. Lunch Specials Served Mon - Fri from 12pm - 3pm. We tried the orange chicken, which seems to be their most popular dish & the general tso's chicken. Both meals included an egg roll & hot & sour soup. The food was authentic, sauced generously & extremely fresh & really tasty! Portions are generous too. Newly opened location. This seems to also be a family run business. Enjoy supporting places like this. However, they also seem to be in need of employees & some complaints about the wait time in other reviews. I have never given this low of a rating for anything, and it makes me sad because I really love the food at this place. We made an online order shortly after 7:02 pm and paid for pick up. The system said that it would be available after 23 minutes. My wife showed up at roughly 730 which is past the time it estimated she waited for 15 more minutes and asked what was taking so long to which the cashier had said "we make sure we take care of occupied tables 1st." three occupied tables in that restaurant shouldn't tax the kitchen. Money online isn't as good as money in person? We finally received our food 50 minutes after ordering and a poor service conversation. paying customers should be served in the order the orders are received. It should not depend on if they dine in or pickup. if pick up is such an inconvenience to the staff, this restaurant should evaluate its estimated wait time. not imply the customers are in the wrong place. read more

Absolute home run Asian restaurant! This used to be a sub shop, so I was not sure what to expect. They have counter ordering and they also provide sit down dining. We decided to eat at the restaurant. The staff was friendly and provided top notch service. The menu is incredible, so many options and so reasonably priced! The food was expertly prepared and delicious. The chicken was tender and the portions were large. I ordered the Kung Pao chicken, so fresh, colorful and delicious. I also ordered the hot and sour soup, anyone that reads my reviews knows I base my entire decision on whether or not I will come back to a Chinese restaurant based entirely on the hot and sour soup. The ambiance inside is cute and clean and would actually be a decent spot for dine-in. I placed a takeout order on a Tuesday evening and waited about 25 minutes for my food to be ready. I ordered: -General Tso's chicken: very crispy, sweet, and not a hint of spice -Broccoli with garlic sauce: not on the menu but they accommodated me since they don't have regular stir-fried green beans which is my normal go-to -House fried rice: looks good and has a decent amount of protein but still a bit bland -Shrimp low mein: noodles were a bit soggy and just ok The prices are also what you would expect for the area. I could definitely see this restaurant catering to the typical Gilbert clientele --this is definitely Americanized Chinese food (and also what I ordered). Overall, I hope the restaurant does well, but personally I'll be making the drive to go a bit farther for more authentic flavors. However, in a pinch for a quick craving fix, this spot will do just fine. My favorite was the General tso's chicken, but would ask for more spice next time! read more

Stopped in last Saturday. Was pleasantly surprised to see it was not an order-at-the-counter type restaurant (the pictures led me to believe it was). There was plenty of parking, it was a nice open space, and very clean, with menus as part of the table settings. It was early so it was not crowded, but they were definitely doing a brisk carry out order. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food came out quickly and piping hot. One other surprise for us was the amount of rice that came out with the meals. In our dining experience, there is almost always twice as much rice as there is of the meat & vegetables. Not so with Mr Rice -- there was actually less rice; in fact, we joked that there almost wasn't enough. :-) There were a few items of note that cause me to give only four stars vs five: 1) the Thai tea tasted watered down, almost as if it was blended w/ water vs milk 2) the egg drop soup seemed to be lacking a few vegetables; I'm used to seeing peas & carrots at least in it, but their version just had corn 3) the food came out so quickly we wondered if it was made fresh to order or pulled from a large pan under a heat lamp Regardless, everything was good! me and my boyfriend went here and were seated immediately, the server was kind but very hovering over me and my boyfriend. when we got our food, the quality was not the best. I got the teriyaki chicken but the sauce was piping hot and the chicken was cold. We just moved here. We ordered food and they sent my soup with NO juice. We had to mix the other dishes with the soup and it still didn't work. I frequent here very often since I work nearby! I've mainly had many of the chicken dishes they have and some of them are hits, some misses, some a little mix in between. The place is family owned and they're all very sweet and accommodating. They always throw in a free egg roll into my order with some yummy sweet and sour sauce. Cashew chicken: probably my favorite item! Very flavorful but can be pretty "wet" and liquidy at times. The cashews could be cooked a little more for an extra crunch. Orange chicken/sesame chicken: I'm not a huge fan of breaded chicken in general but if you are, these are pretty good. Kung Pao: spicy and flavorful! But very minimal meat. The whole dish is veggies pretty much. Curry chicken: definitely not the curry you're thinking of! It's not saucy or creamy. It's moreso chicken stir fry with curry seasoning. Too many veggies. Mongolian: my second fave! Really flavorful but tons and tons of onion. Overall, decent spot. Not the best, but they have potential! I think if they went a little heavier on the meat and a little lighter on the veggies, it would be better. read more
