They used to be really good...when I lived in Queen Creek 7 years ago - unfortunately I'd say it's the worst Chinese food I've ever had Our order: General tso chicken: decent flavor, needed more spice, the breading was soggy not crunchy - it needed crunch! Garlic beef: great flavor, we loved the amount of veggies Egg rolls: good flavor, not greasy, we all enjoyed Fried prawns: hubby liked them, crispy Fried dumplings: lacked flavor and the dough is very strange. Not a typical dumping pan fried dumpling. The dough was very chewy. Fried rice: lacks flavor Hot n sour soup: extremely sour, no spice. It was my husband's. He asked me to try it. I was between 4 and 5 stars. This was a first experience, and it was very positive, particularly so for Queen Creek! Very generous size dishes at reasonable prices (by today's standards), and bonus extra points for the lady selecting 'No Tip' automatically when I swiped my card! This place is so good !! I went here randomly with a friend the about a week ago as we were craving Chinese food. There aren't many Chinese food places in Queen Creek and you usually have to go closer to Phoenix if you want something good. Lady at the counter was so nice and food was brought out quickly and tasted so yummy. I got the lemon chicken and portion size was very very generous and had me taking home leftovers. Other people are saying the lady at the front whom took their order was rude to them, but really I think she just had a blunt tone, which isn't a bad thing, so don't let it discourage you from trying the food ! Going up to the counter and placing your order then sitting down is a common way of running restaurants so I'm also not sure as to why there are so many people disgruntled over that. Dining area itself is clean and quiet, and provides a nice atmosphere to eat in !! Overall, definitely try this place, it's very good :) read more

I ordered the chicken teriyaki and have to say--it was...memorable. The edges were so hardened they could've survived a diesel engine, it must've been a few days old after all it was the weekend. The texture best described as "well-traveled leather." Thankfully, it was generously smothered in teriyaki sauce, which I assume was there to hide the evidence . While the sauce did its best, the chicken clearly had lived a full life before reaching my plate. If you're into mystery meats and strong jaw workouts, this might be your place. LOL / Oh yes, and the maître D reminded me of my drill sergeant in basic training. I was waiting for her to tell me, "you must go into the kitchen and scrub the plates and silverware". This is all tongue and cheek, but I was sadly disappointed on how the place had gone downhill. One star tonight but hopefully two or three later this week or maybe not. read more

Love this restaurant for Chinese takeout cuisine. It is very good and is still hot when placing an order for takeout. Their sweet and sour chicken is one of my favorites as is their orange chicken and Mongolian beef. The only complaint I have is that their menu doesn't have descriptions. So make sure you ask what is in a dish. We got the house fried rice and it has shrimp in it, we didn't know so we were not able to eat it. Run! This food is disgusting and the service is beyond unacceptable. When we called to ensure that a dish was free of one of our food sensitivities the woman said, "I don't know if it has egg! How would I know? I don't cook the food!" When we asked her if she can inquire with the chef she hung up the phone. We called back and she said, "You again?!! I checked! No egg!" yikes! To top it off we received a box of fresh rice and a box of moldy rice. See attached picture. The food was not seasoned, meat had an odd texture, chicken wings tasted old as if they were reheated from yesterday . The food was disgusting, the customer service is horrible. Went there with some family and friends, we were in Queen Creek and we didn't want to go to Panda. So it's a very strange way to place orders. They don't want to see you till you're in completely ready to pay. I asked to pay for some appetizers first so that we could hang out and talk while we figured out we were going to eat, but I got treated like a small child when I was told you have to wait and do your whole order and pay it one time. So, I did that I went and retreated like a little child and waited and ordered all at once. They don't come to your table to take your order, they have you go up and order at the counter, which is fine. I think it is one person running that whole place so I'm cutting her some slack on that one, but you really shouldn't Scold your customers. Anyway, the redeeming factor was the food itself, it was pretty darn good pretty saucy, which we like. It had that nice burnt hot flavor on the lo mein that a lot of places can't seem to get right. Our first time here. You walk up to counter and place your order. Once order has been placed you pick a table and they bring your food out to you. Lady at the front was very nice and attentive. The gentleman who brought out the food was also very nice. We ordered potstickers (which was ok) general tso chicken (good just a bit soggy. Next time will make it more crispy) and the garlic chicken was a bit different then what I'm use to but it was good. Overall the food was good and the service was great. The woman working at the front was extremely friendly and patient. The food was delicious and the lunch portions are huge! We dined in and there is a chandelier in the center of the restaurant but they serve your food on styrofoam, so that was a strange environment. But totally worth it for the price! 2nd time visiting Golden Harvest. The restaurant was closed to dine in eating, but open for carryout. They had plastic lining setup for separation between the customer side and the back counter side to prevent germ cross transfer. I placed an order for orange chicken. The flavor was ok, but there wasn't any extra sauce in it at all. I know this is a personal preference but it is nice to have extra sauce to keep it moist and stir it in. The pieces of meat inside were a bit on the dry side as well. The rice was good sticky rice and I enjoyed that. A very nice portion size for the orange chicken. Not really to my personal taste, but Golden Harvest is a very popular choice in our neighborhood. The staff were friendly and efficient. read more

I came across this restaurant a while back, when I was at a nearby business. I had not heard of it before. In fact, when I searched "Chinese Restaurants" in Yelp for my area, Golden Harvest did not appear. Strange. Anyway, I gave it a shot tonight - I ordered several menu items for take-out. Pork Fried Rice, Vegetables Deluxe, Sweet & Sour Chicken, and a couple of vegetable egg rolls. Included at no charge, were two small containers of plain rice, along with condiments, and four fortune cookies. When I arrived at the restaurant, my order was ready and waiting. The staff was friendly, and the dining room was clean and spacious. I thought the prices were more than reasonable - this was reinforced when I got home and saw how large the portions were. The containers were packed, and nearly overflowing with food! I loaded a plate up, and dug in. Everything was very good - the egg roll was hot and flaky, the veggies crisp, the rice very flavorful, and the sweet & sour chicken crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area - I've been to Chinatown and I've had the best of the best when it comes to Chinese food. While Golden Harvest isn't the best I've ever had, it is certainly very good for this area. It's a solid four-stars in my book, and I definitely recommend it!
