I've tried typical box gyms that were cheaper and couldn't motivate myself to go more than twice a month, so even though OTF is more expensive than some places, it's worth it since it's the first workout I've actually been consistent with. There are all different fitness levels and no one is judgmental about your speed on the treadmill/elliptical/bike, or what weights you're using on the floor (if any). There has been a high turnover of coaches at this studio, but it seemed to be growing pains of a new studio and has been stabilizing the past few months. Coach Boo is my favorite and will motivate me even when I'm tired with how much energy he has!

No sterile white bright lighting here! I really enjoy how you compete against yourself, and everyone can work at their own pace. It's close enough to my house that I can make it in to the 6:15AM workout. The class is based on six different stations, with six minutes of intense exercise at each. You get a whole-body workout, cycling through the different muscle groups, and workouts always include cardio. The workouts are tough but manageable. It's routine for my watch to report 800 calories burned in a single 36-minute workout! The classes are generally small, and everyone is split up into different stations, so it doesn't feel overcrowded or competitive. Because the classes are small, you get a lot of personalized advice from the coaches on your form. Recommended!
